Stealing Spree

Chapter 2716: Which part of him do you like?

Our dinner once again became a lively affair. The kind that made our modest dining room feel like a bustling banquet hall. The dinner table was laden with Miwa-nee’s specially-made curry. It was aromatic with chunks of tender meat and vegetables swimming in a spicy-sweet thick sauce that clung to the spoon.

Steaming rice bowls sat beside it, fluffy and perfect, alongside a spread of side dishes: crisp salad, pickled vegetables and some fried chicken nuggets Miwa-nee had whipped up especially for Minoru.

As soon as we paid our respects to the food, the boy dug into it instantly, which reminded me of myself back when I was also chowing down on Miwa-nee’s cooking years ago. His small hands gripped the spoon like a weapon as sauce smeared his cheeks while beaming up at everyone.

Akane sat to my right, her leg brushing mine under the table in that subtle, possessive way she picked up from me. Nao was on my left, her fingers occasionally sneaking to my thigh, squeezing whenever she thought no one was looking.

Hanabi plopped down across from me, her goofy grin never fading as she scooped massive spoonfuls into her mouth, humming appreciatively.

”Mmm! This is so good! Miwa-san, are you secretly a wizard?”

“Wizard? Hanabi-chan, I can teach you how to cook that if you want.”

“Really?! But... I am lazy. Hehe.” Her eyes sparkled for a moment before she put on a silly smile.

Right. Typical Hanabi. But I guess if she truly puts her mind into something, she’ll always excel at it. That’s why she’s not really worried about her studies.

Matsuri was probably the one worrying for her twin sister.

As for Azusa, she took the seat at the end, her posture ramrod straight as she elegantly spooned curry with delicate bites.

However, I caught her stealing glances at me, her stockings-clad foot ‘accidentally’ nudging my shin before pulling back as soon as she got my attention. This was her way of having me pay attention to her.

I’ll take note of that and tease her a lot later.

Miwa-nee hovered like the perfect hostess, refilling bowls and wiping Minoru’s face with a napkin. After a while, she joined us and the mood at the table became more lively.

The conversation flowed from there as we appreciated the food Miwa-nee prepared. Then, there’s Hanabi regaling us with goofy stories from her school or rather, her experiences while skipping classes. Azusa was trying and failing to one-up her with haughty tales of her ‘queendom’. And while they were at it, I used that opportunity to ask them how they were convinced by Nao to come with her to this sleepover, apart from the fact that it’s the weekend tomorrow.

Her interest piqued, Akane also chimed in as our eyes focused on the two girls.

“Un. Tell us about it. Which part of husband do you like?” With a silly grin, she pointed her spoon at Hanabi.

Hanabi’s spoon froze halfway to her mouth, curry dripping back into her bowl with a soft plop. Her lips seemed shrunk to a straight line as her eyes darted to me like she wanted to save her from that question, before she recovered with an exaggerated chomp.

“Mmm! This curry’s so spicy it’s making me confess stuff!” She mumbled through a full mouth with her cheeks puffed out like a chipmunk. Sauce smeared the corner of her lips and she licked it away with a dramatic swipe of her tongue. Obviously, she’s feigning obliviousness.

But Akane wouldn’t let that go. Her elbows pressed down on the table and her chin propped on her interlaced fingers.

As her eyes sparkled with that silly, wifely mischief as her brows became slightly slanted, “Evasion detected, Sister Hanabi. Husband’s waiting. Spill it... Or I’ll make him feed you himself.”

Nao giggled beside me and joined in pressing the girl after gulping down the spoonful of curry I had just fed her, “Yeah, Hanabi. Unlike Azusa, you readily agreed, right? I didn’t ask for the reason but... I remembered how your eyes sparkled when I told you Ruki here would be delighted if you said yes.

“Eh? I... That’s not it, Nao-senpai! I’m just... Ugh. Babe, help me out here, will you?” She put a hand on her head before calling out to me.

I simply tilted my head and put on a smile, “Hmm? Why? I’m also curious about your reason, babe. Also, I won’t believe it if you used Hanabi as a reason again. You’re a smart girl, cunning even.”

As I said that, I watched how the girl furtively clicked her tongue before pouting. With an expression as though she was betrayed by me, Hanabi slumped back in her chair, her long black hair cascading over one shoulder like a defeated waterfall. The ribbon in her hair drooped slightly, mirroring her pout.

”Ugh, fine! You all are bullies! Especially you, Ruki!” She pointed an accusing finger at me, but her goofy grin crept back almost immediately, unable to stay mad.

She straightened up, puffing out her chest dramatically, the fabric of her one-piece dress stretching taut over her perky breasts. ”Okay, okay! The truth is... I wanted to get back at teasing you! There, happy? Nao-senpai said it’d be fun, and I thought, ’Hey, why not crash at his place and get back at him?’. Plus, Miwa-san’s cooking smelled amazing from the stories Nao-senpai told. And... well, I wanted to see if babe still calls me that in front of everyone.”

Her voice dropped to a mumble at the end, her cheeks flushing a deeper pink as she poked at her curry, avoiding eye contact. But then she peeked up through her lashes, that mischievous spark returning. ”Also, I might’ve prepared a little something for later. A surprise! But only if you behave, Ruki.”

Akane clapped her hands delightedly. She’s also having fun seeing the girl surrender to the pressure like that.

”Aww, Sister Hanabi’s so cute when she’s honest! Husband, you have to behave now. No teasing until after she shows you her surprise.”

Nao leaned into my side, her hand sneaking higher on my thigh, fingers tracing lazy circles that sent a jolt straight to my cock. ”Hehe, what do you think, Ruki? I earned bonus points for being able to convince her, right?”

“Sure you do.” I fed her another spoonful of curry and rice which Nao delightfully accepted.

After that, we all glanced at the egotistic girl, who was mid-bite, her elegant spoon pausing as all eyes turned to her.

Azusa swallowed delicately, dabbing at her lips with a napkin before crossing her arms under her ample chest, pushing them up noticeably in that tight blouse.

”Hmph. Don’t lump me in with that goofball. I was... persuaded. Nao here kept nagging about how ’fun’ it would be, and how the shameless junior needed more ’queens’ to keep him in line. Not that I need an excuse to grace your humble abode. Consider it me doing charity.”

Classic Azusa. No matter what happens, she would have her chin held high as if no one could break her haughtiness. Rather than admit to something, she’d phrase it as if she just did it out of her own graciousness.

Miwa-nee chuckled from her seat, refilling Minoru’s bowl as the boy beamed up at her. ”Charity, huh? Well, we’re glad to have you both. Ruki has mentioned you two. Take note, he’s only doing that to those who truly catch his attention.”

Upon saying that, Miwa-nee winked at me, her mature curves shifting enticingly under her apron.

I smirked as I met the egotistic girl’s sharp gaze. ”Azusa-senpai, charity, you say? Are you sure it’s not because you couldn’t stop thinking about our time after the Interhigh?”

I ended that with a playful wink without adding any detail.

And sure enough, Azusa’s face exploded in crimson, her spoon clattering against her bowl. ”Y-You shameless junior! How dare you bring that up at the dinner table!”

She kicked my shin lightly under the table.

“Hmm? What happened there, husband? Tell us the details!” Akane nudged at my side but even before I could open my mouth, Azusa stood up and leaned forward, shooting her spoon straight to my mouth, “S-shut up, shameless junior. Don’t say anything about it.”

After that, she looked at the girls before trying to recover with a fake cough. “N-nothing happened. I just... gave him a piece of my mind. That’s all.”

“A piece of your mind? Oh...” Akane meaningfully grinned. And following her, Nao and Miwa-nee nodded.

Yep. Even without knowing the exact details, they could already imagine what transpired back then. I mean, Nao also saw how the girl folded to me during our first meeting. Her pride got in the way that despite giving her a way, she still jumped into the pan and surrendered her first kiss to me while pretending to be experienced.

I gulped down the contents of my mouth before smirking as well, “Alright. Enough playing around, let’s finish this dinner and prepare for the night.”

It’ll be disrespectful to the food if we continue like this, right? There’s time for teasing her more later. I can wait.
