THE GOD EATER

He had a total of 495 units of commonality from his 23 Supreme Metacs, so there were 36 units left. Unfortunately, the 18th cube needed 54 units of commonality to reinforce it, which meant that he didn’t have enough to put the 18th cube to work.

As he watched, he saw that the 459 units of commonality in the 17th cube were being converted into 459 units of divinity without a problem. This put a smile on his face.

However, he also saw that the spark of power was running out of divine crystal at an astonishing rate. Based on his observation, the divine crystals would run out in less than two years.

This made him chuckle and say, ”This is a good problem, though.”

The divine crystal was supposed to last 100 years for a godhead producing 9 units of divinity. The fact that it couldn’t last two years because it was producing too much divinity only made him. Especially since he had a lot of divine crystals to use.

To be exact, he had 85,500 years’ worth of divine crystals and 10,100 units of celestial gold. So he didn’t hesitate to add more divine crystals to the spark of power.

All of the divine crystals and celestial gold were in his inner world, lying on the Divine Mountain. They were tucked away nicely within his body, so he could run away at a moment’s notice without having to leave behind his wealth.

He grabbed a portion of divine crystals worth 1,000 years with the power of his Divine Spirit and pushed them into his Divine Spark. From there, they entered the spark of power and were swallowed up by the 4-D prototype.

The spark of power was like the furnace of a steam engine, and he was refueling it with coal. The more power the steam engine produced, the more fuel it needed to burn. Since he had a lot of fuel to burn, he couldn’t complain that his steam engine was producing too much.

In fact, his emotions were the direct opposite of complaining. He was urging the 4-D prototype with gleaming eyes as he said, ”Go in and burn. Burn as much as you need. Burn for me.”

After he got carried away for a bit, encouraging the 4-D prototype, he reined in his excitement and said solemnly, ”But seriously, I will need a lot of divine crystals, though.”

With a quick calculation, he realized that the 85,500 years of divine crystals that he had would only last 1,676 years at the current rate of usage.

This time would only continue to decrease the stronger the 4-D prototype became. For instance, if the 18th cube were to be reinforced now, it would produce 513 units of divinity, which would reduce the duration from 1,676 years to 1,500 years.

Perhaps the most important part was that this expenditure was only based on maintaining the 4-D prototype. It didn’t account for other expenditures, like what he would need to repair the hammer celestial artifact, build other artifacts, and trade with other Dao Lords.

When he accounted for all of these possible extra expenditures, he realized that the 85,500 years of divine crystals might not be enough to last 500 years. This realization immediately induced some anxiety within him.

But then he calmed down and thought, ’I am not even a hundred years old yet, so 500 years is a very long time for me.’

’Besides, it is not like I am wasting the divine crystals. I am using the divine crystals to maintain or improve my strength. With that strength, I can surely earn more divine crystals when I need them. So there is no need to worry now.’

He put the matter of insufficient divine crystals behind him and moved to the other things that needed his attention. One of the things he planned to do before delving into his research was to establish his Divine Mountain.

A lot of Dao Lords want a Divine Mountain, and even the guardian had told him to take advantage of the golden mountain as soon as possible. With all of this hype going on about it, he would like to see what’s so great about the Divine Mountain.

But before establishing the Divine Mountain, he activated the Power Identification Ability to see his status.

At a glance, he saw that he had lost 75 million years of lifespan. This made him smile and say, ”That’s a lot of lifespan to lose for something other than fighting.”

His total lifespan fell from 10.485 billion to 10.410 billion years, and it was all because of his experiments. The fruit of those experiments was the creation of the Time Rewind Metac, the Bottomless Stomach Supreme Metac, the Hunger Demon Supreme Metac, and the Knowledge Supreme Metac.

So he had spent 75 million years to create two Cosmic Daos and two Grand Daos. He was sure that any Dao Lord would be willing to make that trade.

Not only did he gain four more Supreme Metacs, but together with the Emotion Supreme Metac and the expansion of the previous 19 Supreme Metacs, he was able to expand the 4-D prototype from the 13th to the 17th cube. This increased the power of the 4-D prototype in many ways.
