Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Actually, Xi Huai’an was overthinking it. He was just letting his imagination run wild.

Xu Yun hadn’t really thought that far ahead. It was true that he couldn’t resolve the trouble with Qin Xun as quickly as he would have liked on his own.

Because aside from his wealth, he didn’t have extensive political connections.

And that was something that would take time and money to establish and cultivate.

That was why he had sought out Xi Huai’an, who he believed had the ability to help him solve this problem.

Upon hearing Xi Huai’an agree to help, he naturally offered a reward that would be too tempting to refuse. It was a kind of quid pro quo, after all!

After all, the information he’d used to make such a tempting offer had been purchased from his system with money.

Otherwise, how could anyone have known that Xi Huai’an had secretly founded a tech company so far away in Shenzhen under Xino’s name?

This gave Xu Yun a profound appreciation for the saying about a clever rabbit having three burrows.

The two chatted for a while longer before Xu Yun stayed for dinner at Xino’s house. He then spent some time getting cozy with Xino in the garden before he left.

The moment Xu Yun and Xi Huai’an parted ways, they each picked up their phones and made their respective calls.

Not long after...

Under the city’s neon lights, two different police precincts suddenly launched surprise inspections!

Meanwhile, the director of Xi Huai’an’s branch in Shenzhen called him, exclaiming excitedly, ”President Xi, an investment firm from Hong Kong Island just contacted us! They said they’re willing to invest in our company.”

Xi Huai’an wasn’t surprised in the least. He knew Xu Yun had made his move.

He asked curiously, ”Did they say how much they’re willing to invest?”

”Their initial proposal is two billion.”

The director said excitedly, ”The exact amount and the investment methods will be discussed in detail when we meet in person.”

Xi Huai’an confirmed again, ”It’s really two billion?”

”Yes, that’s right. Two billion.”

The director added, ”We don’t have to go around soliciting investments anymore.”

Two billion!

This payback from Xu Yun caught him completely off guard!

On the other end, Xu Yun was on the phone with Fu Baoying again.

That evening, Fu Baoying was staying at No. 1 Bay in Shenzhen.

With ample funds at her disposal recently, her investment firm had successfully poached a large number of seasoned elites from the investment industry, completing the formation of her core team.

After getting the call from Xu Yun, she immediately had her team look into the company.

As it turned out, the company was already one of the investment targets they had been monitoring, so they were quite familiar with the details.

However, since the company was actively seeking financing for an IPO, Fu Baoying’s team had been waiting for the perfect moment to make their move and maximize their returns.

She never expected her boss to ask about it first.

After listening to her team’s market assessment of the company Xu Yun had mentioned, Fu Baoying called its director directly and offered a massive two-billion-dollar investment.

She could certainly afford it. Her assets had recently doubled thanks to a bold gamble in the stock market!

Her portfolio had shot up from five billion to eight billion.

Furthermore, on the second day after the National Day holiday, against the advice of all her employees, she had sold off her entire portfolio and pulled out of the A-share market.

And sure enough!

On the third day after the holiday, institutional investors began a massive sell-off, and the entire market turned into a sea of red!

That single move made Fu Baoying an overnight sensation on Hong Kong Island, putting her on the radar of many top-tier tycoons.

She also made a huge splash at the Horse Racing Club, forcing people who had previously looked down on her to take her seriously.

But just when everyone expected her to continue her streak in the stock market, she announced she was quitting it for good to focus solely on venture capital!

Immediately, countless projects and startups in need of funding began seeking her out, all hoping to secure an investment.

Although she had mentioned two billion, she never said she would give it to them all at once.

It was just an initial proposal, after all!

As for the actual investment strategy and how to secure the best returns, she still needed to ask for Xu Yun’s input.

So she called Xu Yun again.

”I’ve handled that matter for you.”

Fu Baoying said with a laugh, ”I’ve already agreed to a two-billion-dollar investment. Is that enough?”

”Two billion?”

Xu Yun laughed in surprise. ”You’re certainly generous. That’s enough to buy an entire publicly traded company!”

”But you’re the one who told me to invest a bit more.”

Fu Baoying laughed and retorted, ”What, are you feeling the pinch now?”

”I’m not feeling any pinch. I just didn’t expect you to be so generous.”

Xu Yun teased, ”I heard the market has been a sea of red lately. You didn’t get caught in the crash?”

”Nope, I got lucky.”

Fu Baoying said, ”I held on for one day after the holiday, then cleared out all my positions on the second day. I ended up making over three billion in total.”

”That incredible?”

Xu Yun asked, puzzled, ”The market was so hot. Why didn’t you get greedy and hold on for a few more days?”

”It wasn’t that. I was scared.”

Fu Baoying answered honestly, ”The rally was too insane. I didn’t dare stay in the game.”

”What was there to be afraid of? It’s all my money anyway.”

”But this was my one chance to make it.”

Fu Baoying said quietly, ”If I had lost it all, I really don’t think you would have kept bankrolling me!”

”That’s true enough.”

Xu Yun said, ”If you had really lost everything, I’d have just sent my men to drag you back. Then I’d make you work as a live-in maid for the rest of your life, washing clothes, cooking meals, and warming the bed for me and my other women.”

”Too bad for you, I’m not giving you that chance.”

Fu Baoying chuckled, then continued, ”Alright, back to business. I called to ask you how I should approach this company you mentioned?”
