The Wizard Has A Biochip

I thought I was well prepared.

After everything I had studied, all the information my biochip had stored, and all the experience I had accumulated up to that point, I truly believed I would be able to cross the underground world without any major problems.

I was wrong.

We had not even advanced three hundred meters when we were greeted by the first ambush.

Yes.

An ambush.

— Cusshhh... Moridaaa!

The sound came from a crack in the wall.

My head turned instantly.

Too late.

A rat the size of a dog burst out of the crack.

Its body was covered by a layer of dark, hardened fur, almost the same color as the stone around it.

Its mouth opened grotesquely, revealing long, sharp teeth covered in a viscous substance.

Poison.

The creature lunged directly toward my head.

— Damn it!

I had been caught completely off guard.

The cold, hard stone wall had perfectly concealed the creature’s life signature.

The biochip had detected those small red dots earlier, but I hadn’t expected a creature hiding so close to be able to emerge like that.

When the red dot suddenly appeared in my vision...

Its fangs were already practically upon me.

If my Agility were higher, perhaps I could have reacted.

But I only had three points.

My reaction speed simply wasn’t enough.

My body didn’t respond in time.

So I was left with only one option.

Trust my armor.

It won’t kill me.

That was all I could think.

But it will dent my armor.

The fangs were about to hit my face when...

ZAP!

A sharp whistle cut through the air beside my ear.

A red shadow passed in front of me.

Ruby.

She had been behind me just a few seconds earlier.

Now she was in front of me.

Her fingers were extended like blades.

And then...

CRAAASH!

The claws of Ruby’s right hand pierced through the stone rat.

The creature was cut in half.

Its entrails exploded to the sides.

Some of the blood hit my face.

The metallic smell filled the tunnel.

I stood still for several seconds.

I looked at the corpse on the ground.

— Damn underground creatures...

I ran my hand over my face, wiping away some of the blood.

— They really know how to choose the perfect place for an ambush.

I looked at Ruby.

Then at her right hand.

Her claws had elongated.

They looked like actual swords.

The tips were extremely sharp.

Ruby noticed my gaze and smiled.

— Hehehe... I see my consort was almost bitten by a rat.

I laughed.

I approached her.

Then I playfully slapped her right buttock.

Slap!

Ruby took a small step forward purely out of reflex.

She slowly turned her face.

Her green and red eyes stared at me.

There was an expression of disbelief on her face.

— George...

I smiled innocently.

— Go ahead, my sweet red fairy. I’ll cover the rear.

She stared at me.

For a few seconds.

Then she sighed.

— You’re lucky this empress likes you.

She turned around.

— Otherwise...

She didn’t finish the sentence.

She didn’t need to.

Ruby quickly took the lead.

And, honestly, it was an excellent decision.

No underground creature that tried to ambush us managed to escape her claws.

Even if they appeared only a few meters away, Ruby reacted instantly.

Her magical claws cut through flesh, muscle, and bone as if they were paper.

With her absurd speed, she practically turned every ambush into an execution.

One hour later...

More than fifty underground creatures had been killed.

And I had barely needed to do anything.

—Ruby, you’re so hot; my cock is already hard just watching you hunt...

Ruby glanced back.

—You’re a perverted boy, you know that?

—When I see your ass swaying like that, I can’t help myself—I want to have sex again later...

Ruby just laughed, licking her lips in a hot, lustful way.

We continued advancing.

The environment remained practically the same.

Until, at a certain moment, I felt something.

I stopped.

Ruby also stopped.

I placed my right hand against the cave wall.

I tilted my head.

I pressed my ear against it.

Then I heard.

— HAAAAAAA! I SWEAR I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!

BANG!

POW!

— HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I blinked.

I looked at Ruby.

She also seemed surprised.

There were creatures fighting on the other side of the wall.

And it didn’t seem like a small fight.

From the sound...

It was a true massacre.

— Looks like we’ve found a little war.

Ruby approached.

— Can we get through?

I shook my head.

— No.

— The wall was too thick.

And, honestly, I had no intention of finding out what was happening.

In the underground world, making too much noise was dangerous.

Even a small injury could be troublesome.

Anything could attract larger creatures.

And larger creatures meant trouble.

So we continued forward.

The first truly serious problem appeared in the seventh hour after we entered the underground world.

A group of Murmuring Toads appeared.

I had already studied some information about them.

And, when I finally encountered them...

I immediately understood why they were considered dangerous.

They were enormous.

Each one was approximately the size of an ox.

Their green bodies were covered in hard scales.

Their thick skin looked like natural armor.

They weren’t considered large creatures in the underground world.

But they were also far from small.

They possessed extremely strong bones.

Their mouths were enormous.

And their long tongues were covered in a poisonous layer.

Thick saliva dripped from their teeth.

They looked like they were simply waiting for the right moment to devour us.

But, unlike the small creatures we had encountered earlier...

They didn’t immediately rush to attack us.

They waited.

They waited patiently.

Until we had completely entered their territory.

Then...

The eyes appeared.

Green eyes glowed in the darkness.

Ruby immediately assumed a combat stance.

Zosh~~

Ruby leaped forward.

Ruby’s claws, which had previously destroyed the stone rats, probably wouldn’t be enough to pierce those scales.

Bang!

Ruby’s blow struck the creature’s large, swollen belly.

Uwwww~~

The toad that received the blow trembled and vomited strange pieces of meat and intestinal fluid, but it didn’t seem to be truly injured.

Their weak points were mainly their eyes and neck.

But reaching them wouldn’t be easy.

Furthermore, those creatures possessed extremely strong lower limbs.

A direct blow from those feet could cause devastating damage.

And there were still the natural effects associated with their elemental affinity.

Paralysis.

Slowness.

In such a limited space...

That could become extremely dangerous.

An ironic smile appeared on my face.

— Ruby.

— Yes?

I took out two summoning cores.

— Come.

I threw them onto the damp ground beside us.

The cores partially sank into the soil.

A wave of magical energy traveled through the ground.

The soil began to move.

Mud accumulated.

Sand and earth were pulled toward a single point.

BOOM!

A silent roar seemed to pass through the surroundings.

A huge mass of mud began to take shape.

First, the legs appeared.

Then the torso.

The body’s structure expanded.

And finally...

The enormous Hunter Knight mounted on the Giant Shark King took shape.

This was a completely different golem from the one Ruby had seen earlier in the Arcangrove Tower.

Ruby stared at it.

I climbed onto the creature’s back.

Then I extended a hand toward her.

— Ruby, come!

She smiled.

— Hahah! Good, consort!

Her eyes gleamed.

— This empress approves of your hidden tricks!

She moved forward.

For someone with Ruby’s speed, escaping those Murmuring Toads was practically like taking candy from a baby.

If Ruby only wanted to escape, she would probably take just a few seconds.

She retreated and returned to my side.

Then her eyes turned toward the golem.

She began observing it carefully.

I noticed the change in her expression.

Curiosity.

Pov Ruby

My gaze slowly traveled over the enormous figure of the Hunter Knight, who remained mounted on the gigantic Mud Shark King summoned by George.

The creature was grotesque and impressive at the same time, with that appearance that made anyone think twice before approaching it.

How did he manage to get something like this?

I tilted my head slightly, analyzing every detail.

Could it be one of his summoned creatures?

My gaze returned to the Mud Shark King.

Perhaps George had found something new.

Perhaps that core had been obtained after facing the Giant Shark in the Arcangrove Tower.

The more I thought about it, the more hypotheses came to mind.

Then, a small smile appeared at the corner of my lips.

It was almost amusing.

And apparently, I still underestimated him.

Pov George Gil - Mc

— What is it? — I asked.

Ruby narrowed her eyes.

— Nothing.

It was clearly a lie.

But I didn’t have time to insist.

The Murmuring Toads began approaching, so Ruby jumped and sat in front of me. I grabbed her by the waist.
