The Versatile Master Artist

”Cousin, do you really look down on me like this?”

Ole hissed.

He couldn’t understand why Anna would rather be seen as a joke than obediently cooperate with them.

Why was it necessary,

Where did the other party’s confidence come from, or was she simply holding on with false bravado?

”I suggest you think it over...” He sneered.

”No need.”

This time, Anna did not hesitate.

She rang the bell on the table and asked the butler to call in the caretaker to push her away, ending this conversation: ”Because I don’t have any faith in you at all.”

”I look down on both you and the future you have planned.”

Anna said calmly, ”Those who abandon art will also be abandoned by art. Those who believe beauty can be measured by money will ultimately be fooled by the market. Wealth is merely a tool to reach eternal beauty, not the reason we embark on a journey to seek the Muse.”

”I originally wanted to tell you that the vision and persistence of the Ilyena family will be proven naturally over time.” Anna paused for a moment and blinked, ”But now, in not too long, you can... hmm, let’s just see each other in the April annual meeting.”

The girl’s thought was actually to suggest that her cousin Ole go to the bookstore in a while to buy a copy of Scholastic Group’s newly released ”Little Prince” to have a look.

Just as she was about to speak,

Anna thought it wiser not to stir up additional trouble and swallowed her words.

She knew,

Even if she talked about Detective Cat today, it probably wouldn’t matter.

A private bank running off to an international publishing giant to try to stop the release of a fairy tale book. Whether they have the capability to do so is questionable, but it does sound a bit too ridiculous.

No one would actually do that.

Ole, who had this kind of personality, would definitely never take a small illustrator to heart.

His thoughts weren’t exactly wrong, he just encountered an entirely unreasonable painter.

Ifn’t for the fact that this sister’s works were too surprising, not even the former Miss Ilyena would believe a fairy tale illustration could stir anything up.

”Just wait quietly for the flowers to bloom. The outcome will naturally be seen in time.”

This thought crossed Anna’s mind.

Miss Ilina was pushed to the doorway and seemed to be reminded of something.

She gestured for the caretaker to stop briefly, placing her hand on the door frame and turning to face the actress who had been bewildered since they began to quarrel.

”By the way, sister, let me say one more thing.” Anna smiled mischievously.

”No matter what sweet words he has told you, personally I do not suggest you have too much expectation of my cousin, this playboy, okay? You know what? He just told me that you’re a bitch whose brain is not even a third of her chest size!”

Anna stared at the room for two seconds.

She was very satisfied to see the somewhat naive and innocent sexy lady’s face turning from blue to white, not knowing if from anger or embarrassment.

Her cousin was right.

American women from the New Continent are indeed wild enough.

As demure as a little bird a while ago, now as furious as ever.

The actress, slightly taller than Ole after putting on high heels, clearly understood that the elegant Miss had no reason to deceive her.

She exploded!

With one hand clutching Ole’s tie and the other poking his chest, she angrily shouted something like ”You told me last night that you loved me,” without caring about being a guest in someone else’s house, and instantly got entangled with Ole.

”Let’s go.”

Anna nodded, releasing her grip to let the caretaker wheel her out of the parlor, leaving all the commotion behind.

”It looks like that lady is going to start a fight with Mr. Krueger, Miss. Should I send someone to intervene?”

Half a minute later,

The butler caught up from behind.

The elder servant’s words were rarely laced with a sense of schadenfreude, asking only out of professional ethics, without any intent to intervene in the farce.

Anna smiled silently.

Having received news from Detective Cat, she was in a particularly good mood, thus having the leisure to do such a small prank for revenge before leaving.

It caused Ole’s cousin no real harm, but Miss Ilina just wanted to wipe that disgusting smile off his face.

In her heart, Anna secretly cheered for the actress, hoping she would give Ole’s cousin’s smooth cheek, without any stubble, a couple of scratches; two big slaps would be even better.

But after all, she shook her head: ”Forget it, that sister is still in high heels, it’s disadvantageous for her to move, better separate them.”

”I just left a footman to keep an eye on them. If Mr. Krueger hits back too fiercely, separate them and call the police. By the way, I know a few reputable anti-domestic violence lawyers?” The butler sneered twice.

After thinking, Anna nodded: ”Hmm, then let’s do it like that. Take me back to my bedroom, I need to rest for a while.”

Miss Ilina returned to her room.

After she let the servant leave, she maneuvered her wheelchair to the balcony, gently gazing at the primrose fields outside the window.

Truly beautiful.

In the distant purple draped tents, the birthday party continued, but Anna no longer wished to go down and endure those people’s insincere flattery and congratulations.

On Anna’s 22nd day, no matter how many troubling matters arose or how many people lurked in shadows, eyeing the Ilyena family’s industries.

She had already received the most satisfying birthday gift.
