The Golem Mage

Chapter 284 ( No Title)

Alec never had the opportunity to attack after the last Mage Titan took care of.

Though Kethra had wanted the mages to split up again and cover more ground, but Astrid strongly disagreed.

Astrid was adamant about not letting any more of his mages get taken out.

The previous attacks taught him that not only was the group familiar with the terrain, but they were also skilled at escaping quickly and avoiding capture, keeping their element of surprise intact.

Astrid had a bad feeling that if he spread out his mages again, it would only result in more casualties.

The Barrier Mage was already injured, and it was evident that it would require a significant amount of healing resources to bring him back to full health.

Fortunately, Kethra had provided them with some resources, so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue for the barrier Mage to recover fully.

However, many mages preferred to heal naturally rather than using resources to expedite the process.

They also wanted to take the opportunity to cultivate their skills, so it was doubtful if the Barrier Mage and the other Mage that was still frozen would decide to use the resources to heal themselves faster.

Although Astrid’s group was a high-level one, he didn’t provide them with much.

They only shared whatever they hunted during their expeditions and saved up to purchase elixirs when they accumulated enough earnings.

Nonetheless, their group was still better off compared to others who risked their lives without any guarantee of earning anything in the Abyss Realm.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Terran had already entered the Abyss Realm through the space passage.

The Centaur awaited him outside the gate.

seven was cautious as revealing himself to any high-ranking Orc member inside the Abyss Realm could jeopardize his cover and expose the fact that he wasn’t a Tier 9 born Royal Centaur, that he was playing, to be when he sent the Minotaur back.

He wasn’t prepared for such a situation, so he blessed Terran and allowed him to proceed on his own.

Luckily, Terran had obtained the location of where his disciples were heading from the short man at the counter of the Armory.

He thanked the man profusely before dashing straight towards the Orcish forest.

The more he thought about what Igor had done, the stronger his desire grew to tear him apart when the opportunity arose itself in future.

Terran wasted no time, flying towards the Orcish forest.

The mages who witnessed Terran storming out of the city gates in anger were taken aback.

It had been a while since he had entered this particular space passage, as he had previously been chased by many high-tier 8 Orcs.

Terran had always avoided the space passage like a plague because he had too many enemies who were keen on eliminating him, due to the amount of Orcs he had killed.

However, today, due to his disciples, he threw caution to the wind and rushed into the Orcish forest alone to save them.

As he flew towards the Orcish forest, Terran spotted Arthur and the rest running out of the forest with tear-stained faces, being chased by countless Orcs.

Seeing Arthur in the midst of the chaos reminded Terran of his own experiences when he was being pursued by high-tier 8 Orcs.

He felt relieved to finally find his disciples, but upon closer inspection, he realized that Alec was not among them.

Terran swiftly waved his hand, causing numerous stone spears to emerge from the ground and impale most of the Orcs, leading to their pitiful demise.

The Orcs had been chasing them due to the scent of wolf and Orc energy emanating from them as those were the creatures they had hunted.

The presence of this lingering energy had driven the Orc squad that had spotted them into a frenzy.

Unlike the smaller Orc squad they had encountered when they first entered the Orcish forest, this new squad was larger and posed a greater threat.

It was apparent that they were outnumbered and at a disadvantage.

When the group saw the stone spears decimating most of the Orcs behind them, they couldn’t contain their joy.

”Master!!! Master is back! We are saved!” they exclaimed in relief.

Arthur’s voice echoed through the air as he spotted the silhouette of Terran approaching them.

James, however, couldn’t determine which instructor they belonged to.

Despite the uncertainty, he felt an overwhelming sense of relief.

That Finally, someone capable of saving them had arrived.

They were still about five hundred meters away from the city gates, and there was no hope of receiving aid from the city archers until they reached the range of a hundred meters. Stay connected via NovelFire.Côm

James doubted they would be able to make it without any casualties.

Never in his plans did he anticipate such a large squad of Orcs invading the outer region during the blood moon time.

Most of the powerful squads preferred to hunt in the middle region, and it was during the blood moon that they often volunteered for war, knowing it would make them stronger.

The Orc race was unlike any other, They possessed an insatiable desire for war.

However, it was the Orc commanders who held the authority to decide who would participate in the Blood Moon war and who would remain behind.

They never allowed their younglings to participate in the blood moon battles, with the exception of Tier 3 Orcs, who were among the strongest warriors.

”Master, we are saved!” Arthur exclaimed dramatically, throwing himself onto his master’s body with hopeful eyes.

A loud thud interrupted the moment as Terran slightly sidestepped, causing Arthur to land flat on the ground, missing his intended target.

Terran’s face immediately displayed concern as he asked Agnes, ”Where is Alec?”

Agnes, filled with gratitude at Terran’s arrival, quickly explained the situation.

”Thank God you’re here, Master Terran, Alec is still inside the Orcish forest, in the region where the plants grow back on their own, tuning the mana. He stayed behind to help us lose some mages who were chasing after us.”

Terran’s expression underwent a sudden change, leaving the gang under the impression that he feared for Alec’s safety due to the mages chasing them.

Reacting to the tension, Brandon stepped forward to speak.

”I don’t know the power level of those chasing us, Master, but I’m confident they won’t easily capture Alec. If you hurry inside, you might be able to save him and apprehend the culprits,” Brandon suggested, her voice filled with determination.

Terran shook his head, frustration evident in his tone.

”I don’t care about those foolish mages after him, Alec should never have entered that region. There’s a monster there that no one wants to provoke.”

He paused for a moment, his gaze shifting towards James.

”The creature may appear lazy and disinterested, but when provoked to the point of anger, it won’t hesitate to kill, That’s why the wolf hunting region was off-limits, The stories concocted by the academy were nothing but lies.”

Terran turned his attention back to the group, his voice filled with urgency. ”Ensure they reach the city and wait for me there. I’ll be back soon.”

With those final words entrusted to james , Terran dashed into the Orcish forest.

From the outside, it might seemed harmless, but only the older generation knew the hidden dangers that lurked within.

They were the ones who had created the maps used by the new generation, marking certain areas as red zones to protect students from potential loss of life, as they knew they were certain monsters who were overlords in the outer region they should never cross as it might spell disaster.
