The 99th Divorce

The child had always been the longest and deepest thorn between them. From the moment when the blood was on the bed, they had been deeply pierced. And as soon as they touched it, they would have a heartbreaking pain.

Two children, my twins. They were aborted by the woman I love, by her own choice.

Ou Ming’s face became cold, and the coldness was like the ice and snow in the winter, which could go deep into the bone.

Looking at his expression, Yu Lili smiled. She lifted up her face and leaned against the bed, and her tears flowed down secretly. But laughter came out from her mouth. It was such a strange and pathological laugh. Like four years ago, when the child was aborted, her face was full of retaliatory pleasure. So cruel…

Ou Ming stood up from the bed and strode out.

Yu Lili suddenly slackened, and there was no strength in her body. She leaned on the bed and whimpered.

He’s gone. He is mad at me. Ha…

She thought that Ou Ming would want to kill her, thus he could help her free herself.

It will be good. Dying in his hands would be the happiest thing in these four years. But he didn’t.

Yu Lili opened her eyes and glanced at the messy quilt. Gently opening it, she got out of the bed with bare feet. The autumn night was very cool. Yu Lili was shivering with cold. She went out of the door. There were only a few lights on in the corridor, and there was no one. With a slow pace, she went out.

Yu Lili pressed the button of the elevator and saw that the highest floor here was only the 13th floor. After pressing on the button of the highest floor, Yu Lili leaned against the elevator and felt no strength.

Ding!

The elevator had arrived at the 13th floor. After the door opened, Yu Lili saw a corridor.

After walking for a long time, she saw the safe passage.

Going up, is it the real top floor?

The coldness was everywhere. Yu Lili was shivering. Climbed upstairs, she saw an iron gate that had been bolted. Pulling the iron bolt out, the violent cool breeze blew over. Without preparation, Yu Lili was hit by the strong wind and fell down the stairs.

Boom!

The iron gate was blown by the wind and hit the back wall. Yu Lili fell down and bumped the back of her head. The body that had no strength at all was even sorer at this moment, and she could not climb up again.

It hurts, it hurts so much…

Yu Lili’s eyes were filled with tears. Her body was sore and weak, and she was in so much pain that she could not move.

Why is it so difficult to die? Suicide by gas did not succeed. Suicide by jumping into the river was stopped. Now I just want to jump from the building, and even the weather is against me. Is it because I have committed so much sin that even God is not willing to let me die directly?

Yu Lili lay on the ground and rested for a while until she had a little strength. Struggling to get up, she couldn’t even stand. She climbed up the stairs with both of her hands, dragging her body. The cold wind outside made her tremble. Suddenly, the sirens suddenly rang without any precautions.

Yu Lili was scared, and she started to shiver. She felt her legs give out, and her whole body slipped down the staircase. Gritting her teeth, she climbed up and finally got to the roof. She found that the hospital gowns and white coats of the doctors were hanging at the top floor.

Going up and stumbling to find the edge of the top floor, Yu Lili felt a little relaxed.

Free. Yu Lili, you’re going to free yourself. Finally, I can die.
