The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 279: Holy Goddess Aleoria!!!

I looked at the rest in case I had heard more, and sure enough, Alice had a look on her face that I couldn’t believe.

It seemed that, although she did get it right about the relationship between Astrid and Cordelia, just as I couldn’t believe what Astrid was saying, Elena had a ”I didn’t expect that” expression, something rare for her.

Eira was like with a ”Are you serious?” face and even Selene seemed to have a thoughtful face about the situation that or she was just thinking about what are we going to eat next?.

It seems that I hadn’t misheard, but also that I wasn’t the problem, at least I thought it wasn’t me, being dense.

Cordelia’s hatred of me was not a one-sided misunderstanding on my part.

I mean, both they and I saw Cordelia’s behavior towards me and, were it not for the fact that I handled everything perfectly, that it never came to anything, as I was always one step ahead and waiting for what would happen.

Not only that, clearly what existed between Cordelia and all the memories of my alternate self were pure and hard hatred towards me, and it did not improve at all becoming more and more malicious and out of control, I don’t know what she exact did .

But it earned a spot on my Elimination list, which my damned alternate self never made clear to me the exact motive.

That she was in love with me and didn’t know how to express herself correctly is something I had already thought about, but dismissed because of all the evidence, it was silly to cling to something so silly and improbable and the girls in my harem agreed with me.

As much as I think about it, it was none other than Astrid who seemed to have lost her sanity a bit because of my previous statement.

”Lucis Mentis Claritas.”

”Honey, you just cast a mental clarity spell on me, what are you trying to tell me?”

”Humm, nothing, but what did you say earlier about Cordelia?”

”Honey, don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking, and like I said, she’s in love with you and, as her mother supported her love...no, rather, what did I do? Me to my daughter, this isn’t right, this is wrong...or is it?”

Well, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong, I put a lot of blessing in that spell although I don’t understand that contradiction at the end.

’No, this is not the time to think about Cordelia.’

I had gotten off topic but the important thing here right now is Astrid. I’m going to put that aside, I want to know about our relationship. Astrid is the most important thing to me right now.

”Okay, Astrid, I understand that, but Cordelia aside, I want to know what you think of me, everything I am and my secrets.”

”....”

”Let’s fix Cordelia later, tell me how you feel and your response to what I told you.”

”.... You see, honey, the truth is I knew you were holding something big back, and when you told me yesterday that you had something important to tell me, I was ready.”

”....”

”We all have secrets, so I didn’t want to pressure you and I was ready to accept whatever you would say when the time came.”

”So...”

”Still, it’s too much of a shock, honey. I thought you’d tell me you were using your ability to be more handsome than you are or that you were an illegitimate child of House Silvercrest .”

”Oh, she understands me.” (Eira)

”....”

”This is shocking, from what I thought and I’m a little confused, I guess I have nothing against you being a woman, but now also my daughter...this is all complicated to me, honey, I don’t know what’s right, let me fix my thoughts a little.”

”I understand.”

So we all in the room were silent, and each was thinking about the other’s revelation.

For my part I also need to analyze things well, see if I understand: Cordelia is Astrid’s daughter and is in love or likes Seraphina.

Okay, now, the main thing: how to explain to Astrid that I had a misunderstanding.

I mean, that woman is not in love with me, there is no doubt that she hates me, the misunderstanding is obviously hers.

’No, let’s give her the benefit of the doubt.’

’What doubt? ’There is no doubt, Astrid is misunderstanding her daughter.’

’You know, in fact, it’s already puzzling that Cordelia is her daughter, they reapplied it to us, next time let’s clear things up from the beginning.’

’humm it’s true we had thought with that woman that.... shit because her daughter’s information is unknown,’...’

’come on, a third time would be ridiculous, no rather with Cordelia we didn’t get anywhere, so technically it wouldn’t be a repeat of anything...’

’we just have to be careful who we mess with from now on...we almost blew it, with Astrid, by almost messing with her daughter’...’

’but we’re not safe yet, it looks like she may reject us, because of Cordelia.’

’And we don’t know if what she says is true.’

’You know As crazy as it sounds, it better be, because if Cordelia hates us, then Astrid...’

’Damn it, it’s crazy, we have to confirm it.’

’I do.’

’But we can’t do something extreme, it’s Astrid’s daughter and a possible love interest.’

’Hey, rule out that last one, we were almost giving up on her anyway, it’s time to let it go. This is the sign, besides, I don’t think Astrid wants us to.... Lily’s already the odd one out.’

’What if Cordelia really likes us? Things won’t end up like this.’

’No matter how you look at it, it’s a misunderstanding. No, wait, so, is it good or bad that they like us?’

’I don’t know.’

’Me neither.’

’I think it would be perfect, as long as he doesn’t hate us.’

’We need to complete this puzzle.’

’It must be a misunderstanding. I’m not someone dense like William. I don’t think he doesn’t understand when a girl likes me.’

’What about Eira?’

’...That doesn’t count...or does it, dammit because there’s no one normal’

’...’

’Shit, number one, go find out the truth. Don’t hurt her and do what you think you need to do.’’

’You don’t have to tell me.’

No, rather, Eira was more the type who didn’t even understand that she was in love with me, so I can’t be blamed.

But it did set a precedent, so I had to confirm it. i sent my doppelgänger to confirm it. He used morphogenesis, transformed into me and went to check something.

And I needed even more reassurance, so I approached the girls and started a meeting, since Astrid was still pensive.

”Girls, emergency meeting. Today’s topic: Cordelia Argen. You guys heard too, I want your opinion...”

”I, Chris...”

”Go ahead, Alice.”

”I think what big sister Astrid says is correct.”

”Why do you think that, Alice?”

”If we think that, she just being clumsy in revealing her feelings.”

”Hey, that’s not just being clumsy...”

”It’s true.”

Eira, incredulous, answered her And I agree with Eira, that was already a conversation, to which we had come to the resolution ’there’s no way she’s not doing it on purpose’ruling out her clumsiness.

In fact, Alice herself, had been was a the main one convinced that Cordelia hated me, I don’t know why she now supports her.

”What if maybe we’ve been misunderstanding her all this time?”

”Explain yourself, Elena, in what way?”

”...”

”Elena?”

”I’m sorry, I can’t think of anything.”

”I understand what you’re thinking, since she tends to act so weird and dissonant I might be open to thinking there might be a misunderstanding... but it’s hard to find anything to back it up.”.

”I...”

”Huh? Yes, go ahead, Selene.”

I was surprised that Selene wanted to jump into the conversation, so I listened.

”She’s not a bad person....”

”Huh, really? Even after everything she tried to do to me the last few months?”

After that encounter, Cordelia started harassing Seraphina, which I avoided by all means, since, well, I was strong .

Not to mention that she had a mole in her ranks which was myself. In fact, that’s why Alice, who is more likely to do so has never really been angry with Cordelia.

Although Alice notices that I don’t seem to get along with her when I’m Seraphina and her tries to intimidate me, she lets it go since no real harm has been done so far and I get along with her when I’m Chris, which I bring up in our meetings to appease her.

Now Selene even came to her defense, which is rare. She herself has seen accidents happen, like what happened in the dining room, that she purposely tried to dump a bowl of hot soup on me, even though obviously the waiters could have taken it to the table and she shouldn’t have been walking around with the bowl of soup.

Whenever she has tried something with Seraphina, I have always thwarted it. She herself looked frustrated, as if her plan had failed, and then she would return to her impassive face, give me a threatening look and finally walk away.

maybe in my alternate self if it affected her because she was weaker and couldn’t defend herself, but I just see it as childish actions or as the actions of a second rate villain, this has happened in different scenarios, more than once.

It’s not that I didn’t try to see his intentions, but whenever I did it was like a block of iron with no intentions.

So I thought, because of her blessing, I couldn’t feel anything and gave up trying, but I also never tried when Seraphina was around.

Maybe Selene picked up on something I didn’t. I looked at Eira just in case.

’No, wait. She’s the one who couldn’t tell the difference between love and hate a few weeks ago, it’s useless.’

”Haaah~”

”Why are you sighing when you look at me, are you not interested in my opinion?”

”Well, you also said it’s too much to be just clumsiness, didn’t you?”

”Yes, but it’s also true what Selene says. I never sensed a particularly malicious intent.”

”Not even that time we found her stealing my clothes so she couldn’t take physical classes?”

”No, not really. Rather, she seemed nervous, but as soon as her face went flat I stopped sensing anything. Humm..., she’s weird.”

”yes, she is”

”This.... Honey, you know I’m here, right? They’re not using soundproofing. I don’t know how to feel about hearing you talk about my daughter like that.”

”Well, we’re not talking bad about her, we’re objective. And as you heard, we seem to be getting somewhere. Selene likes her, that’s a great point.”

”Was there really a misunderstanding like that? So the advice I gave her about love wasn’t helpful /_ \...”

”What, really, Cordelia, she asked you for advice?...rather then, what did you tell her?”

”You know, I had my pride as a mother and, well...you know, with my husband it’s not a good example and you’re the only one...besides, the novels...so...”

”...Haaa~ I don’t know who’s wrong here...but I think it’s the one who wanted Bella to stay with twelve guys.”

”Honey!!!, I thought we had settled the issue.”

”...I read the last Chapter in secret today and.... and it ended in harem. ( ╯︿╰) ”

”How could you! You promised we’d read it together, I waited for you.... Still, I was right: love triumphed.”

”Damn it, don’t look so proud, I’ll find the bastard who wrote that and made my Bella end up like this and.... No, wait- ..”

Something seems to have happened to my Doppelganger. I’m feeling strong emotions, so I was going to take a quick look at what he was doing.

I shouldn’t have done it, it was definitely a mistake, and a bad moment, or rather, I should never ever have witnessed what my Doppelganger saw...

’Holy goddess Aleoria!!!, it’s true! No, more than that, what I’m seeing, this is... it’s...’

I fainted.
