Supreme Devouring God

Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Seizing Number 1!

”Azure Sky Sword Sect, who dares to battle me?!”

When Qin Chen’s words echoed throughout Thunder State Hall, the hall fell suddenly silent.

On the side of Azure Sky Sword Sect, Shee Gaoyun’s face turned the color of liver, terribly ugly.

You should know, just moments ago, he had been provoking the Thunder Sky Sect in the same way.

Now, with Qin Chen throwing his challenge back at him, he felt a sting in his face.

Faced with Qin Chen’s taunts, there was no response from the Azure Sky Sword Sect.

Azure Sky Sword Sect, no one dared to accept the challenge.

What a joke.

Liang Hongru had been defeated; who else could possibly contend with him?

”Elder Zang, I wonder if this surprise is sufficient?”

Qin Chen’s gaze suddenly shifted to Zang Qingyun.

Zang Qingyun’s face turned ashen, yet he was unable to retort.

At this moment, his mind also revisited a statement from Qin Chen three months ago.

”Three months from now, at the Sect competition, I must give your Azure Sky Sword Sect a tremendous surprise!”

Now, with Qin Chen’s Bloodthirsty Demon Blade pointed directly at Azure Sky Sword Sect, this felt even more painful than a slap in the face!

It was as if Qin Chen was pointing at him and scolding, yet he was unable to respond.

Swoosh!

Suddenly, Qin Chen slashed his blade, releasing a sword energy that cut through the air.

The precise location of Qin Chen’s Bloodthirsty Demon Blade was none other than Liang Hongru, who was lying unconscious on the ground!

”What are you doing?!”

Seeing this, Zang Qingyun and Duan Qingqian stared wide-eyed.

Splat!

Like a balloon being punctured, in the blink of an eye, Liang Hongru on the ground had his Dantian destroyed by Qin Chen!

Complete silence fell over the hall!

Everyone stared in disbelief.

Qin Chen’s expression was icy cold, showing not a hint of pity.

This wasn’t cruelty on his part.

Rather, if today it had been him who lost, Liang Hongru would have done the same to him!

Qin Chen had also warned Liang Hongru to leave himself a way out!

It was he who had severed his own retreat.

”You are seeking death!!”

Seeing his strongest disciple of Azure Sky Sword Sect disabled, Duan Qingqian exploded in anger.

He immediately shot up from his seat, intending to strike Qin Chen directly.

Boom!

However, at that moment, two figures flew from different directions and fiercely blocked Duan Qingqian.

”Duan Qingqian, rules are rules. Since we are in Thunder State Hall, you must follow the rules!”

The two who blocked Duan Qingqian were none other than Lei Shan and Saint Leitian.

At this moment, Lei Shan looked chillingly at Duan Qingqian, his eyes sending a clear warning.

Duan Qingqian gasped deeply, using this to vent his inner fury.

Duan Qingqian’s gaze fixed on Qin Chen, wishing he could tear him limb from limb.

Cultivating a genius like Liang Hongru had cost them unimaginable energy and resources.

To have him crippled by Qin Chen just like that, how could he not be furious?

”Those who do not offend me, I do not offend; those who offend me, I destroy tenfold!”

Qin Chen’s chilly demeanor caused the hearts of all present to skip a beat.

”I am a disciple of Thunder Sky Sect, who dares to battle me?!”

Qin Chen stood on the arena, looking down at all challengers with pride.

Qin Chen’s statement, also specifically pointing out that he was a disciple of Thunder Sky Sect, excited all the disciples of Thunder Sky Sect.

As his words fell, still no one dared to answer.

Overwhelming dominance!

Indescribable dominance!

Such is the superiority of strength!

”Thunder Sky Sect’s Qin Chen maintains his position in defense, scoring nine thousand eight hundred points, rank first!”

”In this Thunder State Sect competition, the first place goes to Thunder Sky Sect!”

Seeing no one daring to challenge, people from Thunder State Hall stepped out and declared Qin Chen to be ranked first.

”First place!”

”First place belongs to our Thunder Sky Sect!”

”We won! We took the crown!”

At this moment, witnessing this scene, an earth-shattering cheer erupted from the Thunder Sky Sect.

They had won!

They truly won!

Dominating the competition, bravely capturing the crown!

They, from the Thunder Sky Sect!

”Thunder Sky Sect, because of Qin Chen, feels supreme honor!”

Seeing the cheering and celebrating members of the Thunder Sky Sect, Saint Leitian was deeply moved.

Indeed, Qin Chen single-handedly aided the Thunder Sky Sect in achieving this peak moment!

The highest achievement of the Thunder Sky Sect since its establishment!

Once Qin Chen returned to the Thunder Sky Sect camp, a resounding cheer completely engulfed him.

A smile finally appeared on Qin Chen’s face.

Though the journey was arduous and very challenging, regardless, they had won!

From this point on, no one would likely dare to ridicule the Thunder Sky Sect again!

Up on the main seat, Yun Zhenhai, who had previously mocked Saint Leitian, didn’t dare meet Saint Leitian’s eyes, fearing that Saint Leitian might mock him in return.

Such a slap to the face! Nothing could be more humiliating than this!

...

Soon.

After Qin Chen, the second and third arena battles unfolded.

Because Qin Chen had severely injured Liang Hongru and others from the Azure Sky Sword Sect, the Azure Sky Sword Sect only managed to secure a third place in this sect competition!

Second place went to a sect called the Green Cloud Sect!

However, after the spectacular first battle, the second and third battles undoubtedly appeared less intriguing.

After all, the first battle was simply too stunning!

Thus, the sect competition of this session also came to a close.

”Here, let us congratulate Thunder Sky Sect for capturing the first place in this sect competition!”

Lei Shan walked to the center and spoke with a smile.

Upon finishing,

Thunderous applause erupted within Thunder State Hall.

Apart from the Azure Sky Sword Sect, the disciples of all other sects were thoroughly convinced!

Indeed, they clearly saw how this first place was obtained.

”Additionally, this also means that two years from now, the Thunder Sky Sect will represent our Thunder State in the entire Great Origin Dynasty’s... Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle!”

Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle?

Upon hearing this, Qin Chen was suddenly startled.

Almost everyone from the Great Origin Dynasty knew about the Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle!

The Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle occurred once every ten years!

In previous years, it was basically the Azure Sky Sword Sect representing Thunder State in the competition amongst the sects of the entire Great Origin Dynasty.

But this year, Qin Chen secured first place for the Thunder Sky Sect, naturally making it the representative sect of Thunder State.

The Great Origin Dynasty was vast.

Regions like Thunder State alone amounted to at least ten thousand!

If each region sent one sect, that would also mean over ten thousand sects participating!

Moreover, the sect sent from each region was the strongest of them all!

The confrontation amongst disciples of over ten thousand strongest sects!

What a grand spectacle it was!

Because of this, almost everyone in the Great Origin Dynasty knew about the Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle.

As strong as Qin Chen seemed now, he knew he was just a bottom of the well.

But fortunately, Qin Chen had two more years!

These two years, for Qin Chen, had to elicit a qualitative leap!

Only then might it be possible to secure a commendable position in that grand era watched by the entire dynasty.

”Further, this time during the Great Origin Dynasty’s Ten Thousand Sects Peak Battle, there will also be the presence of Great Powers from legendary sects within our Great Origin Dynasty to observe the battles.”

”That means, with a good performance, one could possibly earn their way into those legendary sects that are revered across the entire Great Origin Dynasty!”
