Supreme Vision Master

Chapter 550: Chapter 550: Setting Out with Betrothal Gifts!

Meanwhile, within Dongli Palace, Prince Cheng and others were still waiting for the response of the Eastern Fence King.

The latter had already received instructions from Luo Qingtong and immediately feigned agreement, voicing his indignation: ”Of course!”

”You Princes might not be aware of how arrogant the Luo Family is! Especially that Luo Qingtong, so arrogant and presumptuous, she wasted Dongli’s Three Armies and didn’t take me, the Eastern Fence King, seriously at all!”

”Had it not been for the sake of the Imperial Family, I would have flattened the Luo Family long ago!”

The Eastern Fence King spoke with both ferocity and bite.

Prince Cheng and the others were fully aware of his intentions towards the Luo Family.

They knew even more so that he had tried to harm the Luo Family before, but was rebuffed by Luo Qingtong.

Hearing this, they nodded in agreement: ”Good, since that’s the case...”

Before he could finish his words, the Eastern Fence King’s tone abruptly shifted.

”However, Princes, this matter is no small affair. Luo Qingtong’s status is that of the future Fifth Prince Consort of the Empire! You want me to do this, and I am naturally more than willing. But...”

”You have to give me an Imperial insignia to prove that this matter is ordered by the Imperial Family! Otherwise, I cannot bear the wrath of the Fifth Prince! I wouldn’t dare to handle this matter without such assurance!”

Clearly, what the Eastern Fence King meant was that he was afraid of becoming the scapegoat.

Upon hearing this, Prince Cheng and the others had no suspicion of deceit.

”Alright.” An Emperor-level elder standing behind Prince Cheng said: ”This is our Imperial Family’s Coiled Dragon Jade Pendant, which can only be worn by core members of the direct lineage. There are no more than twelve in the entire Imperial Family! Each one symbolizes absolute authority! With it, no one will dare to question that this is not a command from our Imperial Family.”

As he spoke, he handed over the jade pendant he held in his hand.

The Eastern Fence King hastened to accept it and responded eagerly: ”Good! Rest assured, Princes, I shall handle this matter with diligence and care.”

”Mhm.” The Emperor-level elder voiced a low affirmation and then closed his eyes, pretending to rest and no longer spoke.

”Alright, now that this is settled, you may go prepare! We need to make preparations of our own to visit Old Master Luo at the Luo Family tomorrow!” Prince Cheng said gravely.

Since they had come to catch someone in the act, they naturally couldn’t appear unexpectedly without reason.

Otherwise, wouldn’t it tell everyone that this whole play was arranged by them?

Prince Cheng and the others had already planned thoroughly.

This time they had come in advance to Dongli Palace to discuss the matter with the Eastern Fence King.

Now that the matter was settled, they could enter Fenglin City with great fanfare tomorrow!

As for their purpose... naturally, it was to present an engagement gift to the Luo Family on behalf of the Fifth Prince!

Yuwen Mo had previously said that once Luo Qingtong reached sixteen, he would marry her and take her home!

At that time, Emperor Tianyu and others did not agree, feeling that Luo Qingtong was not worthy of Yuwen Mo.

But now, they had the perfect excuse to use this matter!

Although Luo Qingtong was not yet sixteen, she was not far off.

To offer the engagement gift in advance was not unacceptable!

At that time, they would be able to stay in Fenglin City with full legitimacy, planning this grand drama!

The group immediately left.

The next morning, outside Fenglin City, a resounding noise of gongs and drums could be heard.

A procession adorned in ten miles of red threaded its way into the city.

Ten miles of red dress spread across the streets, an imposing procession heading straight towards the Luo Family!
