The battle was over...

In the enormous expanse of the cosmos, where once a mighty clash of divine power had shaken the fabric of existence, there was now a heavy, unsettling stillness.

The Outworldlyʼs radiant visage—the embodiment of cosmic balance and universal order—had faded into nothingness, disappearing into the dark void.

Only the echoes of his last desperate struggle remained, a lingering tremor in the farthest reaches of space.

The humanoid deity stood at the center of it all, his new form glowing with a blinding, terrifying light that rippled with unmeasurable strength.

He had done it. He had absorbed the power of the Outworldly, and now his presence dwarfed even the largest galaxies.

His form had shifted into something almost unrecognizable—a towering figure of light and shadow, with a multitude of eyes that shimmered like stars and a crown of celestial flames that blazed with his newfound supremacy.

Around him, the other deities began to gather, their forms ranging from the colossal to the monstrous. Their expressions bore disbelief, resentment, and a begrudging acceptance of the new reality.

The cosmos felt their unease, vibrating under the guise of this uneasy alliance.

Ignara, still simmering with the aftereffects of the battle, was the first to speak. Her fiery form crackled with exhaustion and indignation. ”Youʼve done it,” she spat, her voice both grudging and begrudgingly impressed. ”You have become the Outworldly. Now, fulfill your promise.”

Oceana body flowed like the depths of an endless ocean while she nodded in agreement. ”You said we would be free to rule, to shape the cosmos as we see fit. No more rules to bind us.”

The humanoid deity, now the new Outworldly, let out a low, rolling laugh that seemed to ripple through the cosmos like a wave of thunder.

It was a laugh that carried both triumph and something darker—a hint of malevolence. ”Ah, yes,” he said, his voice a deep, resonant echo that filled the vastness of space. ”I remember what I promised. But first—do you all accept me as the ruler of the deities?”

The deities exchanged uneasy glances. Some were visibly bristling at the question.

Nocturnis shadowy form rippled with barely contained rage as he stepped forward. ”Do not push your luck, new Outworldly,” he hissed. ”We fought by your side to be free, not to bow to another tyrant.”

The new Outworldlyʼs many eyes turned their attention to Nocturnis, and for a moment, his presence darkened, as if the very void around them grew heavier. ”Bow or perish,” he said softly, and yet the threat in his words carried the weight of countless stars collapsing. ”I will not ask again.”

A tense silence followed, thick as the dark matter that held the cosmos together.

Some of the deities were incensed, but they also realized they had no choice. Even in their arrogance and power, they could sense the undeniable difference in strength. Time and time again, they have been shown that the Outworldly power was nothing to scoff at.

One by one, reluctantly, they bowed their heads or otherwise signaled their submission.

”Fine,” Ignara grumbled as her flames dimmed in resignation. ”You are the ruler. For now.”

The new Outworldlyʼs smirk widened as his eyes glowed with a twisted delight. ”Good,” he said with a tone of satisfaction. ”I will fulfill my end of the bargain. But know this—everything will be done on my terms.”

With that, he turned his attention to the cosmos as his new powers extended across the universe. ”The dimensional webs,” he said thoughtfully, almost to himself, ”the ones the old Outworldly constructed... They will take some time to dismantle. Patience, my dear allies. Once they are gone, you may run rampant as you please.”

The deities, though dissatisfied with his arrogance, couldnʼt hide their anticipation. They had longed for this moment—the freedom to wield their powers without restriction, to reshape worlds and mold reality as they saw fit. A murmur of dark joy spread among them as they nodded, deciding to wait.

And so, the new Outworldly set to work. The dimensional webs that the former Outworldly had painstakingly woven—barriers that kept the deities away from the mortal realms, protecting countless lives from divine interference—were now the only thing standing between the mortals and a universe overrun by godly chaos.

The webs shimmered faintly across the cosmos, like a vast, interconnected net of starlight. The mortals were on borrowed time.

The new Outworldly, in his greed and ambition, was slowly, meticulously unraveling the webs thread by thread.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, the scene was strikingly different. Elias human guise was found unconscious near the outskirts of the Oslov estate.

His body lay sprawled in the tall grass, the serene evening light casting long shadows over his still form. The estate workers, who were patrolling the grounds, stumbled upon him and immediately recognized their employerʼs friend.

”Sir! Itʼs Elias!” one of them shouted, waving to his companion. ”Heʼs unconscious—quick, get help!”

A few moments later, Oslov himself came rushing out in urgency. Seeing Elias lying there, motionless and pale, a deep sense of dread filled his chest. ”Elias... What happened to you?” he whispered under his breath, kneeling beside him.

He instructed the workers to carefully carry Elias into the estate. Once inside, they placed him on a soft couch in one of the guest rooms.

Oslov, a man who had built his fortune on decisiveness and action, was at a loss for words as he looked down at his friend. ”He was fine just days ago... What could have caused this?” he murmured, more to himself than to anyone else.

Determined to help his friend, Oslov immediately called for the best medical experts in the town.

Doctors, healers, and even some of the most skilled spiritual practitioners were brought to the estate. They examined Elias, checking his pulse, his breathing, and every sign they could think of.

Yet, no matter how many tests they conducted or how many remedies they tried, the conclusion remained the same—Elias was alive, but he was in a state of deep unconsciousness, almost as if his very spirit had left him.

A graying doctor with wise eyes looked up from Elias and sighed. ”Iʼm afraid thereʼs not much we can do, Mr. Oslov,” he said gently. ”Heʼs not injured, but itʼs as if heʼs in a sleep deeper than any weʼve seen. We will continue to care for him, but we must be prepared for the possibility that he may not wake up.”

Oslovʼs face tightened. ”No,” he insisted with a firm tone. ”I refuse to believe that. Elias is strong—heʼs different. Keep trying. I donʼt care how much it costs; just do everything you can.”

Days turned into weeks, and Oslov stayed by Eliasʼs side as often as he could, his heart heavy with worry.

He brought in musicians to play calming melodies, hoping to stir some response. He read aloud from Eliasʼs favorite books, recounting stories of their past adventures, and even tried speaking to him directly.

”Come on, Elias,” Oslov murmured one evening, sitting by the bedside with a weary expression. ”Wake up. You canʼt just leave us like this. Not after everything. My son needs his godfather.”

He sighed, looking out the window where the sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over the room. ”You once told me that life was about finding the beauty in the smallest of moments,” he continued.

”I didnʼt quite understand it then, but I think I do now. I see it every day in my sonʼs smile, in my wifeʼs laughter... and in the friendship weʼve shared. I need you to come back, Elias. We all do.”

But there was no response. Elias remained still. His face was calm and expressionless, as if he were merely sleeping. Yet, deep down, Oslov felt that this was something beyond his understanding—something that reached far into the unknown.

Far away in the cosmic realms, the new Outworldly continued his work. The dimensional webs were complex, woven with layers of ancient magic and cosmic energy that protected mortal realms from divine interference.

The former Outworldly had constructed them with precision, knowing how crucial they were for maintaining balance. The new Outworldly, however, saw them as nothing more than barriers to his and the deitiesʼ desires.

Piece by piece, he began to dismantle them, his power seeping into each thread and dissolving it. The deities witnessed this from their realms with bated breath, eager for the moment when the last of the webs would fall and they could reclaim the cosmos for themselves.

”Just a bit longer,” the new Outworldly muttered, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. ”Soon, the universe will be reborn under my rule. And nothing—nothing—will stand in my way.”

But as he continued his dark work, a flicker of uncertainty crossed his mind. Though he had won, though he now wielded the power of the Outworldly, there was a nagging sensation, a shadow of doubt.

A part of him wondered if he had truly vanquished the old Outworldly—or if he truly got all of his power. Would the old Outworldly had difficulty dismantling this?
