Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 556: Chapter 367: Destiny Law (Part 2)

”Rest assured, everyone. Everything is fine!”

Zhao Wenliang entered the cell to inspect Li Jikong, then checked the Eco-Celestial Prison’s information panel. ”This time around,” he said, ”the Eco-Celestial Prison absorbed a great deal of Eco Energy!”

Lu Datong said, ”It seems no matter what kind of vile evil it is, nothing can break the bonds of the Celestial Prison!”

Tang Xian added, ”This Li Jikong fellow isn’t dead yet. We can’t be sure if there’s still something sinister lurking inside him. We must keep him under strict surveillance!”

The three Prison Chiefs exchanged glances, then huddled together to discuss the matter in hushed tones.

They were the administrators of the Eco-Celestial Prison, personally appointed by Wang Yi through his Divine Techniques. They could view the Eco-Celestial Prison’s information and perceive its subtle changes.

A moment later, the three reported their findings to Fish-Transformed Dragon and Hai Zhongxian and awaited their instructions.

Hai Zhongxian and Fish-Transformed Dragon served as the Factory Director of the Eastern Depot and the Supervisor of the Western Depot, respectively.

Originally, Wang Yi had intended for the Eastern Depot to handle internal affairs and the Western Depot to handle external ones. However, Wang Yi had long since stopped managing the territory’s day-to-day business, allowing both depots to develop unchecked. Now, the Eastern Depot was more aligned with the Eco-Castle, while the Western Depot was closer to the Military Affairs Office. In essence, they had come to serve the territory’s civil and military branches, respectively.

Fish-Transformed Dragon and Hai Zhongxian conferred briefly but could only retreat for the time being. They did, however, use a Sound Transmission Grass to give a full report of the incident in the Celestial Prison to both the Eco-Castle and the Military Affairs Office.

Over the next few days, Fish-Transformed Dragon and Hai Zhongxian led a team to interrogate Li Jikong daily. Li Jikong, who had awoken on the second day, held nothing back, laying bare all of his experiences inside the Mad Secret Realm.

According to him, when the Mad Secret Realm last opened 400 years ago, he had entered it and encountered a Black Buddha within the Great Dream Divine Map. That Black Buddha called itself the Master of the Heart, took him in as a disciple, and bestowed many boons upon him.

However, Li Jikong also understood that the Master of the Heart was extremely dangerous and had not genuinely taken him as a disciple, but had instead planted a Spiritual Mark within his body for some ulterior purpose.

Now that the Spiritual Mark had vanished from his body, he felt as if a time bomb had been defused. He was immensely relieved. Though still confined to a cell, his spirits were high.

Furthermore, Li Jikong had learned of the existence of the Destiny Law from the roars of the Master of the Heart. It was this very Destiny Law that had erased the Spiritual Mark from his body, saving him from the Master of the Heart’s control and preventing his descent into a Mad God.

Li Jikong passed this information on in great detail as well.

When Wang Yi’s consciousness once again descended into his Divine Body and he learned of Li Jikong’s situation, he couldn’t help but marvel. ’The Nine-Nine Venerable Dragon Vein really came in the nick of time. It automatically formed the Destiny Law? And the Destiny Law can affect the Spiritual Law? If not for this Dragon Vein, would the Black Buddha have successfully launched a Mind Invasion through Li Jikong? I still can’t let my guard down.’

「On this day」

Wang Yi, acting through Wang Pingyi, personally went to see Li Jikong. After a brief chat, he then went to meet with the three Eco-Dominators.

These three Eco-Dominators were none other than the Monkey King, the Fighting Divine Buddha, and the Wukong Daoist.

Their levels had all risen, and as Eco-Dominators, their powers had been significantly enhanced.

Wang Yi had hoped to learn about the Destiny Law from them, but unfortunately, even they—Eco-Dominators who were aware of every change within the eco-territory—could not perceive it. They were even completely oblivious to the existence of the Nine-Nine Venerable Dragon Vein.

’Even with the Destiny Law’s protection, the threat of Mind Invasion isn’t gone. The Mad Secret Realm must be connected to the former Divine Country of the Mind. To eliminate all potential threats, I have to get inside, find the true Master of the Heart, or destroy the Black Buddha. But the Mad Secret Realm is closed now. Do I really have to wait 400 years for it to open again before I can go in...?’

Wang Yi shook his head. He then shifted his consciousness, descending into his Divine Body, Wang Zhenmo.

He went to see Ancestral Master Miaoshan Sun Miaoshan!

Sun Miaoshan had experienced a Mind Invasion before. Though he had been utterly defeated, the man had once ”achieved Buddhahood,” making him a formidable figure nonetheless.

Wang Yi spoke with him for several hours, gaining a much deeper understanding of Mind Invasions.

He also concluded that the Black Buddha who had launched the Mind Invasion that wiped out Sun Miaoshan and all his followers was probably not the same one from the Great Dream Divine Map. Though they shared a common origin, their auras and power levels were different.

”If I’m not mistaken, the Black Buddha that once destroyed me has since passed into nirvana and transformed into this!”

At this, Sun Miaoshan pointed to the Mind Relic.

”I once attained Buddhahood and gained mastery over certain karmic techniques. Now, I feel an ever-stronger karmic connection to this relic. If the Black Buddha from all those years ago truly did pass into nirvana, leaving only this relic behind, then I’m afraid...”

Sun Miaoshan trailed off, shaking his head and falling silent.

Wang Yi asked, ”Afraid of what?”

”It feels like a cycle, and who knows if someone is pulling the strings from behind the curtain. I get the feeling it’s best for small-time Players like us not to dig too deep.”

Hearing this, Wang Yi fell into a long silence before finally saying, ”You’re right. We’re just minor Players, after all. What’s the point in worrying so much?”

「One day later」

Wang Yi’s consciousness returned to his original body.

’Let’s see... by now, the Secret Treasures in the old castle shop should have refreshed. Tsk, tsk. Li Mingyu and Emperor Tathagata still haven’t shown up. What a pair of laggards!’

Muttering to himself, Wang Yi got up. A moment later, he entered the old castle shop once again.

Sure enough, the Secret Treasures had refreshed. There were three of them again, titled [Cosmic Robe], [Sixth Element], and [Classic of Mountains and Seas]!

”The Classic of Mountains and Seas?” Wang Yi raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed on the Secret Treasure page. ’This has to be different from the *Classic of Mountains and Seas* I’m familiar with,’ he thought. ’Since it’s a Secret Treasure from the Fourth Ark, it must be something extraordinary. This is the one, then!’

Wang Yi made his decision in an instant. He used his Treasure Exchange Coupon to redeem the [Classic of Mountains and Seas].

[Classic of Mountains and Seas: Special Tool, Special Item. Ark Priest ???. During a long journey, cataloged eighty-one mountains and eighty-one seas???]

A colossal book appeared before Wang Yi. Its cover was taller than a man and seemed to be cast from some special metal, emitting a faint, purplish metallic sheen.

Its Attribute Information was incomplete, so its exact function was unclear. Wang Yi opened the book and was met with a passage written in the Ancient Divine Language. After reading it carefully, he surmised that eighty-one mountains and eighty-one seas were sealed within this Classic of Mountains and Seas!

The one who had sealed these mountains and seas—or rather, the one who created this Classic of Mountains and Seas—was some great power from the Fourth Ark. He was an Ancient God Player, but his specific name was unknowable.

’There are eighty-one mountains and eighty-one seas in this book? My goodness... I have the Commanding Mountains and Rivers Divine Techniques and once dreamed of becoming a Mountain and River Collector. I never imagined a Mountain and Sea Collector already existed!’

Wang Yi was filled with curiosity and continued to study the book. The pages of the Classic of Mountains and Seas were made of some unknown, incredibly heavy material. With great effort, he turned the first page and laid eyes on the first mountain cataloged within.

This mountain was named Aolai Mountain!

As the page turned, starlight flashed forth, manifesting an image of Aolai Mountain in mid-air.

At the same time, Wang Yi heard the Ancient Divine Language being spoken.

The voice was introducing Aolai Mountain. Although Wang Yi had mastered a fair bit of the language, he couldn’t understand everything. From what he could gather, the voice first described Aolai Mountain’s original location. Then, it spoke of the mountain’s peculiar nature. It seemed to be an artificial mountain, containing a bizarre and powerful force. This force allowed it to absorb the essence of the sun and moon, the Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy, and even Cosmic Energy, which it then condensed into Five-Colored Elemental Spirit Stones at its summit.

However, it offered no explanation as to what these Five-Colored Elemental Spirit Stones were or what they could be used for.

Wang Yi continued his examination and discovered the page was like a mirror, containing a vast space within. Aolai Mountain was stored inside, shrunk down to a miniature scale, much like his own Bonsai World. It looked like a floating Immortal Mountain, its forests lush with Spiritual Flowers and Exotic Herbs, and teeming with countless Spirit Beasts and Spirit Birds.

’Forget about how amazing this Aolai Mountain is for a moment... since it’s a mountain, can I refine it and absorb it into my body?’

Once the thought appeared in Wang Yi’s mind, it became an obsession. Unfortunately, the peak of Hundred Battle Mountain had spatial restrictions. He couldn’t release Aolai Mountain there, which meant he couldn’t attempt the Refinement on the spot.
