The Wizard Has A Biochip

The next day, I left the City of Distant Wind riding a horse.

I turned my head.

The City of Distant Wind was behind me.

The walls, the towers, the buildings, and even some of the taller structures could be seen in the distance.

It was strange.

I had spent quite a lot of time in that place.

And now I was simply leaving.

So I sighed.

I turned my face forward again.

I pushed the image of the city to the back of my mind and deliberately stopped thinking about it.

My next destination was much more important.

Lunatity.

A great port for mages.

Unlike ordinary cities, Lunatity did not truly belong to any kingdom.

It was a meeting point.

Mages from different towers passed through there.

Naturally, such an important place needed protection proportional to its importance.

High-level mages protected Lunatity.

And there was one rule that no one dared to break.

Murder was forbidden.

It didn’t matter who the target was.

Inside Lunatity, killing someone was an extremely efficient way to turn oneself into an enemy of practically the entire magical community, so during the war, living in a place like that wouldn’t be a problem, for wealthy acolytes, obviously.

My goal in this place was simple.

Find Ruby.

A small smile appeared on my face.

I can’t deny it, I miss my big and nervous red fairy.

It had been a while since that crazy pussy last squeezed my cock; just thinking about the vaginal contractions Ruby’s pussy is capable of made my cock start to get hard.

And I was curious to find out how she was doing.

One week later.

The journey had been much faster than it normally would have been.

I had consumed a few speed potions along the way.

I also used some extremely basic enchantments to reduce the weight my horse had to carry.

It wasn’t a particularly sophisticated technique.

But it worked.

And thanks to that, we managed to cross an enormous distance in just one week.

The horse was tired.

I wasn’t exactly rested either.

But the destination was finally before me.

I raised my eyes.

The sky was dark.

It was night.

However, in the distance, there was an extremely interesting sight.

Flying boats crossed the sky.

Small bright lights marked their structures, turning them into luminous dots against the darkness.

Some rose.

Others descended.

Some stopped at the top of a gigantic mountain before continuing their journey.

I watched all of it in silence.

It was truly interesting.

Of course, I had seen magical transportation before.

But Lunatity was different.

There was an enormous number of them concentrated in a single region.

However, I knew that this probably represented only a small portion of the magical traffic.

When acolytes were sent on important missions of extreme danger, the necessary resources to transport them were made available.

But low-level missions like that one in the City of Distant Wind?

No one seemed to care.

After approaching a little closer, I noticed that the mountain had been completely modified.

Artificial structures covered a large part of its surface.

Along the slopes, countless points of light could be seen.

There were probably dozens of establishments hidden within that mountain.

It was practically a vertical city.

It seems to be an excellent commercial center.

I became a little interested.

But...

It’s a shame I won’t be staying here for more than a day.

If I had a few days free, I would certainly visit the markets.

When I finally reached the base of the mountain, I began observing the people around me.

All the acolytes passing through there possessed a similar aura.

Level 3.

Some had just advanced.

Others possessed a much more solid aura.

And there were even some whose spiritual strength was already approaching the limit of a pseudo-mage at the peak of the third level.

I was probably the only Level 2 acolyte in that region.

I smiled bitterly.

It wasn’t difficult to understand the reason.

If it weren’t for Kalikol’s influence over Gael...

I wouldn’t be participating in that mission.

A mission classified with a Red danger level.

But I was already here.

There was no point in complaining.

I got off the horse.

The animal was breathing heavily.

I ran my hand over its neck.

— You did a good job.

I removed the saddle.

The horse immediately seemed relieved.

I held the saddle for a few seconds.

Then I gave its hindquarters a strong slap.

— Go.

The horse reared up.

— Whinny!

It neighed and began running away.

I watched the animal disappear down the road.

I no longer needed it.

Besides, it would be impossible to take it with me for the next parts of the journey.

I took out a small potion.

I opened the container.

An unpleasant smell immediately spread through the air.

I poured the liquid over the saddle.

Fssssss...

The saddle began to dissolve.

A foul-smelling smoke rose into the air.

Within a few moments, the materials of the saddle had been completely destroyed.

Then I walked toward the enormous elevator installed at the base of the mountain.

There were several platforms.

Cabins constantly went up and down.

Some were full.

Others returned empty.

The mechanism seemed to operate without stopping.

I stopped in front of one of the operators, who was an elderly Level 3 acolyte.

He wore a dark uniform and carried a small metal badge attached to his chest.

The man quickly looked me over.

— Next.

I approached.

— How much does it cost to go up?

He looked at me.

— It depends.

I frowned.

— Depends?

— Yes.

He pointed toward a sign with some information.

— Where do you want to go?

— We can take you to the airport or the market.

— I want to go to the Airport!

The operator nodded.

— Then the price is 5 magic crystals.

— Payment in advance.

I took out the necessary amount and placed them in his hand.

The operator quickly counted them.

Then he nodded.

— Everything is correct.

He handed me a small metal token.

— Cabin seven.

I looked toward where he was pointing.

— Thank you.

— You’re welcome.

I walked toward the indicated cabin.

The door was open.

I entered.

The interior was more spacious than I expected.

There were seats along the sides and some runes engraved on the metal walls.

Other people entered as well.

When everyone was settled, the doors began to close.

The runes of the elevator began to glow.

The cabin began to rise.

As soon as the elevator reached the top, I felt a small vibration travel through the cabin.

Vmmmm...

The runes on the walls gradually lost their glow.

Then...

Clac.

The doors opened.

It was enormous.

Much larger than I had imagined.

A huge platform had been built on top of the mountain, surrounded by metal structures and stone towers covered in runes.

But what really caught my attention were the flying boats.

There were several of them hovering in the air, a few meters from the boarding platform.

Some were small, intended for only a few people.

Others were enormous, resembling actual ships that had been adapted.

The structures floated silently, sustained by magical formations.

It was at that moment that I heard a male voice behind me.

— Get out of the way, you damn country bumpkin.

I blinked.

Before I could even turn my head, I felt a shoulder collide with mine.

Thump!

My body took a small step to the side.

The man passed by me without even looking back.

— What is a Level 2 like you doing here?

He continued walking.

He didn’t even slow his pace.

I looked at his back.

The guy had simply insulted me, shoved me, and continued on his way.

I could have responded.

But there was absolutely no advantage in doing so.

Even so, I couldn’t help but have a thought.

If I were strong enough...

I looked in the direction that man had disappeared.

I’d make that bastard swallow his own teeth.

My expression turned cold for a few seconds.

I continued walking.

I spent a few minutes exploring the airport.

There were magical signs indicating different destinations.

I looked for Ruby, but I couldn’t find her.

She hadn’t arrived yet.

So I walked toward the area designated for the mission’s transportation.

One of the entrances led directly to the underground world associated with the Kar-Dur Tower.
