Triple X System

Absorbing the shadow ball from the shadow bat, Kyle could feel a new energy growing in him. He didn’t know what it meant but he didn’t care, as long as it would make him stronger.

’49 more..’ he silently thought sitting to the ground. He wasn’t sure how he’d get the remaining shadow balls, but at least he was a step closer. He was confident in himself he could kill the shadow bats one by one with his frozen katana, but he wouldn’t dare face on a group.

’She’s here again..’ looking front Kyle could see a hooded figure opposite the bars, as a guard opened the bars with the figure walking in.

”You never cease to surprise me.” Lumia softly said pulling the hood back. ”I thought you weren’t going to make it, but shockingly you had a plan.”

”I didn’t do anything special they were the one’s that did the work, I just dealt the last blow.” Kyle shook his head. If it wasn’t for his katana he wouldn’t have killed the shadow bat, and it was the archer and falcon that injured it enough for him to strike.

”True.. But that shadow bat had high resistance, and it was by far higher than three of you combined.” She paused darting her eyes at Kyle.

”What are you trying to say?” Looking at her, Kyle guessed none of them including Lumia knew of the frozen katana, or he wouldn’t have found it. He concluded they didn’t know much about beast weapons or abilities, as most of their items here were technology based.

”I know that weapon you use is special, that’s why you always choose it. It’s a beast weapon isn’t it?” Lumia softly said to which Kyle nodded. He didn’t think she’d know about beast weapons, but maybe he underestimated her a little bit.

”I didn’t think you’d know about beast weapons since here is... advanced.”

”I don’t know much say only an intro, but I know they’re very powerful.” She said with a smile. She’d been researching anything she could find about beast weapons, but unfortunately Lumia kingdom only had little knowledge.

’He’s trying to hide something.’ For some reason, all the data stored on the research of beast weapons had been deleted across all the database. The only person that had access to do such, was none other than the king himself.

”I’ve always been fascinated by them, but I’ve never really seen one.” She excitedly uttered. ”That blue katana, it’s properties must be associated with water right?”

”Ice.”

”Fascinating..” she chuckled lightly shaking her head a bit. Such a weapon with such abilities and perks, was truly a precious item. Shaking her head she dismissed that thought, as she then got on to other important matters.

”My father doesn’t know about it yet, but he’s getting suspicious. I would suggest you be mindful how you use it.” Kyle just nodded, he already knew something like this would happen and he had a plan.

”I appreciate your help, but you don’t have to always come here.” He appreciated her help, but he didn’t want her to go extra and risk herself for him.

”If you’re worried about me then don’t. I can take care of myself, and besides am a princess remember.” She chuckled gently walking out from the cell.

”Oh! one more thing, those flames they aren’t normal. what are they?”

”It’s part of a skill I formed from my fire ability.” Kyle lied he sure as hell wasn’t going to tell her he was a demon, and that was part of his demon skills. Only when he was strong enough to take over this kingdom, would he finally reveal his true self.

”Ok then.. good luck!” She cheered stepping away from the bars, her feet proceeded to the exit of the dungeon.

’He’s lying.’ Lumia could see through Kyle even though he tried to hide it, so she knew he was lying.

’What’s he hiding from me?’ She didn’t know why he lied, but she knew he had his reasons.

’I’ll find out the truth one way or the other.’ She could’ve just let it go but her curiosity got the better of her, and she vowed she would find out the truth.

’Just a little more and I’ll finally breakthrough.’ Looking at the screen he’d reached quite a milestone, as he was now on level 40. It just remained 10 more levels for him to level up, before he finally reached level 50.

”Where am I?” Kyle could see the female archer was now up, he didn’t sense her waking but it didn’t matter.

”You’re in the same dungeon with us. For today at least.” Kyle saw her eyes were closed as she looked round the cell, touching some parts of the wall which was strange.

”You’re blind.” Kyle suddenly said, causing her to stop what she was doing. Turning to his view, she finally opened her eyes as her white pupils met with Kyle’s view.

”Don’t think am fragile because I can’t see.”

”I didn’t think so.” Kyle frowned. he knew how strong she was, and how accurate her shot were even without sight.

”The bat, what happened?” She asked sitting to the floor opposite Kyle, staring at him with her white eyes.

”I killed it.” Kyle casually said and the Archer’s face had changed a bit in shock, before returning to her normal calm demeanor.

’How?’ She pondered. She’d an encounter with one of the shadow bats earlier, and she knew it’s strength. Her with her team tried to take on the shadow bat, but it wasn’t enough. and in the blink of an eye, all the members of her team were viciously killed leaving only her to bear the guilt.

’His aura is different.’ She thought gazing at him, she had an ability that allowed her to see people’s aura’s and thermal heat. Normal people aura’s excluded different colours but they were all alike, but this young man’s aura was so strange. He excluded a dark foggy aura, that screamed insidious and ominous.

”Thanks for keeping me out from the party.” Falcon abruptly spoke sitting up straight, she clutched her chest slightly as she was still in pain.

”You’re awake.” Kyle softly smiled to which falcon smiled back, he was happy she was now awake as that little stunt scared him a bit.

”Why’s she here?” Falcon uttered staring at the archer, she saw her eyes were white which creeped her out. Kyle then filled her up on what happened in the maze, leaving the part about the katana since he didn’t trust the stranger yet.

”Woah! You’re really becoming a man.” Falcon chuckled making Kyle roll his eyes at her. They then discussed other things both relevant and irrelevant, mostly Kyle and falcon as the archer kept to herself.

Tired and still weak they ended their little chit chat, as they still had a big day ahead of them tomorrow planning to hit the sack early.

”I can’t wait to see space God!” Falcon excitedly spoke, laying to the ground thinking of her idol. It didn’t take long before she went off to dream land, with a soft smile planted on her lips. Kyle and the archer also followed suit, they needed to make up for the energy they lost and also recover from their injuries.

*What should we call you.” He was sick of referring to her as the archer, and the system wasn’t being helpful when he inspected her displaying the annoying system error.

”I only say my name to my friends.” She coldly said, turning her face away from Kyle. He didn’t care about her name, but he just wasn’t ok with calling her archer.

”Lilith am coming.” He whispered with his eyes fluttering shut, and just like that night passed and dawn arrived.

....

”Rise and shine peasants! it’s another day to fight for your miserable lives.” The cocky male warden smirked, clanging the metal bars with his iron rod. Kyle falcon and the archer were then led out of the dungeon blindfolded, into the packed stadium.

”Yes.. let’s goo.”

”I’ve lived my whole life for this.”

”Shadow slayer I love you!” A female screamed, held back by the security before she fell down to Kyle. Kyle was a bit surprised they had already given him a nickname, as they chanted it while he walked by.

”Space God!” Falcon screamed running towards ona, who stood at the weapons selection area. The cunning fox did well in avoiding the guards, lifting ona up a bit in her embrace stirring mixed reactions.

”I thought you were dead.” Ona softly said.

”Nothing can keep me apart from you space god.” Falcon proudly said beating her chest.

”Very well then. I’ll be watching you.”

’This idiot..’ Kyle shook his head slightly. He didn’t know if falcon truly had no shame, or was really good at hiding it.

The same procedure was followed, Kyle luckily picking his katana as the maze then protruded upwards from the ground.

’5..’

’4..’

’3..’

’2..’

’1..’

’Go!’

The trio then rushed into the maze with the other competitors, each navigating their way through the maze.

”Ahh! it’s like am in a cage.” Falcon grunted. They hadn’t yet seen any beasts or challenges along the way, but they could hear the sounds of battle as the maze walls rotated.

’Clang!’ The walls shifted again along with them, as they were sent in a different location.

”Bastards.” The archer cursed placing three of her red fiery arrows to her bow, pulling the sting pointing it forward. Kyle didn’t need an explanation, as in front were two hideous beasts.

One was a mutated spider reaching 7 feets high, having 12 eyes along with it’s pointy shards sticking out it’s 8 legs, it’s body purple. The other was what looked like a humanoid bull with black body and red eyes, four horns sticking out it’s forehead as it stood on it’s two hooved feet.

[Quest received!]

[Defeat the spider queen and giant behemoth to level up to 43!]

”Finally some fun.” Falcon smiled, forming her green whip from the liquid ooze.

”Die!” Kyle screamed drawing out his weapon giving him a huge boost in power, as he charged forward to the beasts along with falcon and the archer.

’Roar!!!’ The two menacing beasts roared, accepting their challenge as they proceeded to collision.
