Supreme Emptiness

Chapter 2233: Chapter 2277: Dharma Seal’s Love Tribulation

Thus, he could deduce the upheaval that had taken place in the Sumeru Divine Prison all those years ago.

The Crown Prince had broken free from his cage on the Third Layer and descended to the Second Layer. He unlocked fifteen of the cages, taking the Saints who followed him. Because the Sword Saint had tried to stop the Crown Prince from unleashing the Dark Tide, the Crown Prince did not help him escape, and might have even killed him right there. The Ten Thousand Earth Saint was most likely killed by the Crown Prince for refusing to follow him as well.

As for the Little Qilin...

Jiang Fan scratched his head.

He still couldn’t figure out why the Little Qilin had been locked up in the Sumeru Divine Prison, or how he had warranted the same level of confinement as a Saint. He was even more baffled as to why the Crown Prince had killed two Saints in a row, yet deliberately spared the Little Qilin.

However, all the clues finally aligned!

Jian Qingmei’s speculation was correct. The Crown Prince of the Daqian Divine Kingdom was not dead! He had left the Sumeru Divine Prison and was actively driving forward an apocalyptic calamity that would destroy heaven and earth!

Where exactly was he hiding right now? Why was there no trace of him anywhere in the various heavens?

It would be best to discuss this matter with the Great Wine Sacrifice to see what they thought about it.

Suppressing the turbulent waves in his heart, Jiang Fan looked at Yuwei, who was as beautiful as a fairy stepping out of a painting. ”Since you’ve acquired a physical body, why don’t you come to Central Earth with us?” he suggested. ”Central Earth also has a Great State rich in Yin Qi, which is more than enough for you to live comfortably.”

Yuwei looked at Jiang Fan and gently shook her head. ”Thank you.

”The Tongyuan Realm Master won’t let me go free so easily.”

Jiang Fan understood. The Tongyuan Realm Master had placed a restriction on Yuwei.

”Is there anything I can do to help?” Jiang Fan asked.

Yuwei shook her head. ”It’s a Sealing that contains a trace of his own soul. If an outsider forcibly undoes it, it will alert him, and he will kill me from afar.

”He will never let anyone else possess someone he cannot have.”

Jiang Fan frowned. That sounded remarkably similar to the Sky Demon Emperor back in the day.

After pondering for a long time, he had no choice but to give up. ”If there’s an opportunity in the future, I will help you break it.”

He truly didn’t dare to casually tamper with a Saint’s methods. Otherwise, instead of saving her, he might end up getting her killed. If that happened, how would he explain it to Dharma Seal?

Yuwei smiled faintly, displaying a very rare look of amusement. ”Thank you.

”Dharma Seal is truly fortunate to have a friend like you in his destiny.”

Jiang Fan grinned. He and Dharma Seal could hardly be considered friends in the beginning. On the contrary, Dharma Seal had constantly chased after him, trying to convert him to the Buddhist Path.

Yuwei looked down at the Life Space Pocket. ”I should go,” she said, preparing to leave.

”Aren’t you going to say goodbye to him?” Jiang Fan asked.

Yuwei replied indifferently, ”I’ve already said everything that needed to be said. There’s no need for goodbyes.”

Then, she stepped into the Void. However, right before she left, she glanced at the broken half of the jade token in her hand. After a brief moment of hesitation, she tossed it to Jiang Fan.

”Consider this jade token a gift.

”Just like you, I don’t like owing favors.”

Jiang Fan was taken aback. ”If you give it to me, how are you going to explain yourself to the Tongyuan Realm Master when you get back?”

That guy was definitely not someone to be trifled with!

Yuwei countered, ”I didn’t give it to you.

”It was looted by the Dead Sound Pirates.”

Leaving behind a faint smile, she drifted away.

Jiang Fan stared blankly. Was she shifting the blame onto the Dead Sound Pirates? He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. After a moment of contemplation, he cupped his hands toward Yuwei’s departing figure and accepted the jade token.

The jade token alternated between cold and hot to the touch, as if two completely different forces were intertwined within it.

”Just what is this thing?” Jiang Fan muttered, brimming with curiosity. ”If the Tongyuan Realm Master determined it to be extraordinary, it must possess some tremendous use.”

But now was not the time to study it. Tossing it into his Storage Device, Jiang Fan released Dharma Seal.

Dharma Seal was still sitting cross-legged, silently chanting Buddhist Scripture, entirely oblivious to the changes in the outside world. Jiang Fan scoffed. He grabbed Dharma Seal by the chin and teased, ”I’m not that delicate Queen. I have plenty of methods and stamina.

”You little bald donkey, you’d better submit to this Empress right now.”

Only then did Dharma Seal slowly open his eyes. His gaze surged with Buddha Light, radiating the lucid wisdom of true Enlightenment. He smiled gently, stood up, and pressed his palms together. ”Pingtian greets Grand Martial Uncle.”

Jiang Fan burst into laughter. ”I almost forgot! I still hold the identity of the Yansheng Buddha.”

Dharma Seal smiled warmly. ”We finally meet again.”

Since parting ways in the Hell Realm Buddha Domain, they had assumed the universe was far too vast for their paths to ever cross again. Neither expected to encounter each other once more amidst the boundless Void. Jiang Fan was equally moved by the reunion. He didn’t have many friends, but Dharma Seal was definitely one of them.

Upon closer inspection, Jiang Fan was astonished to discover that Dharma Seal’s cultivation had become profoundly deep. With a sweep of his soul sense, Dharma Seal’s ambient Buddha Light was triggered, condensing into a Twenty-eight Leaf Golden Lotus.

Jiang Fan was shocked. ”You’ve already reached the realm of a Great Bodhisattva?”

Back then, the Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva had manifested a Twelve-leaf Golden Lotus, which was equivalent to the Heavenly Person Decline. A Twenty-eight Leaf Golden Lotus, on the other hand, meant that one’s cultivation had reached the Heavenly Human Five Declines, officially making them a Great Bodhisattva! This was a level that the Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva hadn’t even come close to reaching.

In just a few short months, Dharma Seal had miraculously broken through from the Heavenly Human Two Declines all the way to the Heavenly Human Five Declines! At this pace, he was almost catching up to Jiang Fan!

Dharma Seal smiled gracefully. ”Thanks to the Buddha Lord’s guidance, my Buddhist Law has reached Great Success.”

Jiang Fan suddenly understood. That made sense. After all, the Hell Realm Buddha Domain was a Supreme Buddha domain overseen by a true Buddha.

Dharma Seal had always possessed exceptional wisdom roots on the Buddhist Path. Other Vajras needed to meditate in silence under the Bodhi Tree for decades or even centuries to achieve the status of a Bodhisattva. But for Dharma Seal, all he needed was to experience the trials of the mortal world to attain Enlightenment and become a Bodhisattva.

Arriving at the Buddha Domain was like putting a fish back into water, completely unleashing his innate wisdom. Coupled with his close relationship with Jiang Fan—the Yansheng Buddha—the Buddha Domain would naturally spare no effort in nurturing him. His future realm certainly wouldn’t stop where it currently was.

Jiang Fan patted him on the shoulder and said with gratification, ”Going to the Hell Realm Buddha Domain was clearly the right move for you.”

Dharma Seal smiled. ”When Buddha is in one’s heart, where is there not a Buddha Domain?”

Jiang Fan rolled his eyes at him. ”If you only have Buddha in your heart, then why is Yuwei in there too?

”To think you actually chased her all the way from the Hell Realm to the Sumeru Divine Prison, even getting yourself captured by the Dead Sound Pirates for her sake.

”You hopeless simp!”

Dharma Seal simply smiled without a word, his eyes completely tranquil.

Seeing him dodge the subject, Jiang Fan’s expression gradually grew serious. ”Yuwei must have told you about the taboo of the You Mei Asura Lineage, right?

”The day she falls in love is the day she dies.

”There needs to be a clean break between the two of you.

”It would be good for her, and good for yourself.”

Dharma Seal replied calmly, ”Grand Martial Uncle, you worry too much.

”This poor monk does not cling to our mortal destiny.

”Not all flowers bloom for the sake of bearing fruit.

”All this poor monk seeks is to have someone to wish for when walking forward, and to have a lingering echo to reminisce upon when looking back.

”Whether it is the path I take to arrive, or the road I walk to leave, everything is aligned with my desires.”

Jiang Fan was stunned. ”You ask for nothing in return? You’re perfectly content just watching that person live a good life?

”Is it worth it?”

He couldn’t fathom such behavior. Love was supposed to be a two-way street. What was the point of one person holding on by themselves?

Dharma Seal looked into Jiang Fan’s eyes and spoke with profound meaning. ”When you love someone, you don’t ask whether it’s worth it or not.

”You only ask if you are willing or unwilling.

”Grand Martial Uncle... have you forgotten that there is also someone exactly like this right by your side?”
