Strongest Incubus System

The room was warmed only by the fireplace, and the crackling of the fire seemed to match the atmosphere that was building there.

Damon sat in the center of the sofa, leaning back comfortably, his body relaxed—but his eyes attentive, almost shining. It wasn’t often that he allowed the world to catch him off guard... but the scene before him was worth that weakness.

Aria was the first to approach, practically gliding towards him like a cat that knew exactly where she was adored. She sat sideways on his left leg, her hands resting lightly on his chest, her smile so radiant it lit up the entire room.

”You got up early, love.”

Damon raised an eyebrow. ”Calling me love? That’s a new one.”

’Could that... no, the system doesn’t interfere with their feelings, it only amplifies them,’ Damon thought.

On the other side, Ester hesitated—for long, precious seconds. She looked at Aria, looked at Damon, looked at the sofa as if she were about to commit a war crime. But Aria was already smiling that mischievous smile that made her blush.

”Come on, come on,” Aria sang, swinging her foot. ”Don’t play hard to get.”

Ester narrowed her eyes.

”I don’t play hard to get.”

Damon interrupted with a simple gesture, touching her hip—and then the resistance ended. He gently pulled her, making her slide onto his right leg, also sitting sideways, her cheeks flushed to her ears.

”D-Damon... this is... too close...”

”Exactly where you should be,” he replied without the slightest shame.

Aria let out a satisfied giggle.

Ester bit her lip—and tried to get up, of course. A predictable... and futile attempt.

Damon gripped her waist, preventing any escape.

”Oh no. You’re not going anywhere.”

Her expression oscillated between indignation and pure internal combustion.

”This is embarrassing...” she muttered, avoiding looking at him.

”It’s cozy,” Aria corrected. ”And you know you like it.”

Ester turned her face so quickly that her ponytail almost whipped the air.

”YOU’RE the one who likes this indecency! You... you... shameless pervert!”

Aria tossed her hair back proudly.

”Yes. So what?”

”So what— so— that I’ll turn you into an ice cube if you keep talking shit!”

Aria leaned dangerously forward, until she was almost nose to nose with her.

”I doubt it.”

”DOU-VE-S?”

The air around Ester’s hand began to get cold. Very cold.

When she pointed her finger at Aria, a thin, translucent layer of ice spread across the redhead’s arm—not enough to hurt, but enough to tingle.

Aria watched her own skin freeze with the utmost tranquility—and giggled.

Then, she snapped her shoulder back and broke the ice as if she were breaking plaster.

”Mm. Refreshing.”

Ester stood motionless for exactly three seconds.

Then she exploded:

”ARIIIAAAA!!!”

Damon thought it best to intervene before someone froze the whole house.

He put an arm behind each of them, pulling them both a little closer. Their shoulders touched because of it—which made Ester’s eyes widen and Aria let out a satisfied purr.

”Hey,” Damon murmured, his voice low and firm. ”You don’t need to fight.”

And the two of them, despite everything, looked at him.

He took a deep breath, a slow, deep breath.

And spoke with the frankness he never used—the frankness that only came out when he was with the two of them.

”I love you both.”

Aria froze—ironically the only one there who didn’t use ice.

Ester froze too—but for very different reasons.

Damon continued, without looking away:

”Both of you. No matter how much you argue, provoke, or try to drive me crazy. I want you here. With me.”

Silence.

Aria was the first to compose herself, of course.

A smile full of intent appeared slowly, very slowly, on her lips.

”Did you hear that, little princess?”

She poked Ester’s cheek. ”He loves us. Together. It almost sounds like an erotic dream—”

Damon ran his hand over her mouth before she finished.

”None of that now.”

Aria bit his palm in response—not hard, but enough to provoke.

Ester finally breathed.

When she spoke, her voice was lower than a whisper.

”You... don’t know what you’re saying.”

”Yes, I do,” Damon replied immediately. ”You two are everything I want around me.”

Ester looked away, red to her core.

Aria rested her head on his chest, content.

The fire crackled in the fireplace.

The whole world seemed to breathe with them.

And Damon, holding tightly to his two disastrous, wonderful, explosive girls—an insufferable tease and a proud sorceress who melted easily—realized there was no better place to be.

No greater danger.

No more dangerous happiness.

Because having two women on your lap was one thing.

But loving them both... Ah, that could destroy the world.

The fireplace crackled louder as Aria settled into Damon’s lap, resting her chin on his shoulder, still with that mischievous smile only she could pull off.

”Speaking of destroying the world...” she began, playfully touching the collar of his shirt. ”Looks like it’s today, huh?”

Damon raised an eyebrow.

”What?”

”The event,” Aria replied, lightly patting his chest as if it were obvious. ”The clandestine auction. The black market in the ruins. The very one that left the duchess almost tearing her hair out.”

Ester, still sitting rigidly on his other leg, immediately closed her expression—the mention of the event erased all shame, replacing it with cautious tension.

”Today?” She straightened her back. ”Are you sure?”

Aria nodded.

”Yes. The full moon is today. And these meetings only happen on that exact day, in the right cycle of the ruins’ underground. Besides...”

She reached out and lightly flicked the envelope on the table.

”It’s written in the letter too. There’s no way to get it wrong.”

Ester frowned, her expression growing increasingly serious.

”So... it’s today.”

Damon exhaled slowly.

He knew this moment would come—they had been preparing for it ever since he stole the letter.

But hearing Aria say it aloud... made it all more real.

More dangerous.

Closer.

”I’ll go,” Damon finally said, his voice low and firm, without a trace of hesitation.

Aria smiled.

Ester stared at him like someone looking at a suicidal person.

”You have to go,” Ester corrected. ”But I doubt it’s as simple as going in, looking, and leaving.”

Aria rested her arm on Damon’s shoulder and crossed her legs, comfortably and clearly enjoying the tension in the air.

”Honestly? He doesn’t have a clue what he’s looking for.”

Damon chuckled briefly.

”I really don’t.”

”And he doesn’t have any money either,” Aria added, pointing at him as if revealing a secret. ”Underground auctions don’t accept copper coins and a pretty smile. If the item in the letter is something big...”

Ester coldly added:

”...it’ll cost more than our lives.”

The fire in the fireplace seemed to crackle just as she said that.

Damon tilted his head, thoughtful.

”I’m not going there to buy anything.”

His fingers slid lightly along Ester’s waist, making her freeze for a second.

”But if it’s something big... I’ll have to steal it.”

Aria’s eyes widened, then a dangerous smile appeared on her face.

”Ah, I love when you use that word.”

”Of course you do,” Ester grumbled. ”You’d encourage him to overthrow an entire monarchy if you thought it was fun.”

”Depending on the monarchy, yes,” Aria replied, shrugging.

Damon continued, ignoring the two women:

”If what’s being sold is... what we think—that entity mentioned—I need to see it up close. I need to know what it is. I need to gather information, names, faces, purposes. And if possible, seize it before someone buys it—”

”You’re not going to steal from an unknown entity,” Ester interrupted, horrified. ”You don’t know what it does. You don’t know where it comes from. You don’t know if it breathes fire or kidnaps souls. You know NOTHING.”

”That’s precisely why I need to see it,” Damon retorted firmly.

Aria nodded, leaning closer to him, as if defending the team.

”He’s right. And if it’s there... that thing must be too important to leave in the hands of rotten nobles.”

Esther sighed, surrendering.

”So... you’re really going.”

”I will.”

He looked at the two of them—Aria excited, Ester restless—and added:

”But I can’t cause a scene right away. If I want to steal something like that... I need to move like a shadow. Enter silently, leave silently. Without anyone noticing I was near.”

Aria rested her finger on her chin, thoughtful.

”You’ve always been good at this.”

”Too good,” Ester murmured, crossing her arms.

Damon raised a corner of his lip.

”I do what needs to be done.”

Aria moved closer, pressing her body against his, her face dangerously close.

”So today you’re going down into the underworld...”

She slid her finger across his chest.

”...to a party full of criminals, corrupt nobles, and murderers... searching for a mysterious entity that no one should see.”

Ester finished, seriously:

”...and with the goal of stealing it, if necessary.”

Damon took a deep breath, feeling the true weight of what he was about to do.

”Yes.”

The two were silent for a moment.

Until Aria whispered, smiling:

”Damn... this is going to be fun.”

”This is going to be a disaster,” Ester corrected.

Damon smiled slowly, the kind of smile that always appeared when he accepted a huge risk—and was willing to go all the way.

”Disaster or not... today’s the day.”

And the fire in the fireplace reflected in his eyes.

As if the darkness of the underworld was already calling.
