The Quest for Immortality

”Registered under Mo Hua’s name?”

Xun Ziyou was taken aback.

Elder Master Xun glanced at him indifferently, ”What? Not possible?”

”No,” Xun Ziyou replied awkwardly, ”It’s not that it’s not possible. This time, discovering the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons, eradicating this group of monster cultivators, and rescuing those three children of Ling Huxiao, it was indeed thanks to Mo Hua, but...”

Xun Ziyou hesitated, ”This is somewhat against the rules. I fear it won’t convince everyone...”

Elder Master Xun’s expression darkened slightly, ”Convince who? Those who are capable should do more, those who work hard should gain more. If our Taixu Gate could carve fat meat from the Sever Gold Sect, isn’t it thanks to this child, Mo Hua? If anyone has objections, tell them to come to me, I’ll see what excuse they can find.”

Xun Ziyou smiled bitterly, ”Yes...”

Elder Master Xun said, ”When the time comes, you handle it yourself, pick some clean ones with fewer entanglements, allocate the Tao cultivation industries first to my side, then transfer them to Mo Hua’s name.”

”If people ask, just say it’s my decision. Of course, if no one asks, don’t publicize it, less fuss is always better...”

After speaking, Elder Master Xun sighed mildly and remarked:

”It’s not easy being a loose cultivator, especially without spirit stones, you can’t move an inch.”

”Now his realm is low, it may not be obvious, but in the future, when his cultivation rises, his every breath will consume massive amounts of spirit stones. Without some family’s wealth, how can he manage...”

”You are right, Ancestor.” Xun Ziyou replied.

Yet in his heart, he still felt some grumbles.

If these words were heard by others, and they didn’t think Mo Hua was your own grandson, that would be strange...

However, this time at the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons, Mo Hua’s contributions were substantial, rewarding him is indeed reasonable and fair.

Xun Ziyou cupped his hands and said:

”Once the matters with the Sever Gold Sect are discussed, I’ll follow your instructions, pick some industries, allocate them to Mo Hua’s name, and the annual spirit stone profits will be given directly to him...”

Unexpectedly, Elder Master Xun interrupted, ”Not now.” .

”Not give?” Xun Ziyou was somewhat surprised.

Elder Master Xun nodded and said, ”Keep it for now, don’t give him.”

Seeing Xun Ziyou’s confusion, Elder Master Xun continued, ”He’s still young, what does he need so many spirit stones for?”

”Too many spirit stones can easily lead to corruption and laziness, losing the will to strive.”

”In the future, when he truly lacks spirit stones for cultivation, then give them to him.”

”Offering timely help is always better than adding a decorative touch.”

The same favor, an offering in times of need, is what people remember.

In times of abundance, people might not be so attentive.

This was a bit of Elder Master Xun’s private concern.

He wanted Mo Hua to remember more of Taixu Gate’s kindness.

Of course, he also held some apprehension in his heart.

And that is ”Gui Tao’s people”...

Mo Hua’s Divine Thought talent was incredibly strong, even potentially stronger than Gui Tao’s people. If he strayed, the consequences would be unimaginable.

He might even become a Demon Head more terrifying than Gui Tao’s people...

Therefore, these spirit stones should only be given when Mo Hua truly grows up and steadfastly holds onto his Taoist Heart.

Otherwise, it would be creating a ”great calamity”.

These words, Elder Master Xun did not voice out.

Xun Ziyou didn’t understand the underlying issues, he just nodded and said, ”The Ancestor’s considerations are correct.”

Then the two chatted for a while longer.

When the matters were mostly discussed, Xun Ziyou cupped his hands and said, ”It’s getting late, I shall take my leave first.”

”Hmm.” Elder Master Xun nodded.

Xun Ziyou paused for a moment, a question lingering in his mind, but after much hesitation, he didn’t voice it.

Fifth grade Void Formation...

He didn’t ask, and Elder Master Xun didn’t mention it.

It seemed everyone had forgotten.

But Xun Ziyou knew clearly in his heart, this was the most crucial point. However, this level, involving the fifth grade array and Heaven Void powers, was not something he could inquire about, much less touch upon.

Even if the Ancestor found something, it wouldn’t be said.

But Mo Hua...

”Ancestor,” Xun Ziyou began slowly, ”that child Mo Hua, is his path different from ordinary cultivators?”

Elder Master Xun maintained a calm expression, ”Different how?”

Xun Ziyou frowned, ”His Divine Sense seems much stronger than cultivators of the same realm, and he can even use Divine Thought to invade certain objects of visualization, he seems very familiar with the esoteric paths of evil spirits as well...”

”These wouldn’t be something you taught him, right?”

Xun Ziyou looked somewhat solemn, ”What exactly is this child’s background? Where did he get this inheritance?”

Elder Master Xun evaded the question, only saying:

”You need not ask much, it’s enough to know in your heart, and don’t mention it to others.”

”Ancestor...” Xun Ziyou was somewhat puzzled.

Elder Master Xun said profoundly, ”If you don’t ask, you won’t know, and if you don’t know, there’s no karma.”

”Sometimes, no karma is ’good karma’...”

Xun Ziyou stood still, then nodded solemnly.

Elder Master Xun waved his hand, ”Go about your business.”

”Yes.” Xun Ziyou saluted, ”I take my leave, Ancestor.”

After Xun Ziyou left, Elder Master Xun remained silent.

Some things about Mo Hua, he was aware of, but he never questioned.

The person surnamed Zhuang approached the Heavenly secret Calculation mastery.

Before dying, he must have done something to the child, using the heavenly secret mist to obscure some significant karma.

The secrets on Mo Hua, as long as he remains silent, are safe.

But once spoken, even if told to himself, it might no longer be safe...

Elder Master Xun’s gaze was profound, and he sighed slowly.

...

The night was deep.

In a secret chamber of a grand hall.

Mr. Tu was ”undergoing a punishment.”

The Valley of Ten Thousand Demons was eradicated, and over the years, the cultivated monster cultivators were almost completely wiped out, and the bred demon wraiths were devoured entirely.
