The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 1995 One Final Step

The parts of the new tower were assembled inside the Tiny World, and double-checked for functionality, but the item was not completed.

Not yet.

”Alright, has anyone had any luck conning a Legend into coming to help us out here?” Leon asked.

Karl shook his head. ”No, I tried two of them, and neither answered. So, theyʼre likely busy.”

Cara nodded in agreement. ”Matilda canʼt come, thereʼs a big war on the world she moved to. Maybe we could provoke one of the Black Dragon Avatars? Whereʼs Yewan?”

That made the Supremes laugh.

”Taunting the god of death to get him to send someone to help you with a crafting project is probably not a great idea. Give us a few minutes, and we can get one of the Legends from our old branch to come help.

We know some with Runecrafting skills, and theyʼre not front-line warriors, so they can help out a little.” Oak informed him.

Sure enough, it was only a few minutes later, and an aged looking green dragon appeared through a portal in the courtyard of the Guild compound.

”See, I knew that Dad wouldnʼt be busy!”

The tower, and the entire senior leadership of the Guild, came out to meet the Legendary dragon, who was inspecting the compound with great curiosity.

”My little Oak, how have you been? Adjusting well to your new home? Theyʼre not bullying you without me around, are they?”

”Nope. The people here are really nice, and theyʼve even got Immortal Bunnies! We needed your help with a crafting project to establish the aura of the new branch.

See? Isnʼt it cool?”

The dragon smiled at his daughter, then glanced at the tower, before doing a double take.

”Thatʼs ... not what I expected to see here in this place. They told me that it was a weaker Immortal World, but thereʼs barely any sense of Divinity at all. Maybe two Guardians for the whole world, and one of them is a Turtle.”

Leo puffed up his tiny chest under his shell. ”Whatʼs wrong with turtles?”

The old dragon laughed. ”Nothing at all. But they are known for century long naps. Not exactly the peak of planetary protection.”

Leo nodded as he understood the context. ”Oh, that makes sense. The turtle is actually like me. A False Island Giant Turtle, grown to Demigod status. He hosts a city full of Blue Elves.”

”Ah, then heʼs not a planetary Guardian at all, just a resident looking after his own people.

Well, in that case, letʼs see what I can do. Any Legendary item should be impressive to the locals, but this one looks like you had the entire team work on it. Good teamwork, well integrated, you saved a lot of time doing it this way.

Just writing all that out would have taken me a week if I did it alone.”

Oak smiled. ”With all of us, we got it done in just one day. So, can you put the final tweaks on it so that it comes out Legendary? Weʼre going to put on a big show and attract all the local Guild Leaders back to the compound.

They just left, after coming for our welcoming party, but the Karl says that he can bring them back, no problem.”

Oakʼs father laughed. ”The Karl? Yes, I can see why you call him that. A Peerless Grade Physique is a rare thing, even on the battlefield. Tell me, Karl, have you considered going to war? It would do you a world of good for your development if you got to fight a Supreme Ranked tosser or two before you got into the real battle.”

Karl smiled as he equipped his Guild Tabard. ”Iʼve gotten to fight one so far, and it was a wonderful learning experience. But I would rather run my branch for now, and work on my trade skills as I grow.

After all, Iʼm still barely twenty years old.”

That made all the Supremes, Rue included freeze in shock.

”Say that again? Youʼre nearly Peak Immortal at twenty? No, wait, youʼre ONLY TWENTY?” Rue gasped.

Karl shrugged and patted her on the shoulder. ”I know, the time distortion effect is nasty. But Iʼve only lived twenty years going by my own experience.”

The old dragon stared at Rue. ”Why are you so shocked? Iʼve seen you on the battlefield before, you know that prodigies grow quickly.”

”Ah, itʼs a personal thing. You see, the first time I met him was ten thousand years ago, where he was posing as an Elder Tengu, sent to help me through my early schooling and to awaken my Class.

Itʼs still a bit difficult to accept that after all these years, not only is he still in the same Guild, but our power levels are reversed, and Iʼve lived so much longer than him.”

”Temporal Dragon?” The old dragon asked Karl.

”Yeah, Bishop Misty is her name. She sent me on a mission to stop Rue from going on a rampage. It seems to have worked out well enough, she made it to Immortality and didnʼt wipe out her home nation.”

”I donʼt know that one. But there arenʼt many Temporal Dragons, so she might just be going by an alias. Or, sheʼs a young one hiding in the Mortal Worlds until sheʼs become a proper Demigod.”

That sounded right to Karl, but he didnʼt want to talk about Misty behind her back like that.

”So, Father Oak, how about it? Can you help us with this project?” He asked instead.

”Father Oak, I like that. I think that I might keep it as a title. Soon, my little girl will be Legendary herself, and I can ride off her fame. Yes, I will help finish this project, as she knew that I would. How could I not?

I really want to see what this turns into once itʼs active.”

Then, he walked over to the tower and began to examine the runes on it, so he could be certain that he was doing everything right, and that there wouldnʼt be any inactive parts. He had been a leading craftsman of the Darklight Host for a very long time, and wore his aged appearance proudly.

Not because he could only look old, but because he was considered a Legendary Elder of the Guild long before his daughter was even born.
