The Martial Unity

Rui and Amare shook where they stood with unadulterated shock as the sheer weight of this revelation threatened to crush them!

Their jaws dropped as their piercing gazes converged on the naked body of the unconscious woman floating about suspended in the transparent liquid.

One moment, Rui couldn’t understand what the hype was all about a regular peak Master.

The very next, however, he couldn’t help but feel he was gazing at a treasure that could alter the destiny of human civilization.

“…This,” Rui whispered with tremendous shock. “How is this possible? Are you seriously telling me that this woman can give birth to evolved human beings?!”

“I would not make such a fuss had I been jesting, dear Dawnbringer,” the Blood Lord remarked, shaking his head. “Every word that I have uttered is the truth and nothing but the truth. The Blood Goddess is indeed capable of copulating with a male, and conceiving and birthing a genuine evolved human being.”

Rui froze as his mind surged into overdrive mode as a maelstrom of thoughts and emotions raged on within. “This…” A profound whisper escaped him. “…This changes everything.”

With a Martial female capable of conceiving an evolved human being that inherits her evolved genes, the limits of human civilization had just been raised to very sky. With her, it was possible to evolve all of humanity to a new frontier of physicality and ability!

As long as her human-compatible genes spread across all of human civilization, the fundamental power of the human species would reach unfathomable and astronomical heights. The future generations of human civilization would be born with superhuman power. Even if their Martial Bodies weren’t as strong as the Blood Goddess herself due to the dilution of her genes in the gene pool, it would still lead to future generations of human beings being fundamentally as strong as the low-grade Martial Apprentices as adults.

This would exponentially spike the base power of human civilization. He hadn’t even considered the impacts of this on future generations of Martial Artists with her blood running through their veins. “It might very well upgrade all future Martial Artists an entire Realm up…!”

It would mean future Martial Apprentices would be as strong as present Martial Squires. Future Squires would be as strong as present Seniors. Future Seniors would be as strong as present Martial Masters and so on and so forth.

“In the best case scenario, this overwhelming power that the human civilization might get could potentially crush the Beast Incursion.”

The possibilities were endless.

Unfortunately, as he thought about all the pros, he couldn’t help but also consider some of the difficulties in realizing the idealized turn of events that he had plotted in his head.

“…Spreading the genes of this woman to an entire generation of human beings is extremely difficult at best,” he murmured to himself. “And impossible to do within a reasonable timeframe.”

For one, there were only so many children that she could bear, and each pregnancy took nine months. Simply trying to make these children the conduit of her evolved blood could end up being extremely dangerous and could potentially lead to mass inbreeding across much of human civilization. It could end up sabotaging all of human civilization rather than evolving them, causing an epidemic of genetic defects that would ruin the entire species.

He calmed down, regaining his composure as he realized that the risks were hefty, causing him to be wary of any plan of rapidly spreading her blood across human civilization. The more rapid an attempt to spread her blood across humanity was, the greater the risks there were. If one went absolutely all out and tried ensuring that a large percentage of human civilization’s next generations were a descendent of the Blood Goddess, then it could end up meaning that future generations of human beings would simply be unable to breed without causing genetic defects, leading to the species becoming collectively infertile.

This was the worst possible outcome.

“This needs to be handled extremely, extremely carefully…” Rui realized. “Any rash spreading of her blood across human civilization could lead to untold catastrophes.”

The Blood Lord nodded with a hint of approval. “So you have already grasped the risks and the gravity of the situation. Your conclusion is correct. That is why we have yet to implement any plans regarding her blood. For now, we are simply waiting and making preparations for an eventual implementation. We plan to coordinate with the Beggar’s Sect and all the powerhouses in the world when we decide that it is time to spread her blood across human civilization.”

Rui nodded. “That is a good idea. The Beggar’s Sect is perhaps the only organization in the entire world that is equipped to ensure that mass inbreeding does not happen. Their help will be absolutely vital.”

Additionally, it was in line with the Beggar Sage’s agenda of empowering human civilization, but especially baseline humanity. His power came from normal humans, and the stronger they were, the stronger he became.

“And so, that brings us to that favor I had of you.”

Blood Lord Vrukshus smiled knowingly.

“We require your seed.”

Chills crawled across Rui’s skin as an aghast expression emerged on Amare’s face.

“You see…” the Blood Lord continued. “Because there are a limited number of pregnancies that the Blood Goddess can undergo in her entire lifetime, we have no choice but to be extraordinarily picky and careful with the males she copulates with. Each pregnancy she undergoes is a priceless treasure. We cannot waste them with unremarkable seed. We seek only the most extraordinary of specimens whose blood is worth being spread across humanity and whose seed will not diminish her godly blood.”

He gazed at Rui with a pointed gaze.

For a moment, Rui was simply frozen.

“Wait…” he turned towards the unconscious Blood Goddess. “You want me to—”

“Yes.” The Blood Lord cut him off with a calm tone. “Right here. Right now.”

A small grin cracked at the edge of his mouth.

“I will have you copulate with our goddess. That is the price of using the bloodwhirler species. What do you say? It’s a win-win-win, wouldn’t you agree?”
