Chapter 321: 321: My Brother

While Simon and Akaza were having their conversation, another conversation was going on in a dark and cruel room.

This room is called the Black Covenant Room, and in this room, there were seven individuals.

If Simon were here, he’d recognize three, and the condition of these three was rather… disturbing.

Agramormos, Belafar, and Tibat were all chained to the ceiling of the room.

They were completely naked, whip marks, cuts, and bruises could be seen on their bodies.

Blood flowed from these injuries down their bodies, all the way to the tip of their toes. But their blood did not fall to the ground.

It fell to a clay bowl that held a crimson red flame.

Whenever their blood fell to the flame, the flame would rise and its tip would burn the soles of their feet, causing them immense pain.

One would think that they would scream, but they could only make muffled noises as their mouths were covered with clothes.

The leaders of the three strongest gangs were all in a pitiful state, and if a stranger were here, they would not see any sign that these three were actually leaders.

The fourth individual that was here was actually a corpse…a female human corpse to be exact.

Her stomach all the way from her chest to her stomach has been cut open, and some of her internal organs were no longer present.

The expression frozen on her face was one of pain, but if one looked closely, they’d also find relief.

As for where her missing internal organs were, they were on the golden plates in front of the last three individuals.

These last three individuals were the three leaders of the factions backing the gangs.

The air was solemn and dark as the two out of the three faction leaders ate the female human’s internal organs.

The sound of forks and knives echoed in the dim and cold Black Covenant Room along with muffled sounds of the three gang leaders.

No words were spoken for nearly a minute, then one of the leaders spoke as he finished eating the liver of the female human.

He wiped his mouth with a white handkerchief, and if one was observant enough, they’d see that his teeth were completely golden and on his fingers were ten golden rings.

He then lowered his mask to completely cover his face.

His mask was also completely golden, and it had two eye holes and a mouth hole.

This man is called Vane, and he’s the leader of the Iron Ledgers. He’s sometimes referred to as The Auditor.

From a glance, it was obvious he loved money and he depicted the philosophy of wealth is power.

He looked at the remaining two leaders, then he spoke.

“What are we going to do about the first year slave called Broken Halo?”

There was silence for a moment, then Scylla- the leader of the Sanguine Fang- spoke.

The upper part of her face was covered by a human skull, but the lower part was left exposed.

Sometimes, she’s referred to as the Blood Reaper.

In front of her was the half eaten heart of the female human, and her red eyes was filled with a chilling indifference.

“What can we do? Because of these fools, he broke no laws of the academy. Attacking a First Year is going to be a stain on our record.”

“Especially a slave for that matter.”

She and Vane looked at the chained Agramormos, Tibat, and Belafar with disgust and anger.

“It still baffles me how these fools were tricked by a mere First Year slave.” Scylla said while shaking her head in disappointment.

Vane looked at her.

“So, are you telling me that we’re going to leave the slave alone? Because of his actions, he cost us nearly eighty thousand merits.”

“We were also punished in other annoying ways.”

Vane’s growl of anger filled the air, and Scylla sighed.

“These fools are meant to be our tools to teach the First Years and some of the Second Years a lesson, but they’ve become useless before we could even use them.”

Clang

Vane was about to speak, but the soft sound of metal hitting metal echoed in the room, and both of them looked at Korth, the leader of the Obsidian Thorns.

He was wearing an emerald mask that had small thorn-like designs on it. It had two eye holes but no mouth hole.

He had just finished eating the womb of the female human, and he did not bother to clean his mouth because of how delicious it was.

He shifted his gaze to Tibat, then he licked his lips behind his mask and shook his head disappointedly before looking back at the two leaders who had slight frowns behind their masks.

Why?

Because Korth is usually referred to as the Mad Thorn.

“My brother heard about this slave and he has quite interested in him.”

At the mention of the word ’brother’, the expressions of Scylla and Vane changed.

They instinctively sat up straight and had solemn expressions.

“He has told me what we should do. Don’t attack the slave, go for the Iron Fangs.”

The eyes of Scylla and Vane flashed with a cold light of realization.

“That’s smart. The Iron Fangs are Second Years, so we have more freedom to deal with them.” Scylla said with a tinge of awe in her voice.

“But how many are we going to kill? If we just kill one or two, I don’t think it would do much damage to the Iron Fangs or the slave.”

Scylla nodded at Vane’s words.

“That’s true. And if we kill too many, the academy would interfere and punish us. We also cannot kill Akaza since he’s a talent the academy values.” Scylla frowned as she spoke.

“My brother said that before you start killing, you should make your findings on how the members of the Iron Fangs feel about serving the slave.”

“It might be easier than you think to dismantle the Iron Fangs.”

“However, my brother also said that you should kill about three low ranking members of the Iron Fangs and make sure the Iron Fangs see it.”

“This will cause unrest and it would make things more difficult for the slave and the members of the Iron Fangs.”

“My brother can handle the consequences of killing three low ranking members of the Iron Fangs.”

Scylla and Vane had bright eyes hearing this, then Korth stood and walked up to the chained and naked Tibat.

She looked down at him, her eyes filled with fear, anger, hatred, and pleading.

Korth’s lips turned into a smile behind the mask.

“If I’m to guess, my brother would most likely meet with the slave or watch him closely. He does that when he sees something or someone that piques his interest.”

“You all know his nature.”

Smack!

Korth smacked the naked ass of Tibat, then he stuck up two fingers inside her vagina, his eyes gleaming with madness.

She writhed and her muffled sounds became louder.

Scylla and Vane had indifferent expressions seeing this.

“Oh well, that’s all from my brother. I’ll tell you if he says anything else.”

He then increased the number of fingers in Tibat’s vagina from two to five.

“Hmmmmm!!!!”

Tibat’s loud muffled sounds echoed in the Black Covenant Room along with the muffled sounds of Agramormos and Belafar.
