The Martial Unity

Chapter 3365: The Roar of Ambition

”He lives, my liege.”

A bestial, yet feminine snarl echoed within a cave.

A giant cave laced with precious stones of all manner.

Rubies, sapphires, and even diamonds studded the entirety of the expansive walls and ceiling of the cave, twinkling with the dim sunlight that entered the depths of the otherwise dark cave deep within the mountains.

At its very epicenter was a mighty creature.

His body spanned a hundred meters in its whole length.

It was laced with red scales.

Each red scale was made up of a silvery-bronze metal with a special glow.

An isotope of invintium that was even more invincible than the material, requiring great energies to remain stable.

The very fabric of reality visibly curved around him like that of a black hole’s lensing effect from the sheer amount of mass that was contained within his body.

Each motion the mighty creature made sent ripples across the very fabric of reality.

Even the deep, composed breathing seemed to strain space and time itself, let alone a flap from its mighty red, reptilian wings or a swipe from its massive claws, or a swing from its large, powerful tail.

Such was the power of the Dragon Emperor Shenlong.

The mighty creature opened his eyes, beholding the female servant who had bowed before him, her dragonic head pressed to the ground before him.

Shivers ran down her spine as she felt his attention converge on him.

”We have received confirmation that the False Sovereign has survived the ambush from the light elves and successfully returned to West Genora.”

The mighty creature simply stared at her with its yellow reptilian eyes before an eerie smile cracked at the edge of its mouth.

”He lives.”

The voice of the dragon was bestial.

Like that of a deep roar, something that was channeled into speaking words.

A profoundly incredible aggression lingered in its depths.

As did deep intelligence.

It was not a mindless beast.

Dragons were intelligent and even wise creatures, and with the intelligence of man integrated into it, they were even more capable than anybody might have expected.

His attention returned to the female servant before him.

”Where does he go?”

His voice did not merely reach her ears.

They invaded her heart.

Her mind and soul.

She could not defy the Authority of Alpha.

”He comes here, Lord Shenlong.”

The eerie, chilling yellow reptilian eyes of the Dragon Emperor dilated with pleasure.

”Then let him come.”

His voice echoed across the crystalline cave.

”I will consume him and assimilate his Authority.”

His voice quivered with power and greed.

In Kiriket, it was believed that the Authority of Alpha came about by assimilating the authority of those who possessed authority.

If a leader of a clan consumed another leader, he would gain authority.

He would be recognized as a larger number of therianthropes as the higher authority.

It was believed that one of the necessary conditions needed to achieve Authority of Alpha was to consume enough beasts with enough authority and become their leader, and it was exactly how he achieved Authority of Alpha, becoming the most dominant force on the continent.

That was why, while every other therianthrope had been horrified to learn of an outsider gaining Authority of Alpha, the Dragon Emperor had been extremely excited. There existed an individual in the Lost Continent who was so dominant that he had managed to become the King of all Beasts on the continent.

The very thought of it boiled the blood of Shenlong.

”Finally, a worthy adversary.”

His yellow eyes flared with boundless power. ”My Authority will grow when I consume his. I will become the Emperor of two continents.”

He would become the most powerful force in the entire world.

Or rather, the second-most powerful force.

”Once I consume the exotic treasures of the Lost Continent... I will surpass even you.”

The female servant kneeling before him didn’t understand.

She couldn’t.

His gaze had long moved past.

His pupils dilated to the maximum as his extraordinary vision allowed him to see hundreds of thousands of kilometers away.

Deep into the Great Nam Ocean.

A giant serpent with the power to wipe out all life.

With the power to destroy the entire planet.

Within the depths of the Great Nam Ocean, Jormungandr opened his eyes, shifting them towards Kiriket as he met the Dragon Emperor’s eyes.

Out of all the entities that had detected him, Shenlong had been the first one to display such open hostility.

”I admit you are stronger for now

.”
Shenlong’s words reached Jormungandr despite the unimaginable distance between them.

”But that is only because you are body is laden with treasures of unimaginable power.”

Their reptilian eyes remained fixed on each other.

”Once I harness those same treasures, I will gain the power to consume you and become the Emperor of two continents and of the oceans.”

This was Shenlong’s ultimate ambition.

And it all began with Rui Quarrier and the Lost Continent.

The power of esoterics and the exotic life on the Lost Continent excited him to no end. He saw infinite potential in the treasure that the continent held within its depths. He looked forward to harnessing their power and becoming the ultimate lifeform in all of existence.

He foresaw a future where he ruled over all life on Gaia after gaining the power.

”I will finally bring that insolent female to her knees.”

Ecclestia.

Shenlong knew that he wasn’t the strongest entity in existence, but the fact that Jormungandr was male ameliorated his dragonic pride.

The fact that a mere female was ranked above him rankled him to no end.

His eyes smoldered with power as he got up.

RUMBLE

The very gesture began shaking Kiriket.

And then, he took flight.

RUMBLE!!!

He soared out of his crystal cave, flying out high into the bright skies before unleashing a roar of unfathomable proportions.

”ROOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as Shenlong roared with unimaginable power, exerting his authority over the entire continent as all life bowed to the Dragon Emperor in fear and awe.
