The Golem Mage

Agnes couldn’t contain her shock as she watched Lucas swing one of his dual blades at Alec’s neck.

”What the hell does he think he’s doing, attacking Alec like that?” she exclaimed, half-expecting someone to answer her, but Arthur merely snorted, observing the scene with interest.

”What’s Lucas up to? Don’t tell me he’s been mind-controlled, but even then, he should know that it’ll take more than that to catch Alec off guard,” Brandon mused, scrutinizing the battle to decipher the unfolding events.

Indeed, just as Brandon speculated, Alec feigned a backward retreat, however, as Lucas changed direction to follow, Alec did something unexpected.

The crowd’s eyes were glued to the scene as Alec shifted his stance and launched his right leg forward, moving so swiftly it appeared as a blur.

A burning black flame seemed to cling to his boot.

Bang!!!

Three thunderous impacts echoed as Alec’s boot struck Lucas’s lowered knee, waist, and neck.

His rapid assault took Lucas by surprise; as he hadn’t anticipated Alec to snap out of his trance so quickly.

Caught off guard, Lucas’s all-out attack left him vulnerable to Alec’s perfectly executed Muay Thai kicks, now enhanced by the hellish flames, Lucas’s body seized up under the intense heat.

Boom!

Following the absorption of the black flame’s attack, Lucas’s body was suddenly propelled backward by a massive explosion, tearing through part of the roof and sending him hurtling back into the forest.

Kylian and Asher, who were observing from a short distance, swallowed hard at the sheer destructive force behind the explosion.

This attack shook any previous notions they had about Alec, as they came to the realization that he might just be a demon in disguise.

When Alec’s black flame had struck, it had merely clung to specific spots without causing an immediate reaction, which allowed Lucas to let his guard down, however, the delayed explosion eventually erupted, propelling Lucas off the roof.

Without hesitation, Alec sprinted toward Kylian while Oni headed for Asher, leaving Titan to guard the flag.

The bloody Changdao materialized in Alec’s grasp as he assumed a battle stance.

Kylian was taken aback by Alec’s readiness to engage with a weapon, he had been forewarned by Asher of Alec’s combat prowess, but he had dismissed it as an exaggeration, attributing it to the fact that Asher’s had previously suffered defeat at Alec’s hands.
