Strongest Incubus System

Damon ascended the mansion’s stairs with calm steps, the wooden treads creaking softly under the controlled weight of his body as the warm light from the lanterns attached to the walls accompanied his way to the second floor. The upper hallway was silent, quieter than anywhere else on the property at that time of night, as if the entire house were slowly breathing after a day full of movement and conversation. He passed several closed doors, each leading to guest rooms or rarely used private rooms, until finally reaching the room that had been prepared for him.

Upon entering, Damon closed the door behind him with a simple movement and walked slowly through the interior of the room. The room was spacious, decorated with the same understated elegance as the rest of the mansion. A large bed occupied the center of the room, with light curtains attached to dark wooden posts. A writing desk sat near the window, and a tall wardrobe occupied one of the walls. The soft light of a lamp had already been lit by a servant before his arrival, illuminating the space with a comfortable yellowish glow.

Damon let out a small sigh as he removed the outer layer of his clothing and placed it on a nearby chair. It had been a long day. The journey, the fight with Ingrivid, the conversation with Morgana, and everything they were planning for the next day still swirled slowly in his mind.

But before anything else, he needed a bath.

He walked to the small side door that led to the private bathroom in the room. Inside, a large stone bathtub was already partially filled, and hot steam slowly rose from the heated water that the servants had prepared beforehand.

Damon entered the room and closed the door behind him.

He finished removing the rest of his clothes with tranquil movements before immersing himself in the hot water, slowly sinking into the tub until only his upper chest and shoulders remained above the surface. The warmth of the water immediately enveloped his body, relaxing the muscles that had been tense during the training with Ingrivid earlier.

For a few moments, he simply closed his eyes.

The silence in the bathroom was profound, broken only by the occasional sound of water gently lapping against the bathtub stone.

Then something happened.

A small blue glow appeared in the air before him.

It was faint at first, almost imperceptible, like a slight distortion in the lamplight reflected on the water’s surface. But within seconds, that distortion organized itself into clear lines of text floating in the air.

[Reconnected.]

Damon slowly opened one eye.

He stared at the message for a few seconds without really reacting much. His face remained almost completely neutral as he observed those bright letters hovering before him as if they were something completely normal.

After a few seconds, he let out a low sigh.

”It doesn’t matter.”

His voice echoed softly in the small bathroom space.

He rested his head against the edge of the tub, crossing his arms casually as the water still released steam around his body.

”You just don’t work.”

The blue interface remained floating in the air.

Then another line of text appeared below the first.

[Update completed after upgrading race to Vampire]

Damon opened his other eye this time, looking directly at the new message.

There was a brief silence.

Then he sighed again, this time a little longer.

”Never mind.”

He moved one hand slowly through the hot water, creating small waves that reflected the lamplight against the stone walls.

”You still don’t do anything useful.”

For a few seconds, nothing changed.

Then the interface flashed again.

A new line appeared.

[Version 2.0 - Entered update.]

Damon observed this without much emotion.

”Sure.”

He raised an eyebrow slightly as another small information window appeared below.

[Time remaining: 28:12:23]

Damon stared at the number for a few seconds.

Then he let out a small, low laugh.

”Perfect.”

He sank a little deeper into the warm bathwater, leaving only his face above the surface as he closed his eyes again.

”Keep updating.”

His voice sounded lazy, almost amused.

”Maybe this time you’ll actually do something.”

The blue interface remained there for a few seconds, silent, displaying only the update countdown timer.

28:12:21

28:12:20

28:12:19

Damon didn’t seem particularly interested in following along.

After a few moments, the interface disappeared completely, as if it had dissolved into thin air.

The bathroom became silent again.

Only the steam from the hot water still filled the space as Damon remained relaxed in the bathtub, letting the warmth slowly relieve the weight of the day.

Somewhere deep in his mind, however, he couldn’t help but feel a little curious.

Version two point zero.

He opened one eye again for a moment.

”Let’s see if you’re any good this time.”

Then he closed his eye again.

The night was far from over.

Damon remained in the bathtub for some time after the system interface disappeared, letting the warmth of the water slowly relieve the accumulated fatigue in his muscles. The steam continued to rise gently around him, filling the small bathroom with a light mist that made the lamp’s light diffuse and tranquil. His thoughts still drifted slowly through the day’s events, but now without the urgency that had previously accompanied them.

After a few minutes, he finally opened his eyes again and moved.

The water rippled gently as he rose from the bathtub, droplets slowly trickling down his skin as the steam dissipated around his body. Damon picked up a thick towel that had been left folded on a small wooden bench beside the wall and began to dry his body with calm, unhurried movements.

The silence of the mansion was still profound.

When he finished, he took a dark bathrobe hanging on a hook near the door and put it on, adjusting the fabric around his body with a simple movement before tying the belt at his waist. The fabric was soft and comfortable, and still held a faint scent of soap used by the house servants.

Damon then left the bathroom and returned to the master bedroom.

For a moment he stood still in the middle of the room, observing the silent space around him. The lamp still softly illuminated the room, casting long shadows on the wooden walls.

He let out a small, almost amused sigh.

”Right.”

The memory of Morgana’s teasing wink immediately returned to his mind.

Damon walked to the bedroom door and opened it.

The second-floor hallway was even quieter now. Most of the servants had probably already retired to their own quarters, and the entire mansion seemed immersed in that profound tranquility that only emerged in the middle of the night.

He walked down the hallway with light steps, the fabric of his robe moving smoothly with each movement.

It wasn’t long before he reached Morgana’s bedroom door.

Damon raised his hand.

And knocked twice on the wood.

The sound echoed softly down the hallway.

There was a brief silence.

Then her voice came from the other side of the door.

”Come in.” The answer came out calmly, but there was a slight hint of anticipation there.

Damon opened the door.

And entered.

For a very brief moment, he simply stood still after crossing the threshold.

Morgana’s room was lit by several candles scattered around the room, far more than necessary to simply illuminate the space. The warm light created a soft and intimate atmosphere, reflecting off the light fabrics of the bed curtains and the polished surfaces of the furniture.

But that wasn’t what caught Damon’s attention.

It was Morgana.

She was near the bed.

Clearly waiting.

And clearly... prepared.

The outfit she wore now was completely different from the elegant dress she had worn earlier during the conversation about Arven Manor. The dark fabric contrasted with the warm candlelight while outlining her body with a confidence that left no doubt about her intentions.

Black lingerie hugged her curves with provocative elegance, while the long stockings held up by the garter belt created delicate lines along her legs. Her hair, which had been partially tied back during the day, now fell loose over her shoulders, gently framing her face.

Morgana was leaning slightly against the side of the bed when he entered.

And she was smiling.

It wasn’t a shy smile.

It was a confident smile.

She slowly crossed her arms in front of her body, tilting her head slightly as she watched his reaction.

”It took you long enough.”

Her voice carried a playful tone.

Damon was still standing near the door, observing the scene for a few seconds.

Then he let out a small, low laugh.

”I was starting to think you were exaggerating when you mentioned the clothing store.”

Morgana arched an eyebrow with a mischievous glint in her eye.

”And I was starting to think you weren’t coming.”

Damon took a few steps into the room now, closing the door behind him with a calm movement.

The candlelight reflected softly on the dark fabric of the robe he was wearing.

”You really planned all this.”

Morgana gave a small, slow twirl, as if showing off the result of her own planning.

”You have no idea.”

She stopped again in front of him, a few steps away.

”I had a long day.”

Damon tilted his head.

”I noticed.”

She shrugged slightly.

”So I thought I deserved... to relax a little.”

His smile widened slightly.

”That’s an interesting definition of relaxation.”

Morgana took another small step forward now, closing the distance between them.

The candlelight reflected softly in her eyes.

”Are you complaining?”

Damon looked at her for a few seconds before answering.

”Not at all.”

Her smile became even more satisfied at hearing this.

”Great.”

She slowly raised a hand and touched the fabric of his robe with her fingertips.

”Because I really wouldn’t have the patience to wait any longer.”
