Three Towers Game

Slaughter Tower, sixtieth floor.

After entering the State of No Self, relying on his formidable combat power, Xun Hui, who continuously crushed his enemies’ heads with his fists, was currently enjoying the battlefield.

”This is exhilarating! These guys seem to not feel any pain.”

After killing dozens of monsters, Xun Hui finally overturned his earlier conclusion—these enemies were not the kind that needed to be decapitated to be killed.

Through patient observation, bold speculation, and thoughtful consideration, Xun Hui deduced that these monsters probably had a ”masochistic constitution.”

The type that gets more excited the more you hit them, feeling as though being rewarded.

So it’s best to decapitate them directly, killing them in one blow, instead of letting them find pleasure in the pain of your punches.

But just when Xun Hui thought he had found the right answer after a whole day of killing—

He suddenly noticed that the surrounding monsters began to wail in pain.

”Hey! Are you mocking me? Where did that excited state go!”

Xun Hui was infuriated.

But the monsters were indeed in great pain. The rule they depended on to survive, the ”Pain Currency,” seemed to have vanished.

With their strong pain tolerance and the trait of getting stronger the more they hurt, they had caused Xun Hui a lot of trouble, although Xun Hui had been killing them unceasingly, he had also sustained considerable injuries.

Xun Hui was prepared to flee the area if he couldn’t win the battle.

But suddenly, all the monsters attacking Xun Hui began to experience extreme pain. Their bodies started to break apart, flesh bursting out.

Xun Hui was stunned, and after a while, he was certain that these monsters were not mocking him.

They were truly in pain, but unlike before, they seemed to have lost some precondition that allowed them to enjoy pain.

For Xun Hui though, despite the strange scene before him, it ultimately worked in his favor.

”Though I don’t know why you are suddenly in pain, do not blame me for taking advantage of your vulnerability now.”

A new round of harvesting began.

...

...

Desire Tower, sixtieth floor, Hujiang District 19.

In the Morioka family’s residence, Wenren Mirror pushed aside the ninja, already melted, and looked unbelievably at the source of light, feeling the terrifying power.

He went to the basement and found the two children, Akiyama Sachi and Morioka Hitomi, tightly embracing each other, both in a state of ecstasy.

The two children had their eyes closed but were not asleep.

An unimaginable force emerged from Morioka Hitomi’s body in the form of black mist, but when it came close to Akiyama Sachi, it turned into a golden glow.

In the Celestial Kingdom of the Goddess of Suffering, the transition of the Compassion King, the two forces perfectly fused under their hosts’ influence.

Wenren Mirror felt a sense of awe towards this power.

For the first time, he sensed the power of such a near-primordial sequence.

At this moment, he had a premonition that there might be changes happening throughout Hujiang.

His body, under the illumination of the golden light, had recovered from a near-death state to a peak condition. Wenren Mirror even felt that his control over the Desire Sequence was stronger than before.

While dealing with the ninja, he had forcibly activated the Desire Sequence, at the cost of his life, to forcibly reverse the ninja’s will.

But now, Wenren Mirror had a feeling that he could achieve the same outcome with more ease.

If he faced the previous predicament again, he wouldn’t be in such a dire situation.

This evolution was very extravagant; he believed that if he broke through to the seventieth floor of the Desire Tower and gained the ability to survive there, he might reach this state.

But now, under the golden light’s illumination, Wenren Mirror felt his strength leap forward significantly.

”The two children are releasing their power, the earlier monster was melted by this power, but I was healed by it, and not just healed, I got a breakthrough.”

”What the children are doing, could it be… blessor purification?”

Wenren Mirror seemed to have guessed.

Hujiang is an extremely large city, healing everyone’s pain in such a city is obviously impossible.

While the Celestial Kingdom of the Goddess of Suffering and the transition of the Compassion King are powerful, they are not enough to completely purify the highly corrupted Hujiang.

What the children are doing is not healing or purifying the city.

They are aiding some very special people.

Like himself, Little Tree, and people like Akiyama Sachi and Morioka Hitomi.

This city has many endowed individuals, both good and bad, but there’s no doubt that if these endowed ones appear in the Deceit Tower, it indicates they have great obsessions, experienced great pain, or have inherently twisted minds.

Now, Akiyama Sachi and Morioka Hitomi are blessing some people, granting them ”evolution.”

Just like how Wenren Mirror now felt a new breakthrough in his use of the Desire Sequence.

”Those endowed individuals living in pain and distortion will all be blessed, right? By then… many situations in Hujiang will open up completely.”

These are just Wenren Mirror’s speculations.

But this speculation is very close to the truth.

Because even Wen Xishu received a great gift; under the blessing of the golden light, Wen Xishu’s orange consumables became ”personalities” that could be used multiple times.

Wenren Mirror then realized that he and Wen Xishu had indeed brought a great impact on the upcoming Three Towers War.

Although he hasn’t seen the guide yet, at this moment, he could already feel that—All the tasks he had done before, the impact on the future, even if combined, couldn’t surpass this time.
