The Golem Mage

Chapter 411 411: A Bloody Night (2).

Alecʼs entrance into the temple had been swift and direct, as he moved devoid of any hesitation or consideration for stealth tactics on the Evil sect.

Charging through the front doors, he was met with the sight of over two hundred mages scattered throughout the premises of the temple.

Although the Priest remained unseen, but Alec was certain that the him and the other top-ranking members of the Evil sect were likely within the temple.

”Spread out and eliminate all those who bear the Evil sect insignia – show no mercy, for they are enemies of great consequence,” Alec commanded them as the mages started dashing for them, as he swiftly unsheathed his Changdao and clashed with a towering Mage that was closest to him and wielding a massive great sword.

In a deft move, Alec flicked his hand conjured earth shards that moved to blind the mage eyes, before swiftly changing the direction of his Changdao, and thrusting it down his heart.

Surveying the chaotic scene before him, he observed his golems locked in fierce battles with their minions summon supporting them.

As the clashes unfolded, some of his main golems fought from the front lines, while others flanked from behind, allowing the minions to engage in the primary combat.

The mages in the templeʼs front courtyard mostly consisted of Tier 1 and Tier 2 mages, with the Tier 3 deacons and the Priest situated within the temple, so Alec was sure his golems could still take care if it.

As despite the evil sectʼs numerical superiority, Alecʼs golems proved to be a formidable challenge, causing the sectʼs forces to struggle in their attempts to overcome the relentless onslaught.

Titan was one of the few who took up a leadership role at the forefront of the battle, as he was facing a coordinated assault from three mages.

And despite conjuring an ice shield that initially held off the attack, the shield eventually cracked and crumbled under the relentless assault.

Adapting swiftly, Titan conjured two ice maces, as he moved in fast to strike down two of his adversaries with quick and forceful blows, killing them in the process, while the last one took the opportunity to escape.

Titan movements were fluid as he maintained a defensive posture even in an attacking state, creating opportunities for himself in the chaotic battlefield, as he was sensing a growing threat in his surroundings.

Turning to assess the situation, Titan noticed two of his lesser ice golem minions stomping their feet and summoning a massive ice wall that thwarted an incoming attack targeted at him.

Meanwhile, the remaining three Ice golems continued to hold their grounds, protecting his blind spot and proving to be formidable as they were all in Tier 2 realm.

Despite Titanʼs summons being the strongest of all the minions, it was the combined might of Oni, Hive Queen, and Tempest Butcher, along with their minions, that wreaked havoc and chaos in the midst of battle.

Oni and Hive Queen strategically led their minions from the rear, leveraging teamwork and coordination to overwhelm their foes.

Among Oniʼs minions were five powerful fighters, with four red oni armed with large clubs and one blue oni wielding a blade, showcasing diverse fighting styles and techniques that intrigued even Alec that was observing the battle.

The most interesting part was when Alec discovered that the blue oni could cast spells unlike the red on is that were just brutes, and with the help of ten spider golem babies sucking the Mana from their victims and some exploding to release pressure on the Onis from time to time.

They were able to kill many mages while the Hive Queen focused on commanding her children and giving birth to new ones to replace the fallen ones.

With so many mages in one place, it seemed the Hive Queen wouldnʼt run out of Mana anytime soon.

But even after they left a trail of destruction, it appeared that their minions were about to be surrounded and isolated from them.

”Are you still going to watch?” the Hive Queen asked Oni, whose demonic mask bore a wicked smile.

”Yeah, I suppose I have to stop being lazy now,” Oni replied, stretching his hands forward to draw the souls of the dead his summons have killed towards him, causing them to levitate and emit a terrifying sound.

This only seemed to amuse the oni, who cackled with joy, witnessing this, some members of the evil sect charged towards him wearing bronze masks.

”For the Sect, to eternal life!”

They shouted as they rushed towards Oni and the Hive Queen, as they have finally been able to do this because they have isolated the Minions that made sure no one got close to them.

”If you all thought all I like to do is summon my minions to do my dirty work while I stay out of danger, then prepare to be disappointed,” Oniʼs deep voice resonated as he absorbed the harvested souls into the staff he held.”

The staff appeared similar to a traditional staff but it wasnʼt , as it had a slight curve in the middle.

The moment the captured soul made contact with it, the staff began to sizzle, revealing its true form, The blade at the top extended, revealing a long sky-blue hue tainted with black long blade, while the handle remained black.

With his scythe prominently displayed, Oni wielded it with all six of his hands, executing a spin attack and sending a crescent moon slash towards the approaching mages.

As the slash cut through their waists, splitting their bodies in two, Oni couldnʼt help but chuckle in delight.

”I donʼt leave my dirty work to my minions,” Oni remarked to the death mages as he was absorbing their soul too.

”You were all too much of a bother, so Iʼll allow my ʼbabiesʼ to use you all level up and compete with Titanʼs minions, Donʼt overestimate yourselves.”

Oni nonchalantly hung his scythe around his neck, showing no inclination to lead his minions.

In contrast, Butcher displayed a different mind set as he took charge of his five storm elementals, plunging the battlefield into chaos with their lightning attacks from his summons.

And with the elemental presence around, Butcher seemed to be provide with inexhaustible energy to draw from.

Engulfed in satisfaction, Butcherʼs maniacal nature drove him to split his Battle axe into two as he dive into the midst of the mages, creating a scene of pure massacre as each mage fell with a single fatal blow to the neck, ushering them into the afterlife.

Amid the chaos, a lone mage attempted to approach Butcher. Swiftly dodging the attack, Butcher swiftly hacked him with his lightning-imbued axe, inflicting fatal blows to the mageʼs rib and skull with each of the axe before kicking him back, causing blood to spurt uncontrollably.

Tempest Butcher moved through the battle like a wolf among sheep, unstoppable and relentless, hacking like a Chinese gangster in the old days.

And with the presence of Legion, Magnito, and Sword Saint, the massacre continued with efficiency as the golem never showed expression of pain or true empathy for their enemies.

Observing the carnage, Alec realized his presence was no longer necessary there, he knew he needed to reach the higher-ranking members of the evil sect before they escaped from the temple.

”Magnito, Sword Saint, help me break through this crowd to reach the temple, The rest of you, hold the line until I return,” Alec instructed, receiving nods of agreement from his Golems.

Alec had silenced his system, after being overwhelmed by the flurry of notifications and he also noticed the continuously rising of achievement points but just chose to ignore it.

In that moment, his primary focus had shifted to eliminating the leaders of the Evil sect, as he knew that it was crucial to uproot their operations in the region.

Alec understood that simply targeting their enforcers would only result in the sect finding replacements easily, or just using the slave markets to make up for the numbers they lost.

But he felt by striking at the higher-ranking members, he would be able disrupt their ability to swiftly rebuild their forces and he would have completed his mission.

Gripping the Changdao tightly, he felt the weight of the weapon in his hands, as he was finally ready to confront the challenges.
