Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Although the group managed to get in with Yang Siqi’s help, Cheng Yi still lost face.

Xino’s bluntness made it clear to everyone that the only reason they had gotten into the tavern was thanks to Yang Siqi.

This undoubtedly made everyone think less of Cheng Yi, feeling she couldn’t measure up.

Before they came, she had insisted she could get everyone in, but in the end, they had to rely on Yang Siqi.

On the way in, Yang Siqi said to Cheng Yi with some embarrassment, ”I didn’t know she would be like that.”

”It’s fine, I understand.” Cheng Yi gave a wry smile. ’What a bitter pill to swallow!’

Cheng Yi had been right there when Yang Siqi was talking to Xu Yun, so she knew it wasn’t Yang Siqi’s fault.

Upon entering the tavern, the sudden arrival of such a large group piqued the curiosity of the other patrons, who all turned to look.

This was a members-only establishment, not some public bar with a constant flow of people. The regulars came here to relax. Besides being connected to Xi Wei, they mostly valued the peace, quiet, and privacy, knowing no one would disturb them while they chatted with friends.

Of course, it was also to show that their world was different from that of ordinary people.

The rich love nothing more than enjoying their privileges!

This is why people often describe two people from unequal classes by saying, ”We are people from two different worlds.”

After all, the places they frequented for daily chats and entertainment were completely different.

You might say there are no princesses in this world, but that’s only because you don’t know they’re all hidden away in private rooms.

The exceptionally beautiful women you rarely glimpse are a common, everyday sight for them.

Even though Xino was willful and on familiar terms with everyone, she still offered an explanation upon seeing their reactions. ”They’re my friends, just here to have some fun today. I’ll give them their own section so they won’t disturb you.”

It was rare for Xino to explain herself like that, so everyone was willing to indulge her and let it go.

However, someone teased with a laugh, ”Nuomi, when did you suddenly get so many friends? Does your brother know?”

”Her brother is probably clueless right now and on his way here.”

”Pei Ermao.”

Xino retorted, ”Do you want me to introduce your little mistress to your girlfriend?”

”Er, my apologies. I was wrong.” Upon hearing that, the man immediately shut his mouth.

Because she was absolutely capable of doing it—it wouldn’t be the first time!

After silencing the teasers, Xino had a waiter arrange their group in a section on the south side.

This was generally the area she liked to be in.

The regulars here all had their preferred spots. Though it wasn’t an official rule, they would always sit in the same seats and section every time they came.

Others wouldn’t just sit anywhere, either, unless a new member came in who didn’t know about this unspoken rule.

After getting everyone settled, Xino found Yang Siqi and Cheng Yi again.

It was her first time meeting Yang Siqi, and she found her very beautiful. As for Cheng Yi, she had seen her several times before; she was her brother’s secretary.

The two of them looked at the injured Xino, whose arm was in a sling, and felt somewhat awkward.

Yang Siqi said, ”Sorry for troubling you today.”

”Hello, Miss Xi,” Cheng Yi said with a smile. ”We’re sorry to have disturbed you.”

”It’s fine. It was no trouble at all.”

Xino gave Yang Siqi a meaningful look and said deliberately, ”Since my boyfriend, Xu Yun, asked, of course I had to help.”

”...”

The statement landed differently for Yang Siqi and Cheng Yi, but both were surprised.

Yang Siqi hadn’t expected the other woman to be Xu Yun’s girlfriend. Given her own relationship with Xu Yun, she couldn’t help but feel a little guilty as she looked at her.

’It felt like a mistress meeting the wife.’

Meanwhile, Cheng Yi realized that the Xu Yun Xino was talking about must have been the man who brought Yang Siqi to their boss’s office the other day. Beyond her surprise, something clicked into place for her.

’So he’s the boss’s little sister’s boyfriend. No wonder he can Do as You Please in front of the boss.’

’But if that’s the case, then the relationship between Yang Siqi and this Xu Yun...’

Cheng Yi thought of a certain possibility and stole a glance at Yang Siqi.

After deliberately pointing out her relationship with Xu Yun, Xino saw no obvious change in Yang Siqi’s expression and thought she might have been overthinking things. If there was nothing going on, all the better.

She smiled, ran through some of the rules with them—no photos, no loud noises, and so on—and then left.

Cheng Yi and Yang Siqi returned to their seats and told everyone to order whatever they wanted.

Everyone picked up the drink menus, their eyes widening at the frighteningly expensive prices. These were definitely not drinks an ordinary person could afford.

But since Cheng Yi was footing the bill today, they had no scruples.

The women each ordered their favorite cocktails, while the men ordered brandy, whiskey, and the like.

This included the two men and two women who had been badmouthing Yang Siqi in the car earlier.

They might curse her behind her back, but they were all smiles to her face. When it came to ordering, they didn’t hold back in the slightest, picking the most expensive items on the menu.

Afterward, everyone drank, chatted amongst themselves, and listened to the singer on stage.

The environment was elegant and atmospheric, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. The singers on stage weren’t famous, but their voices were surprisingly beautiful, easily rivaling those of professional stars.

After handling the task Xu Yun had given her, Xino wanted to call him and fish for some praise.

But when she called, no one answered!

Furious, she sat alone at the bar, drinking sullenly.

’Hmph. He only comes to me when he needs something, then ignores me afterward! That big jerk!’
