The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 663: You’ve Really Changed

High in the sky, Yulin flew at incredible speed, her wings creating trails of condensed clouds.

On her back, Giacinta, having forgotten his previous displeasure, spoke to Shien Buztout excitedly.

“Do you know how many Limit Level beings there are in the Demon Race?”

“Three!”

“Only three!”

“And all three are executives under Lady Sara, the Moon Demon!”

“In other words, besides Lady Sara, no other Demon Lord has a Limit Level subordinate!”

“But now, you’ve actually raised a Limit Level dragon, a dragon that reached Limit Level before even transforming into a human! Do you know what kind of sensation this will cause in the Demon Realm, especially in the Dragon Demon’s territory, if this news spreads?”

“We… we in the Dragon Demon’s territory have always dreamed of raising a Limit Level dragon!”

Giacinta continued excitedly, even grabbing Shien’s shoulders and shaking him.

“You’ll let her come to the Demon Realm with us, right? You will, right?”

“Such a powerful dragon, letting her roam free in the Human Realm is such a waste!”

“Let her come to the Demon Realm with us! Even just for a visit!”

“After she transforms and awakens her Unique Skill, we’ll definitely let her return whenever she wants, how about it?”

Giacinta looked at Shien expectantly.

Shien just chuckled.

“Sorry, not happening,” he said, pushing Giacinta’s hands away, “Yulin has already started transforming. Even if she doesn’t go to the Demon Realm, it doesn’t matter. I don’t believe you can’t see that.”

“But… but if she goes to the Demon Realm, she can transform faster!” Giacinta said anxiously, “We’re not trying to steal your dragon, we just want her to see the Dragon Demon’s territory, the true home of our Dragon Race!”

This was the truth.

Giacinta didn’t think he could successfully poach this rare dragon from the Hero, making her abandon Shien and follow him to the Dragon Demon’s territory.

Moreover, Airi favored Shien and was now his fiancée. She would definitely side with Shien and wouldn’t allow him to be poached.

However, Giacinta had his own plan.

(Humans have short lifespans, far shorter than our Dragon Race. I’ll take Miss Yulin to the Dragon Demon’s territory, win her favor, and then tell her she can join us after her master dies. That doesn’t count as poaching, right?)

This was Giacinta’s plan.

Unfortunately, he didn’t know that Shien had the Supreme God’s blessing and a long lifespan, perhaps even longer than his. Otherwise, Giacinta would definitely despair.

Shien wouldn’t tell Giacinta this, nor would he bother with him.

He simply pushed Giacinta away and said to Diere and Leisha,

“Are you really not coming to the Demon Realm with me?”

Yesterday, when Shien mentioned going to the Demon Realm to understand the situation, Diere, Leisha, and even Lasha refused without hesitation.

Yes.

They wouldn’t accompany him to the Demon Realm.

This couldn’t be helped.

“My mission in the Imperial Capital ended in failure. After wasting a month, I should go back and see Vivian and the others, apologize for leaving without saying goodbye,” Diere said, showing no intention of accompanying Shien, not even a hint of reluctance.

Leisha and Lasha were also firm in their decision.

“Do you think it’s wise for us, with our identities, to go to the Demon Realm?” Leisha asked with a smirk, making Shien speechless.

Before, Shien wouldn’t have understood her words.

But now, he knew that Leisha and Lasha were both magical beings, one created with the Demon King’s magic power as a core, the other with the Demon King’s body, both deeply connected to the Demon King and closely watched by the higher-ups of the three races.

For Leisha and Lasha to travel in the Human Realm was one thing, but going to the Demon Realm would definitely cause a huge commotion.

Unlike humans, whose lifespans were generally short, and who mostly didn’t know the Demon King after a thousand years, the Demon Race was not only born from the Demon King, but also had many long-lived individuals who participated in the final battle a thousand years ago.

Therefore, if Leisha and Lasha went to the Demon Realm, the impact would be no less than the exposure of Shien’s identity as the Hero.

Perhaps even greater.

Their identities were too sensitive for the Demon Race, not suitable for appearing there.

Therefore, not only did Leisha refuse, but even Lasha said indifferently,

“I’ll be waiting for your return at the Buztout residence.”

Her attitude was clear, she wouldn’t go to the Demon Realm.

“Alright,” Shien could only nod, then said to Leisha, “I’ll leave Diere and Lasha to you. Make sure you bring them home safely.”

“Do you even need to say that?” Leisha said, slightly annoyed, “If it weren’t for your troubles, I would have already dealt with you and Lasha, taken her, and run away.”

Saying that, Leisha put a hand on Diere’s shoulder and another on Lasha’s.

Seeing this, Shien quickly said,

“Be careful on the road. If you encounter any danger, use Leisha as a shield, understand?”

These words were clearly directed at Diere and Lasha.

“Understood,” Diere replied calmly.

“Although it’s not proper for a maid to do so, but since it’s milady, she’ll be able to escape unharmed, so I’ll consider it,” Lasha also replied impassively.

“…Are you serious?” Leisha’s mouth twitched.

At this moment, she felt abandoned by the entire world.

She had been busy for a month, protecting Diere, and this was how they repaid her?

And… Lasha, you’ve truly changed. You’re no longer the cute maid who always addressed me as “milady.”

Feeling deeply hurt, Leisha, along with Diere and Lasha, teleported away from Yulin’s back.

“…” Shien watched this scene, feeling a sense of loneliness.

Until a small figure snuggled into his arms.

Shien came to his senses and looked down.

There, Lilith was clinging tightly to his waist, looking up at him with her big, blinking eyes.

Those expressive eyes conveyed Lilith’s feelings.

Shien smiled gently.

“Yes, I still have you,” he said, hugging Lilith back.

Lilith beamed.

That heartwarming scene made even Giacinta sigh.

(Not only the master, but even this Evil God favors this Hero.)

Giacinta felt emotional.

Jess and Liz exchanged glances and remained silent. As the only two who hadn’t reached Legendary Level, they had no right to speak.

“Roar!” Even Yulin roared, asserting her presence.

“I know, I have you too. I won’t forget,” Shien patted Yulin’s back, the loneliness in his heart dissipating somewhat.

Giacinta’s heart leaped, and he quickly asked, “So you’ll bring Miss Yulin to the Demon Realm with us?”

Giacinta’s tone was a mix of caution and anticipation.

His behavior made Shien’s hair stand on end.

“You’re a grown man, don’t act so cute,” Shien said, shivering, rubbing his arms, “Let me make this clear, if you try anything funny with Yulin, don’t blame me for turning hostile.”

“Don’t worry!” Giacinta said joyfully, “Absolutely not!”

“Good,” Shien said, still suspicious.

Giacinta’s mood brightened, and he even looked at Shien more favorably.

Then, while Yulin flew towards the nearest large magic power source, Giacinta explained the situation in the Demon Realm and the potential problems to Shien.

“The news of your engagement to my master should calm down most demons, but there are definitely still many who don’t approve of this,” Giacinta explained to Shien.

“Some might come looking for trouble, deliberately hindering you, or even plotting against you in secret. Once you arrive in the Demon Realm, remember not to leave our sight.”

This time, Giacinta received Airi’s order to guide Shien and take care of everything for his trip to the Demon Realm.

“Even in the Dragon Demon’s territory, there are definitely those who can’t accept your engagement to my master. If they cause you trouble, don’t be impulsive, just let me handle it.”

Giacinta kept giving instructions.

Shien mostly ignored him. The explanations were fine, but the instructions, Shien didn’t take them seriously.

Not being impulsive when bullied?

That wasn’t him.

So, Shien thought, you do your thing, I’ll do mine.

Giacinta, unaware that this troublemaker was planning something again, continued to give instructions like a seventy-year-old woman.

Finally, Yulin arrived at the nearest large magic power source, diving into the mountains.

At the same time, several figures also flew towards them from the horizon.

Chapter 664: Collapse! Crisis!

Lid had previously told Shien that, unlike the Divine Realm, entrances to the Demon Realm weren’t opened through temples, but existed at the bottom of large, millennia-old magic power sources.

Since Omnipotence was split into three worlds by the Demon King a thousand years ago, and also created into the Divine Realm, Demon Realm, and Human Realm by the Supreme God at that time, the Demon Realm had only existed for a thousand years.

Therefore, the entrances to the Demon Realm were located at the bottom of large, millennia-old magic power sources and could be opened with a demon token.

Normally, these entrances remained closed, only opening when someone with a token approached and entered their detection range.

Now, carried by Yulin, Shien and his companions arrived at the nearest millennia-old magic power source.

“This is it, right?” Shien asked Giacinta.

“Yes,” Giacinta nodded, “The entrance to the Demon Realm is at the bottom of this magic power source. If you approach the bottom with a token, the entrance will sense it and open automatically.”

“A token?” Shien thought for a moment, took out the Dragon Demon’s token he wore around his neck, and asked Giacinta, “Is it enough to just take this out?”

Giacinta looked at the token in Shien’s hand and froze.

“A Demon Lord’s token…!?”

Jess and Liz’s faces changed drastically, and they quickly knelt before Shien, their faces filled with awe and fear, as if they had seen the Demon Lord herself.

“What are you doing?” Shien was startled.

But it was actually Giacinta and the others who were truly startled.

“…Did my master really give you her token?” Giacinta asked softly after a long silence, his tone filled with resentment.

Shien shuddered. What was wrong with this dragon? He sounded like a jealous old woman.

Shien suppressed his discomfort and, ignoring Giacinta, spoke to Yulin, still holding Lilith.

“Dive down, Yulin.”

Shien gave the order decisively.

“Roar!”

Yulin immediately understood and dove towards the bottom of the large magic power source without hesitation.

“Bang!”

As Yulin plunged into the magic power-infused water, a huge wave erupted from the magic power source.

The surrounding monsters fled in panic, not daring to provoke the Limit Level black dragon.

Yulin continued downwards, carrying everyone.

Shien felt the surrounding water pressing in, bringing a sense of suffocation.

However, perhaps due to the special nature of the magic power source’s water, there was ample light, not making it feel dark.

Lilith, Giacinta, Jess, Liz, and the others also seemed unaffected.

If they wanted to, they could easily create a barrier to separate the water.

Soon, Yulin reached the bottom of the source, carrying everyone on her back.

“Clang…”

At this moment, the token in Shien’s hand began to glow faintly.

“Weng!”

The bottom of the source trembled, as if sensing something, and began to churn.

The water at the bottom suddenly swirled like a vortex, spinning faster and faster, forming a massive whirlpool.

At the center of the whirlpool, a void gradually formed.

“That’s the entrance to the Demon Realm. Passing through it will lead you to the Demon Realm,” Giacinta’s voice echoed directly in Shien’s mind.

“There will also be a large magic power source on the other side. Or rather, for every magic power source in the Human Realm with an entrance to the Demon Realm, there’s a corresponding one in the Demon Realm.”

“They are connected, their locations fixed, unless interfered with by external forces, and it has to be a power at the Demon Lord level to change the location of the passage.”

“There are six entrances in the Mitra Kingdom, each corresponding to a Demon Lord’s territory, meaning each of the six territories has an entrance to the Mitra Kingdom.”

“The Ragna Empire only has four, two leading to the Moon Demon’s territory, one to the Beast Demon’s, and the last one to the Dragon Demon’s territory, where we’re going.”

“This entrance we’re about to enter is the one leading to the Dragon Demon’s territory.”

“My master should be waiting for you on the other side.”

Hearing this, Shien’s gaze was fixed on the entrance before him.

Thinking of the little girl who left just a few days ago and suddenly announced their engagement, Shien felt both resentment and longing.

“In that case, let’s enter,” Shien patted Yulin’s back.

Yulin, without hesitation, spread her wings and dove into the center of the whirlpool.

The whirlpool then gradually shrunk and disappeared.

At the moment it vanished, several figures rushed towards it, trying to follow, but failed.

They seemed anxious.

Faintly, their voices could be heard through the water.

“Wuwuwu… we missed it again…!”

“We’re… we’re going to be scolded by Goddess Nadue…!”

“What should we do? We’ve been lost for days, and we finally found the person she asked us to monitor…!”

“What should we do?”

“It’s all your fault! Always running off chasing butterflies and catching fish!”

“Butterflies and fish are cute!”

The three small figures argued and hovered around, lost and unsure what to do.

Finally, the seemingly more reliable one spoke, gritting her teeth.

“There’s no other way, Norn, Skuld, let’s ‘merge’!”

“Verdande is right! Let’s ‘merge’ and use our power to open a passage through spacetime, directly traveling to the Demon Realm!”

“But… but Verdande, Skuld, where should we go? We’ll end up in the wrong time without a reference point…!”

“It doesn’t matter! We can just travel through spacetime a few more times! We have to find that person and monitor him…!”

“Let’s do it!”

“Th… then alright…”

With these words, the three small figures held hands, and a dazzling light erupted from them.

In the next second, the three figures merged into one, transforming into a radiant goddess who descended upon this world.

With a wave of her hand, a vortex appeared at the bottom of the magic power source.

However, this vortex wasn’t just an entrance, but a passage through spacetime.

Then, the goddess entered the spacetime passage.

The passage closed, and everything returned to silence.

…

At the same time, Shien and his companions, carried by Yulin, were flying through a starlit tunnel towards an exit with a glowing light source.

Suddenly, the entire tunnel trembled.

“Roar!” Yulin cried out in panic.

“Wha…!?”

“Yaaah…!”

Jess and Liz also exclaimed, almost thrown off Yulin’s back.

The tunnel trembled violently, even becoming distorted, as if entering a constantly rotating space, making Yulin sway uncontrollably.

“What… what’s happening?”

Shien was startled, quickly steadying himself.

Lilith also grabbed Shien, a rare look of panic on her face.

Giacinta was also shocked.

“Impossible…! Is this a Demon Lord level power affecting the passage…? Who is it…!?”

This question wouldn’t be answered.

Not only because no one would answer, but also because the tunnel’s distortion intensified, turning into a storm that blew everyone off Yulin’s back.

“Master…!?”

“Aaaaaah…!”

Jess and Liz, screaming, were sucked into a suddenly appearing exit.

“Tsk…!”

Giacinta, unable to even struggle, was sucked into another exit.

“Roar!” Yulin roared, also swallowed by an exit.

Only Shien and Lilith remained, separated in the chaos.

“Lilith!”

Shien tried to reach her, but was swept away by the storm, entering an exit.

“Boom!” Lilith finally unleashed her terrifying power, her evil aura surging and filling the tunnel. Her twelve black wings spread, and she charged towards the exit Shien entered, forcefully dispersing the spatial storm.

But Lilith’s full power further distorted the passage.

“Crack, crack, crack…!” Cracks appeared on the tunnel walls.

“Bang!” The tunnel shattered, the entire space collapsing.

Just as Lilith was about to enter the exit Shien went through, it disappeared along with the collapsing space.

Then, Lilith was also swallowed by the collapsing space, her whereabouts unknown.

…

“Hmm?”

Demon Realm, shore of a large magic power source.

Airi, who had been waiting here for a long time, seemed to sense something and looked up towards the bottom of the source.

“The passage collapsed?” Airi was startled, then rushed into the water.

A while later, Airi emerged, her expression grim.

“What happened?” she said angrily.

“Is someone behind this?” This thought immediately crossed her mind.

In the current situation, it wasn’t impossible for someone to sabotage the passage and harm Shien.

“Damn it!” A terrifying dragon’s might erupted from Airi.

That day, Shien arrived in the Demon Realm, but a major incident occurred.

His journey to the Demon Realm began with this unexpected turn of events.
