The Versatile Master Artist

The middle-aged man turned his head to look at Miao Angwen.

Japanese crime syndicates like to make their erring subordinates cut off a finger.

In Myanmar, it’s much rougher and more ruthless.

The counterfeit painters under Brother Hao have to wield a brush, so cutting off a finger would affect their work, hence roulette is used instead.

The middle-aged man believes in Buddha.

If you survive, consider it the Bodhisattva sparing your life; if the gun fires, don’t blame others.

”This time regarding the matter with Gu Weijing, let’s say I didn’t make myself clear.”

Brother Hao looked at the shattered teacup on the ground, smiled, and tossed a dark small box to Miao Angwen: ”So, a cup of hot tea, a minor punishment for a major lesson. The item in the small box is to calm your nerves. But know this, the next time you screw up, whether you’re spared or not depends on the Bodhisattva.”

”Go apologize to our Mr. Xiao Gu, and don’t startle my koi fish, affecting his creative state. I heard recently that he’s preparing to participate in an art exhibition, quite an ambitious kid. Gu Weijing’s hand is worth far more than your life.”

After Brother Hao finished speaking, he turned and left, with the bald man following him out.

Miao Angwen sat on the urine-stained ground for a full five minutes before he opened the small box with trembling hands, and then he was dumbfounded again.

The brilliant gold light was dazzling.

Brother Hao might indeed be the devil, but he is a rather generous one,

The box contained a Rolex Daytona, an 18K gold and steel watch, worth at least 20,000 US dollars on the market.

He didn’t know whether he should be afraid or ecstatic right now.

Miao Angwen lay on the ground, hugging the empty bullet chamber and the Rolex watch, his shoulders twitching rhythmically.

It was like laughing, yet crying.

...

”Mr. Gu, let’s go.”

At the intersection beside Fitz School, Uncle Ah Lai took the backpack from Gu Weijing’s hand and opened the rear door of an old Hyundai Elantra.

”You don’t have to call me Mr. Gu, just call me Xiaogu like before.”

Gu Weijing sat in the back seat of the Elantra.

This car, rumored to be acquired by Uncle Ah Lai from somewhere, was only a few years younger than Gu Weijing himself, and in total, it cost less than one thousand dollars.

The car was old,

but the engine worked, the lights turned on, and the air conditioning was powerful, which in a place like Myanmar, was considered a good car.

”Understood, sir... Mr. Xiao Gu.” Uncle Ah Lai glanced at the rear-view mirror and started the car.

Gu Weijing smiled helplessly.

Ever since Uncle Ah Lai agreed to be his assistant, this silent gatekeeper entering work mode seemed like a completely different person.

He worked very meticulously and earnestly, even the address he used was always respectful.

This was a trait left over from his military background.

The requirements for a VIP escort group are different from that of a bodyguard, a bodyguard could blend in with their employer, but the military is a place with strict ranks.

VIP is VIP,

You cannot become overly familiar with leaders just because you frequently drive for them.

Uncle Ah Lai still retained his former style, even though his current monthly salary was only five hundred dollars, he still carried the habits ingrained in him.

Gu Weijing lay comfortably on the seat, preparing to rest for a little.

Uncle Ah Lai had a slight limp, which did not affect his driving.

He drove slowly, but steadily, with smooth acceleration and deceleration.

Gu Weijing had heard that some seasoned drivers could drive in such a way that their boss could work in the backseat without being disturbed.

He didn’t know if this saying was true or not.

But when Uncle Ah Lai drove, it might be a bit challenging to paint, but it truly gave a feeling of being able to read or browse without getting car sick, and one could even take a nap without any issues.

Gu Weijing closed his eyes and opened the system’s virtual panel, noticing the system’s new task.
