THE GOD EATER

His voice had been full of admiration as he said, ’With the way she hid so many things, if the Sea of Worlds hadn’t been unsealed and there was no Gemini to threaten her, she would have eventually dethroned Black Chain as the strongest.’

But that was then, and his surprise hadn’t lasted because he quickly switched his focus to searching for her true body. He was still searching for her true body right now.

His Divine Spirit was constantly sweeping the area around the golden mountain, looking for her. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find any trace of her. In fact, she was so hidden that he couldn’t see how she was adding celestial gold to the golden mountain.

This situation, where he knew that she was nearby, yet couldn’t see her, made his heart sink. And this was with the 900 divinity from the spark of power, raising his Divine Perception to 929 units. If he couldn’t find her with this level of boost to his Divine Perception, then in a fight, when he would need to shift the 900 divinity to his Divine Spirit to use the Devouring Ability, he would definitely be unable to keep track of her.

’It must be the advantage of her Supreme Metacs. She is blocking my perception of her. Without a Supreme Metac of my own to see what’s going on, I won’t be able to spot her,’ he thought, his eyes flickering with malice.

He wasn’t looking for her true body to have a face-to-face conversation with her. Actually, that’s exactly why he was looking for her true body, but the only conversation he planned to have with her was with his fists.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have any Main Divine Ability to help him find her. The Power Identification was not helpful at all, as he could see better with his Divine Perception alone than with the 2-D Divine Ability.

After struggling and failing to find her, he thought to himself, ’I already have unparalleled attacking power with Fenrir. So maybe I should start looking for auxiliary Daos to cover my weaknesses.’

’The Transformation Dao would surely increase my offensive power. The Destruction Dao would even work well with Fenrir in making the Devouring Ability unbeatable. However, of what use is a powerful offense if I can’t find the target?’

’So, I should use the Knowledge Pathway as my second pathway. It is better than the Truth Pathway anyway and should be able to break her illusions.’

He nodded, thinking, ’I don’t dare to use the Rewind Time Supreme Metac openly either way. And the Freedom Supreme Metac is a bit sensitive since it is supposed to be a Grand Dao.’

’I’m sure the Geminis will become suspicious if I show up with two Cosmic Daos that are supposed to be Grand Daos. They will start asking me how I did it. I definitely won’t be able to answer because even I don’t know how I did it.’

’Therefore, I should choose something unproblematic and remove glaring weaknesses like this from me. And I do have a lot of weaknesses,’ he thought with a wince.

’Right now, only my offensive capability is good. I don’t have any defensive means. I can’t amplify my speed. Mental attacks are non-existent. My perception is also poor.’

The more he listed his weaknesses, the more he realized how far behind he was.

Actually, he knew that this was normal for a one-star celestial. After all, a one-star celestial was supposed to be a one-trick pony.

But the fact that it was normal didn’t mean that he had to be comfortable with it. Especially since it meant that Dao Lords like Heavenly Eye with many pathways would have many tricks up their sleeves.

’Fortunately, I am about to advance and create my second star. The situation should improve by then,’ he thought with a sigh of relief.

Just then, he remembered that whatever decision he made for his second pathway would also affect the power of his disciples and the growth of his sect.

But he shook his head, thinking, ’Forget about the leeks. The priority is still to strengthen myself.’

’Besides, they don’t have the problem I have. They have various elements and kinds of Metacs to choose from. Their range of options for Branch Metacs and Divine Metacs is massive. I only have one Main Divine Ability, so I have to prioritize a second pathway that suits me better than theirs.”

Since he couldn’t find Heavenly Eye and the situation had settled down a bit, he used the Divine Spark to check the situation of the Divine Court.

Because of her generous contributions of 28.2 billion square kilometers and 5,000 units of Celestial Gold, the Divine Court has undergone a lot of changes.

-Divine Spark: Authority Suppression. Mountain Lord.

Olympus Divine Mountain = 311 >> 334. Dao Lords = 91.2 billion >> 101.9 square kilometers total Domain Power. Authority = +10 >> +20. Entropy Offload Rate = -20 Entropy/second >> -30 Entropy/Second. Celestial Gold = 91,206 >> 106,206.

The biggest and most important change was the Divine Mountain finally reaching the next milestone of 100 billion square kilometers. The total Domain Power from every member of the Divine Court is now 101.9 billion square kilometers, which has improved both the power of the Mountain Lord and every member.

The benefit to every member in the Divine Court is that their Authority has increased from 20 to 30, and their Entropy Offload Rate also became -30 Entropy/Second. Celestial Gold. With this increase in their Authority, both their power and Entropy capacity have undergone an increase.

As the Mountain Lord, he enjoyed all of the benefits as well as the use of 101.9 billion square kilometers of total Domain Power. The 15,000 Celestial Gold that the two of them contributed also created more slots in the Divine Mountain.

The total contribution of Celestial Gold increased from 91,206 >> 106,206 because of them. This increased the extra available slots from the square root of 91,206, which is 302, to the square root of 106,206, which is 325. Plus the 9 slots that the Divine Mountain started with, the total membership became 334.
