The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Issuing the Good Guy Card

Fu Yu turned to Wang Yuxuan to ask for the customer’s order slip.

Wang Yuxuan glanced at the mother and son and then quietly explained: ”The customer didn’t place an order, they only asked for a dish that he could eat.”

Fu Yu was dumbfounded.

No wonder Wang Yuxuan was in such a hurry to find Chef Gu to solve this matter.

The customer didn’t follow the normal ordering process at all.

They just instructed to make a dish that he could eat.

If it were a normal person, the kitchen could make any signature dish of the restaurant on a whim and serve it for the customer to taste.

But this customer in front of them is an anorexia patient.

A dish that an anorexia patient can eat.

Seriously!

Really should have Wang Yuxuan check if these two customers were sent by a rival restaurant to create trouble!

Fu Yu cursed silently in his heart.

A bright idea suddenly flashed in his mind.

The boy had just said that he suddenly wanted to eat.

Since he had this idea, there should be some clues to pick up on.

Like what ingredients he wants to eat, how it’s made, the presentation, what exactly did he think of to suddenly want to eat.

There’s no time to delay.

Fu Yu asked: ”I wonder if you have any dietary restrictions? Or are you allergic to any kind of ingredient?”

The boy paused, thought for a moment, and answered: ”No, I used to eat everything, now I don’t want to eat anything.”

Seizing the moment the boy was thinking, Fu Yu quickly checked the floating thoughts above his head.

A sketch quickly appeared before his eyes.

Fu Yu was dumbfounded.

The food in the boy’s mind was just a blurry mosaic.

This...

Left him completely clueless!

Fu Yu tried to guide the boy to think again, so he gently prompted: ”Is there anything you particularly want to eat right now?”

The boy gave Fu Yu a slight glance and said, ”If I knew, I wouldn’t have come here.”

The boy looked at Fu Yu with an expression as if it were a matter of course.

He was a customer, here to dine, the chef should serve food that pleases him.

In his view, it was only natural.

Fu Yu took the chance to once again peek into the boy’s thoughts.

This time, the sketch was no longer a mosaic but rather a rapid slideshow of various ingredient images.

There was salad, a fruit platter, a delicate three-tier pastry tower, and even two pieces of fruit candy.

Fu Yu was taken aback.

Are these the foods the boy wants to eat?

Vegetables, fruits, desserts, candies?

All very simple things, things that could easily be eaten at home, yet he’s come to a restaurant for them.

Thinking of the boy’s sickly appearance.

Fu Yu sighed.

The boy calmly spoke, ”What, can’t you make them here?”

Fu Yu: ”...”

It’s doable, just afraid you won’t eat it.

The boy saw Fu Yu’s hesitating expression and continued, ”Forget it, just make whatever, it wouldn’t be surprising if it comes out and I don’t feel like eating it...”

[Ding! NPC boy customer’s task: Make a dish he can eat. Task completion rewards: 50 RMB, a recipe liked by anorexia customers, task experience +5]

Fu Yu: ”!”

This was simply issuing a challenge!

Looking down on whom!

Fu Yu rationally felt there was no need to get agitated over the boy’s words.

The other party is a patient, no need to get upset with him.

But at the same time, he irrationally accepted the task and replied, ”Please wait a moment while I prepare your meal.”

Wang Yuxuan: ???

Prepare a meal?

How to prepare it?

When Wang Yuxuan looked at Fu Yu again, he suddenly felt that this person would surely achieve great things in the future.

Just this calm and confident attitude in handling things was not something ordinary people could do...

Fu Yu went to the back kitchen.

As expected, Chef Gu was not there.

Yao Yihang was still absorbed in cooking, and the assistant cook beside him was being kept extremely busy.

Fu Yu stood in front of the kitchen counter, not rushing to work, instead he pulled out his phone to search online for anorexia patient recipes and recommended ingredients and precautions.

For patients with anorexia nervosa, the food must be appetizing, and their diet must be personalized and tailored to the individual.

It must suit the patient’s tolerance.

Malnourished individuals might lose their appetite at the sight of a large quantity of food, so smaller portions more frequently might be more acceptable.

Also, consider whether the food has color, aroma, and taste.

To put it simply, it should be small and exquisite, it must look distinctive, able to evoke a desire to taste just through a visual impact.

Fu Yu stared at these lines for a while, then quickly made up his mind.

Since the focus needed to be on visual perception, he had nothing to fear.

Isn’t it just plating!

He is at an intermediate level!

Vegetable salad, fruit platter.

Fu Yu broke down these two ingredients to use as decorations.

The main course was a delicate heart-shaped lemon pudding cake.

A thin layer of cake base, topped with an equally thin yet crystal-clear pudding.

A light pale yellow, appearing delicate and refreshing under the soft light.

Up close, one can smell the exclusive fragrance of lemons.

Vegetables and fruits, Fu Yu carefully selected those with fresh, appealing colors that can be carved into various cute shapes.

The final touch.

Are two crystal-clear fruit candies.

They are Hongyuan’s strawberry and green apple flavors, respectively.

Fu Yu arranged the entire plating into the shape of a heart with wings.

It looks both whimsical and creative.

He adjusted the position of the candies one last time, personally carrying the serving tray to deliver the dish to Room 105.

Wang Yuxuan paced nervously in the hallway on the first floor, like an ant on a hot pan.

She felt it was necessary to visit the Buddha Light Temple on Sifeng Mountain next week during her off days.

This month’s luck was truly a bit low!

As Fu Yu approached with the tray, Wang Yuxuan breathed a sigh of relief and rushed to greet him.

She peered over and was stunned.

”Is this, a dessert?”

No matter how you look at it, this didn’t resemble a dish.

Fu Yu nodded, ”Take it inside and see. If it doesn’t work, I’ll think of a way to remake it.”

There was no other option at the moment.

Wang Yuxuan pinned all her hopes on this exquisite, art-piece-like serving tray.

...

The boy stared, dumbfounded, at the dish in front of him.

This dish was so beautiful, it was like a vivid painting.

Shiny cake, adorable candies, along with strawberries, kiwis, dragon fruit, broccoli, and some unknown vegetables, cut into stars, moons, and various cute little patterns, pieced together to form a spread of wings.

Both cute and charming.

Fu Yu watched the boy intently, repeatedly emphasizing in his heart: Try it, it’s really tasty, this is exactly what you wanted...

The boy actually didn’t have much appetite, but almost as if possessed, he picked up the fork.

He gently poked a small piece of cake and put it in his mouth.

Hmm... A rich fragrance with a hint of sweetness.

The cake was truly delicate, just with a small bite, he had eaten nearly half.

Looking at the remaining food on the plate, the boy suddenly felt an indescribable sense of accomplishment.

Without much effort, he swallowed the food in his mouth and then attempted to lift the remaining half of the cake to his mouth.

The serving tray was quickly more than half empty.

The boy blinked.

He hadn’t experienced the feeling of finishing all the food on his plate in a long time.

As delighted as he was, he also felt a bit eager to try more.

There were still some vegetables and fruits left on the plate.

He slowly poked them, taking them one by one.

The ingredients were light and delicious, so he didn’t find it difficult to eat.

He ate quietly until the last piece on the plate was gone, then reached out to pick up the green candy.

He put the candy in his mouth, savoring it.

Ah, just as he thought, it was apple-flavored.

But it was a bit too sweet.

He spat the candy out.

Then he tried the other pink candy, which turned out to be strawberry-flavored.

After tasting it, he spat the candy out again.

Smacking his lips, the boy set down the utensils, a faint smile on his face.

”It was really delicious, thank you.”

[Ding! The task for NPC boy customer: Make a dish he can eat, successfully completed. Reward: 50 yuan, a recipe favored by customers with anorexia, +5 task experience]

The next second, Fu Yu’s phone vibrated in his pocket.

The boy’s mother, sitting next to him, was overjoyed.

”How do you feel? Do you feel like throwing up?”

The boy shook his head, ”No.”

The boy’s mother was too excited to contain herself, ”Oh, that’s great! Truly great!!”

Fu Yu breathed a sigh of relief and quietly wiped his sweaty palms on his apron.

...

After sending off the mother and son pair.

Wang Yuxuan was filled with emotion.

She sincerely thanked Fu Yu: ”Fu Yu, thank you so very much. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have known what to do.”

Fu Yu waved a hand, ”It was just a small effort, no need to be so polite.”

Wang Yuxuan looked steadily at Fu Yu for a while, then sincerely said, ”Fu Yu, you’re truly a good person.”

Fu Yu: ”...”

That’s what you came up with after all that time?

I knew Chef Gu was just talking out of his hat, saying he was very popular with the girls.

Look, just see how I’ve now been handed the ”good person” card!

Oh well...

I better head back to the dorm quickly and test the effect of my enhanced ”God’s Right Hand” speed...

With my right hand, I have the world!

Being single doesn’t seem to matter all that much anymore...
