Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 845: Layfonʼs Analysis

Without any warrior class aliens, the rest of the aliens stood no chance against Selena and the others.

Noelle and Alavenya helped Flora take down the aliens on their side and started sweeping the rest of the aliens from Risaʼs side and gradually made their way toward the opposite direction.

Still, it was quite surprising how Selena was able to hold back thousands of aliens by herself. It was true that Sera helped her, but she just amplified her power and Brunhild only took the side Risa had almost wiped.

The battle against these aliens actually lasted three times longer than the battle against the mutant, simply due to their number. They had to ensure that every single alien died so that there wouldnʼt be any ambush when they were extracting their cores.

They definitely used too much of their ena, though. Most of them had exhausted their ena.

For Flora and the others, they never thought they could turn around the situation and wipe all these aliens out. It was shocking. They expected Nathan would plan for escape.

They knew the biggest reason for their victory was Nathanʼs absolute ice element. If not for that trump card, they would have been in a bigger mess. It was thanks to the ice element that they could kill two warrior class aliens right away, and he even personally stopped the mutant by himself.

For Selena, it was a given. She had seen what Nathan was capable of and was probably the one who trusted him the most.

However, the one shocked the most by the result was not the girls. It was Layfon.

”Impossible. What is this? Did they just… win?” Layfon gasped. ”I mean, winning is good, but it should be impossible for them to win.

”They fought ten warrior class aliens and one mutant along with several thousand aliens. If I lead such a team, I will surely lose. Yet they…”

Layfon was lost for words. How was he supposed to report this? Even Sullivan might not believe what he reported. Although each of them was capable of dealing with a warrior class alien, the presence of a mutant was equal to at least four warrior class aliens, if not more.

It was also intelligent enough to launch a surprise attack and abnormal enough to utilize a special ability. That was right. The reason Nathan and the others exhausted their ena was partially due to the special ability of the alien. It forced them to use their ena to protect their brain from that special ability, which ultimately drained their ena the longer they fought.

”According to Sir Sullivan, only an elite class alien would have a special ability. However… didnʼt he say he encountered a group of aliens with special abilities? And they werenʼt even high-level aliens.

”And there was this mutant. Well, I could somehow understand it since this one was a mutant, but still…”

Layfon scratched the back of his head. ”If I have to say, the reason for this victory lies completely on that absolute ice.

”Does he really have an absolute ice element? I have seen countless people with powerful elements, but thereʼs only one person in this world who has an absolute element right now.

”Heʼs the most powerful magician serving the Liaystian Kingdomʼs royal court, Flame Emperor Gran.

”What if they know his absolute ice? I think the Liaystian Kingdom will spare no effort in getting him.

”I have to protect this secret… But at the same time, I also have to report this finding to Sir Sullivan.”

He didnʼt know whether Sullivan actually knew about the absolute element or not. But if he didnʼt, he would most likely send this information to the king.

Layfon scratched the back of his head. ”I donʼt know what theyʼre trying to get from Sir Sullivan, but based on this fight alone, I would have to let them pass the trial.

”Now that I think about it, thereʼs one thing they have done that I think is the most special. I donʼt know if itʼs a coincidence or not, but Her Highness Flora has been conserving her ena.

”She has been fighting together with either Nathan or Alavenya. With their overwhelming ability, Her Highness Flora should still have around 30% ena left.

”She is the only one who hasnʼt completed the individual task, but I donʼt think itʼs hard for her with that amount of ena.

”Itʼs impossible to recover all their ena in a single night. At their level, they can probably recover about 40% of their ena in a day. Thatʼs why if Her Highness Flora emptied out her ena in this battle, she might not be able to defeat a warrior class alien tomorrow.

”Yet the arrangement was pretty clear. It was as if they were trying to conserve her ena in the whole battle. No, wait. Did Selena also notice this when she sent her together with Noelle and Alavenya? If Her Highness Flora remained there, she would have to spend all her ena to hold back those thousands of aliens.

”Even amidst all that attack, did they think about all that?” The more he thought about it, the more absurd it got. He simply couldnʼt believe the team was able to perform on that level while still considering what came next.

”Nathan has an absolute ice element, good leadership, and is able to think ahead. Selena has the highest firepower among them. She is like the second-in-command and able to utilize similar tactics that Nathan uses. While itʼs not perfect, her strategic thinking is already similar to mine.

”Her Highness Flora is an all-rounder. She can do everything and is suitable for any role. She is the one filling the hole in every situation. Her Holiness Sera is the support of the team. Thereʼs also that demon… his magic is unusual but somehow extremely effective.

”Meanwhile, Alavenya and Noelle are extremely good at combat. They can be considered the vanguard of the group.”

Layfon thought for a moment. ”Iʼd like to give them a pass, but I have to get an answer for my doubt first.”
