Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 986: Waiting for Return

”Now that I think about it, where is he? Arenʼt you staying with him, Captain?”

Evelyn shook her head calmly. ”No. I have stopped coming since two weeks ago. Heʼs already good enough to stay there.”

”Really? How strong has he become? Has he reached the arcane level? No way. He is still that young. Itʼs only been a year since he became a summoner. No matter how talented he is, thereʼs no way he can reach that level so quickly.

”Even our youngest, Sonia, hasnʼt reached the arcane level even though she is 20 years old right now, and sheʼs considered a genius. Meanwhile, Nathan is just 17 years old.” Revon pointed at Sonia.

”I donʼt know his current strength, but the last time I was with him, he had gotten extremely strong. Maybe, similar to Sonia in terms of ena? Well, he has learned a few things, so he might be stronger than Sonia right now.”

”Really?” Sonia was dumbfounded. A few months ago, she still remembered Nathan couldnʼt do anything when her dagger was in his throat.

Without her realizing it, Nathan had actually become stronger than her.

Evelyn shrugged. ”Well, if you are focusing on getting more and more ena every single day, itʼs bound to happen. However, itʼs also thanks to his familiars, who are extremely strong on their own.

”Either way, he will be back soon. Iʼll just give him a message regarding this attack.”

”So, what will we do now? Just wait?” Revon tilted his head. ”I just want to crush their heads.”

”Of course not.” Evelyn turned to Bella.

Bella had a smug smile. ”Donʼt worry. I have made a plan this time. Of course, we need to wait before attacking them, but we wonʼt just be idle.

”Sonia. You should go to those girls on Nathanʼs side and tell them about this information. Hmm, maybe just tell Selena about it. She is their leader anyway.”

”Huh? Why should I?” Sonia was bewildered. They were outsiders, so it would be wise not to tell them about it even if they were with Nathan.

”Weʼve made a deal with Nathan. You should be aware that the Divine Hand is not everything. To find the place where those people come from, we need him. In exchange, weʼve agreed to let these girls get involved with the Divine Hand. Itʼs just the Divine Hand, not the people behind them.”

Sonia was still unconvinced, but she ultimately nodded her head. ”Fine.”

”After you inform them, go back to your usual post and observe their movement. Considering the location of their attack, itʼs clear that theyʼre using their agents to observe the impacts. Once they understand how it will impact the world, they will launch a bigger attack.”

”Understood.” Sonia nodded.

Once Sonia left, Revon said, ”You guys are so good to Nathan. Is he that important?”

”The information he has is very important. Once we take down the Divine Hand, I will explain everything in detail.” Evelyn assured Revon personally.

Revon sighed. ”If you say so. I guess weʼll be relying on him. I just donʼt want this group to be too reliant.”

”I understand that, but this groupʼs purpose remains the same. Itʼs to kill those who caused the bloody banquet. After that, the Sleeping Garden is no more.” Evelyn shrugged.

Bella agreed. ”Either way, your mission is pretty simple this time, Revon. Do you know the reason we agreed to get those girls involved?”

”Hmm?” Revon pondered for a moment before shaking his head.

”The reason is simple. Itʼs because of their connection. I doubt people like the Dragon King will get involved, but the Holy Kingdom and the Frexia Academy once worked together to fight against this Divine Hand.

”Sage Leyfon or the Pope wouldnʼt get involved directly, according to Nathan, but it would be different with the royal family.

”They have produced the medicine that could dissolve the aliens inside oneʼs body before they blossom. Alerting them is the same as alerting the royal family, and because the current attack happened in the Liaystian Kingdom, only that kind of family can get involved in another kingdomʼs affair.

”Weʼll reduce the casualties that way and swiftly defeat them. Besides, a small organization like us wonʼt be able to stop everything going on all around the world, so let them deal with those threats while we directly handle the Divine Hand.”

”…” Revon finally nodded. ”Make sense. So, what am I supposed to do?”

”Your mission is pretty simple right now. With these elites getting involved, I want you to monitor the situation and see if anyone near the alien border receives the impact from this incident.

”Because theyʼre fusing a human and an alien, I donʼt know how the alien will react, so if you stop them, we can get some stability and ensure nothing goes wrong.”

”Sounds easy enough. My specialty is my fist either way. You better pick me up when weʼre going to kill those bastards.”

”Of course.”

Revon then stood up and casually waved his hand as he walked toward the teleportation circle.

Bella turned to Evelyn. ”The situation is getting serious, isnʼt it?”

”Yeah. I asked Nathan about it last time. He seems to be using the people from the royal family as bait. Right now, it looks like alerting those girls will allow them to come to the Liaystian Kingdom.

”They will provide the information to the royal family. Once more and more cases appear, they will get involved directly and fight them.

”If those girls get targeted, they will deal with them. From the looks of it, Nathan doesnʼt want to just rely on these two outside agents. Heʼs planning to lure out more people from the organization.”

Bella squinted her eyes. ”It sounds like Nathan doesnʼt trust their information, so he wants to lower their guard and secure or compare their information.”

”Essentially. Give the mouse the milk, and they will come for the cheese.”

”Well…” Bella nodded in understanding. ”If thatʼs the case, you should get ready, Evelyn. I will tell Neyeid to march toward that city to get him involved as a ʼmerchant.ʼ He might become the bait to lure them out as well.

”I will ask Christopher to accompany him.”

”Sounds good enough. In that case, I will send the message to Nathan.” Evelyn stood up, searching for an empty piece of paper.
