Three Towers Game

Wen Xishu sighed:

”Alright, I’ll wait for one more day.”

...

...

The next day.

The entire bunker was still in the midst of celebration.

Wen Xishu’s enormous posters were being displayed continuously on the lower levels.

On the second level, members of the Xishu Divine Teaching had surrounded the safety house tightly, each singing the victory anthem of the bunker.

On higher levels, the entertainment facilities were also open for free.

As for the students of Three Towers Academy, they too were celebrating during the day. Albert had simply assigned Jabbar to set up the evening party site.

Last night, many students witnessed it – an academy hanging upside down in the sky.

Some guessed it was Deceit Tower Academy, while others were skeptical.

Both teachers and students knew the old headmaster was hosting a party in the evening, but the setup was really simplistic.

So simple that it didn’t even look like a party.

The students of Desire Tower Academy were talented, and despite teachers’ suggestions to quickly set up a song and dance performance, Albert didn’t like any of it.

”I just need a place where the entire faculty and students, and even the distinguished guests from the bunker, can hear my speech. None of that frivolous stuff. You don’t think humans live in a truly comfortable environment, do you?”

”The situation where all resources need to be fought for with our lives has never changed. We’ve just won a battle against the Big Devour.”

Albert sternly refused the idea of entertainment performances.

He just wanted to gather the entire faculty and students to announce something.

...

...

Desire Tower Academy, Garden.

Wenren Mirror liked to play chess alone in the garden.

But today, someone Wenren Mirror never expected to come showed up in the garden.

”You... how come you are here?” Wenren Mirror couldn’t hide his surprise and astonishment.

He could use many methods to make himself appear composed, but in the presence of this person, he merely needed to show his true self.

One of the Five Elders, hidden in the Celestial Ladder List of Desire Tower, the highest authority above the Wenren Family – Evelyn.

Evelyn said:

”Xiao Jing, don’t be nervous, I’m here to find you today.”

Wenren Mirror found it hard not to be nervous.

Each elder corresponded to a family: William Gordon with the William Family, Liu Zhizai with the Miyamoto Family, Luo Feng with the Luo Family, Matthew Jones with the Jones Family.

As for Evelyn, she was the backing of the Wenren Family.

Wenren Mirror immediately bowed and said:

”You can summon me anytime.”

Evelyn smiled and said:

”Your desire sequence seems to be more at ease. Not long ago, I heard from your father that you achieved a level seven completion. Although you were just a participant, you also received substantial rewards.”

Wenren Mirror did not hide anything:

”Yes.”

Evelyn nodded:

”Was it with Wen Xishu?”

Wenren Mirror hesitated for two seconds:

”Yes, but I can’t reveal more.”

Evelyn still maintained a calm expression:

”It’s okay, I won’t ask about certain things. But an old friend of mine asked me to inquire if Wen Xishu has strong combat abilities.”

”You only need to answer what you know. I don’t need absolute truth, I just need an outcome.”

When Wenren Mirror heard the first sentence, he wondered if any of the elders were targeting Wen Xishu?

He had decided to lie.

But Evelyn’s next sentence made him feel something was off.

He lifted his head, looking into Evelyn’s eyes.

Evelyn didn’t use any desire sequence, appearing as amiable as a sister.

Wenren Mirror had to admit that Evelyn must have been a breathtaking beauty when she was young in the bunker.

”No. During our time in Desire Tower, I didn’t see Wen Xishu employ any violent means. However, Wen Xishu did have some gains in Deceit Tower, so he might be able to handle some dangerous situations.” Wenren Mirror lied calmly.

Evelyn continued to ask:

”So, you believe Wen Xishu might possess some combat abilities, but unable to use them in Desire Tower, and that these abilities stem from his explorations in Deceit Tower?”

”However, this is mere speculation. At least during your cooperation, Wen Xishu seemed powerless?”

If Evelyn insisted on discerning the truth, with Wenren Mirror’s current abilities, it would be impossible to lie in front of her.

This was also why Wenren Mirror found it strange because Lady Evelyn simply didn’t seem to care about the truth.

She was even deliberately giving hints. Wenren Mirror nodded:

”Yes.”

But Evelyn merely smiled and said:

”Good, that’s the answer I wanted. Remember your answer, in any circumstance from now on, this is the answer. Wen Xishu may be strong, but all such strength comes from his explorations in Deceit Tower. Moreover, this is just your personal speculation, which should not be taken as truth.”

”Understood?”

Wenren Mirror was puzzled but still nodded.

In reality, only Lady Evelyn in the entire bunker could expose his lies. But if Lady Evelyn was willing to believe his lies...

Then the lies would become the truth, a truth that no one could question.

Wenren Mirror wasn’t foolish; after thinking it over, he immediately figured out the cause and effect.

Someone high-ranking wanted to harm Wen Xishu, and this person had such a status that Lady Evelyn couldn’t offend, yet she stood against that person’s agenda.

Wenren Mirror felt somewhat relieved.

Evelyn smiled and said:

”Child, you can also attend tonight’s party. There’s going to be a good show.”

Wenren Mirror nodded:

”I will be there.”

...

...

The thirteenth level of the bunker.

The Patriarch of the Miyamoto Family had received a call not long ago.

”Let’s go. We should all attend the party. This party is not just an internal event of the Three Towers Academy.”
