The Great Thief

Lu Li was fighting against the enemies of Glory Capital in Grey Valley stronghold. He felt relieved as he watched his opponent’s line-up.

It wasn’t to say that the people facing him wasn’t strong, but rather too strong.

Nearly more than half of the people were professionals. Even those who had gone into hiding and retired such as the Green Training Camp instructor, Master Huang, had appeared. This meant that Glory Capital definitely wanted to use their full power for the Grey Valley stronghold as he expected.

Lu Li had studied Sorrowless’s way of thinking very thoroughly.

They took a stronghold here and then a stronghold there – the whole of Grey Valley nearly belonged to Glory Capital.

Lu Li encouraged Grand Hegemony to fight the Grey Valley stronghold and used his Golden Finger. The Golden Finger could be used more than once. Both Grand Hegemony and Lu Li could use it, and he invited a lot of backup.

Wood Fearing and Unforgettable Maple brought their club’s players. Last time, they helped Azure Guard take Stranglethorn Vale from Glory Capital. This time, Glory Capital was mainly directing their focus on Ruling Sword, so there was no more need to ask the two of them for help with Azure Guard.

Sea Breaker, Fallen Morals, Mini Meow, Lone Smoker Long were all from Purple Lunar Paradise.

They had never had their own stronghold. This time Lu Li invited them, and they accepted without much thought since it was nice to learn by tagging along.

Vincent, Twilight, Jumanji, Egg Cow, Hit Me 72 Times and Purple Heart Sea were all from Stellar Union.

They agreed even more straightforwardly. There were not many big clubs in the Horde. Gale Legion was the subordinate of Glory Capital, and now Eternal Kingdom was also on their side.

All in all, the 20 strong reinforcements allowed Ruling Sword’s defence power to increase immensely. After all, the ones invited were pretty much players and a few were celebrity player levelled.

It wasn’t that Lu Li didn’t want to invite more people, but rather this needed to be kept secret. The more clubs contacted, the more easily that the message would leak out. If Glory Capital knew then it would lose compromise their plans. So, Lu Li only contacted one suitable club that definitely wouldn’t backstab them.

Unforgettable Maple and Wood Fearing helped Azure Huard steal Glory Capital’s Stranglethorn Vale last time. They had already offended them, so they naturally won’t go looking for Glory Capital for cooperation.

Purple Lunar Paradise and Glory capital were old enemies who had fought for decades that passed down from generation to generation.

As for Stellar Union, they were beaten like dogs by Glory Capital. They couldn’t wait for Glory Capital to be stopped in their tracks. If they could plot against Glory Capital, they would do it without payment. However, inviting these 20 or so people was definitely a huge expense.

But he was called Shameless Lu for a reason. Even if he did just win a large sum of money from the Shadow Cup, he was still stingy. He not only didn’t pay them but he also made a small profit from these four clubs.

As long as they held on to the stronghold, Lu Li would allow these clubs or individuals to buy a shop front for a cheap price in the stronghold.

This temptation was much more attractive than ordinary gold coins, especially for clubs without strongholds. Business in other people’s clubs was still business.

It could be said that Lu Li didn’t use any effort in inviting these 20 or so strong warriors. Regardless, he was still going to sell the shopfronts. It wouldn’t hurt to sell it at a cheaper price.

While Sorrowless watched these people behind Lu Li, his face wasn’t so happy anymore. Unforgettable Maple, Wood Fearing, and the people they brought, plus Stellar Union and Purple Moon Paradise gave him a feeling of having made enemies all over the world.

Did these people have nothing else to do?! Why have they all gone to help Lu Li?!

But he wasn’t stupid either. He knew some things of these power and monetary exchange within this.

He wasn’t happy because the intel gathered on their side was really poor. The last time they found out the attributes of Lu Li’s equipment without trying. This time, Lu Li received so many reinforcements out of nowhere.

However, Lu Li found that Sorrowless’s expressions quickly changed to another. He couldn’t explain his expression.

Following his opponent’s eyes, Lu Li found that Sorrowless was looking at Darkness. Who would have thought that Sorrowless was still infatuated with someone he killed decisively?

Sorrowless was indeed looking at Darkness. At this time, she was dressed in full armour, and most of her small face was covered by a mask. However, Sorrowless could still recognise her in a crowd with one glance as the girl who took his heart.

It didn’t matter whether she wasn’t by his side. Once she left, he finally knew what he cared most about.

Lu Li expressed that he was innocent, he never thought about using Darkness to provoke Sorrowless. However, Darkness as the club’s number one Tanky Healer was an irreplaceable role in protecting the stronghold. After observing each other, the two sides begun their battle.

Glory Capital was strong and powerful but Ruling sword had invited a lot of reinforcements. Glory Capital was still a bit stronger on comprehensive strength, but this was a defensive battle. Being on the defending side had its natural advantages.

Hence, the battle fell into a state of impasse the moment it began.

Compared with the stronghold battles between ordinary clubs, the casualties here were far more severe. Even Unforgettable Maple died once.

“Oi Lu! I dropped an equipment, Epic one, you got to make up for my loss!” he yelled as he unleashed his skills. But attracted so much attention that another wave of attack came straight at him. He luckily retreated in time, so he wasn’t one-shotted.

Lu Li didn’t participate in the command of the stronghold, only Sky Moon was in charge.

He and Wood Fearing jumped to the bottom of the city wall. Their goal was to assassinate the healers of Glory Capital. It wasn’t unusual for two powerful thieves to cooperate with each other. He and Water Fairy had done so numerous times, but it was the first time with Wood Fearing.

In the past he had fought hand to hand with Wood Fearing and was impressed by his skill and will power. It was the first time they’ve fought side by side.

Lu Li felt his temporary partner’s growth in power. He was someone reborn, so he didn’t need to adapt to the game like other people did. However, Wood Fearing needed to get used to Dawn’s game operation model bit by bit, so his growth was rather obvious.

If he fought Wood Fearing now, Lu Li wouldn’t have the complete confidence of being able to kill him.

The two thieves didn’t aim for White Westhill – that priest was honestly too hard to kill. It was also why Ruling Sword had chosen to kill Sorrowless during the championship.

The priest targeted by them had no time to call for help and turned into a while light straight away.

A piece of equipment dropped and was taken by Wood Fearing then thrown into his bag.

This speed made Lu Li admire him even more. When it came to the speed of snatching equipment, he had never admired anyone else before.

Now, he found that Wood Fearing was even better than him in this aspect. Indeed, he was a veteran of gaming.
