Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1100: Divinity

”That is Divinity.” Mae paused for a moment. ”When you become a world class summoner, you have the power equal to that of a hero. You can slay dragons or mythical beings, and your legend will be spread around.

”I won’t tell you about the method to form your godhood because Master shouldn’t listen to it right now. Doing it prematurely will end up ruining your chance. At the same time, the one who has the quality, Miss Evelyn, has to fuse the two elements first. Having such a problem will stop you from succeeding.

”After the time is right, I will reveal the path itself or you might even figure it out yourself. This time, I’m talking about Divinity.

”Right now, you might be thinking about your power. For example, my master has a time element and unique bullets. Miss Evelyn has gravity and space elements, while Miss Vivian has a wood element.

”That is the limit of a human. To become a god, you have to turn this power into divinity. People often describe it as an authority. If you have Divinity of Thunder, it means you have absolute control over thunder.

”You have explored the extent of the power and goes beyond what’s possible. However, divinity doesn’t mean you have all the freedom over your power. It also has a restriction.

”For example, if you have Wood Divinity, you must be a person who loves wood. If that kind of person loves burning the forest, do you think that person is suitable for that divinity?

”No, right? This is the same. The stronger your restriction, the stronger your divinity will be. At the same time, it also means you have a limited area to explore.

”Let’s use me and Fenrir as a comparison. Fenrir’s divinity has a severe restriction, which is ’Strength.’ His strength is absolute, to the point where he might be able to devour the sun.

”On the other hand, my Divinity has weak restrictions. If I have to fight Fenrir myself, I will definitely lose. However, that also means my illusion can tap into a lot of things, such as elements, senses, and all other things.

”Anubis’ power is not as severe as Fenrir’s, but it still has a strong restriction. That’s why he has the ability to judge the dead and even heal the living.

”There is no right or wrong for divinity. You are the only one who knows what’s suitable for you.

”Look at the three of us. Fenrir might be stronger, but Anubis and I are more useful to our summoner. Of course, don’t tell Anubis that I told you guys Fenrir is stronger than him. He will definitely protest.

”Either way, you must have understood what Divinity is, right? If you are able to condense your Divinity, Miss Evelyn, you will probably be able to create a portal connecting the entire world.”

”!!!” Evelyn widened her eyes. ”Do you mean I can teleport to that continent?”

”Yes. Only if you condense your Divinity at the same level as us. In fact, teleporting the entire city is possible.”

Evelyn was taken aback. She had never thought her space element could be that strong.

Then, she remembered the story about the alien at the beginning of the invasion. ”Now that I think about it, there was an alien who created those portals, right? If not for that alien, our world wouldn’t have been invaded like this.”

Mae smiled. ”If you had said such a thing before I was summoned to this world, I probably would have gotten shocked as well.

”However, you might not know this, but we, divine beasts... No, even among all gods and goddesses, we are actually not true gods and goddesses.”

”!!!” Evelyn and Vivian were stupefied. After hearing about what Fenrir was capable of doing, they thought the divine beasts were an existence they could only revere.

After seeing their confused expressions, Mae added, ”Of course, we are considered gods and goddesses because we have condensed our divinity and formed our godhood.

”However, compared to the true gods and goddesses, we’re still pale in comparison.

”If you reach this point, you can create a portal connecting this world to another world, Miss Evelyn.”

Evelyn was shocked once again.

”Even I don’t know all the requirements to become a true god. Only several requirements, such as condensing one’s divinity and forming one’s godhood, and if we use this world’s system, it will be having at least 100,000,000 ena.”

”!!!” Evelyn looked at Vivian. Vivian shook her head. She came up with the classification because of Nathan.

She knew nothing about the classification being used as a requirement to become a true god.

Mae added, ”Of course, there might be other qualifications that we know nothing about. Anyway, these true gods are equivalent to the gods of aliens. They are mostly known as Outer Gods.

”Each god has a power beyond normal logic. And the one who created the portals to this world was one of the Outer Gods.”

Mae also knew one more qualification. Nathan had found it a long time ago, but they didn’t have any proof, so she didn’t say anything yet.

That requirement was none other than their evolution. Yes, all divine beasts had one evolution path remaining. By evolving one more time, they might be able to become true gods.

Unlike others, Mae’s evolution was a bit clearer than the others. She might be able to form her tenth tail, which would become the symbol of becoming a true god.

Still, there was no need to add the information that hadn’t been proven to avoid more confusion.

Since the topic had reached this point, Mae stepped back and winked at Nathan, telling him it was his turn.

Nathan stepped forward and explained, ”The one who created the portals to this world was one of the Outer Gods, called Yog-Sothoth.

”Meanwhile, the one we will meet, Cthulhu, is an octopoid Great Old One with enormous power. The Great Old Ones are a kind of loose pantheon of ancient, powerful deities.

”To put it simply, the Outer Gods are considered the most powerful. Meanwhile, the Great Old Ones are immensely powerful but ultimately lesser beings. From the description alone, they’re like Mae and the others with the true gods.”
