The Golem Mage

601: Prime Battle 2 601: Prime Battle 2 As Alec swung his weapon, the blade burst into flames, with red and black flames swirling around the Changdao in a mesmerizing dance before completely engulfing the sword in a stunning dual blaze of black and red.

Meanwhile, Yama propelled himself off the ground, and with each rotation he conjured a whirl of mana around him.

But it was evident that the concentration of mana was strongest at his Naginata blade, which glowed with a radiant bluish light.

This luminous display showcased the immense concentration of raw mana energy infused within his weapon.

With a resounding bang, the two mages clashed their weapons once again, resulting in a shockwave that reverberated throughout the battle ring for an enduring two seconds.

Before the immense force of the impact compelled both Alec and Yama to recoil, as they swiftly retreated to different edges of the battleground.

While Yama executed an acrobatic summersault in mid-air, defying gravity to regain his balance, Alec, on the other hand, summoned long earth hands from beneath the ground, forcefully dragging himself back to the ground.

Frustration brewed within Yama as he marvelled at Alec’s seemingly limitless mana reserves.

He couldn’t fathom how Alec managed to keep up without displaying a hint of fatigue after fighting three mages simultaneously before him, he just felt something must be amiss.

‘ I can’t settle for another endurance match, I must bring this fight to a swift conclusion,’ Yama thought, determination blazing in his eyes.

In a split second, these thoughts raced through his mind, propelling him to dash forward again with unwavering determination.

Simultaneously, Alec surged towards Yama with incredible speed as they clashed in a flurry of movements all across the battle ring.

The audience stood in awe, jaws agape, witnessing the extraordinary collision of the intertwined black and red flames against Yama’s bluish light.

The rapid speed at which both mages maneuvered around the battle ring turned their figures into blurs of vibrant colours, observable even to lower-ranked mages.

Over time, a consensus formed among the onlookers that the bluish hue represented Yama, while the blend of red and black symbolized Alec.

And with each clash, a small spark ignited where their weapons intersected, adding an extra touch of intensity to the spectacle unfolding before their eyes.

On a few occasions, the crowd were able to witness as Alec and Yama’s weapons clashed against each other, and not just the colours,

Bang!

There was a resounding sound reverberated in the air as Alec’s command caused earth spikes to thrust from the ground, aimed at poking Yama but he was quick to retreat backwards.

However, Yama was not one to remain on the defensive.

Without hesitation, he gracefully swung his Naginata, then swiftly stored it behind his back.

And with a quick cast, he conjured a bow forged from mana, deftly drawing an arrow along its string.

A mana arrow materialized at the perfect moment, released towards Alec despite Yama still being on the evasive maneuver to dodge the protruding earth spikes.

The crowd watched with bated breath, anticipating the outcome as the arrow emitted a sleek sound while hurtling toward Alec.

Its astonishing speed rendered it nearly impossible for most people to keep track of.

In a surprising display of agility, Alec slightly tilted his neck, swiftly catching the arrow with his left hand just before it could hit him.

Preparing to retaliate, a plan to send the arrow flying back formed in Alec’s mind.

However, he had overlooked a crucial detail—the “arrow” was not a conventional projectile.

It was just a manifestation of Yama’s precise mana control, and he paid for this negligence

As Yama seized the opportunity, commanding,

“Explode!”

With a flick of his hand, Yama triggered the detonation of the mana arrow that Alec had caught.

The resulting explosion propelled Alec into the air, causing him to soar momentarily before gravity took hold.

As Alec, had utilized his control over gravity, swiftly descended back to the ground, landing with the same speed and force with which he had been airborne.
