Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 257: Chapter 257: The Name of Shura Appears on the Global Master List!

Half an hour later.

”Belle, thank you for coming to talk with me. I feel much better now.”

Belle Morwyn smiled softly, her voice gentle. ”Shura, we’re good friends. There’s no need to be so polite.”

She then rose gracefully to her feet. ”You should rest early.”

”Alright.”

Fenric watched her departing figure with quiet admiration.

There was a saying: a woman is like water, capable of nourishing a man’s heart. At this moment, Fenric felt the truth of it deeply.

Belle was indeed gentle and considerate. After sharing a simple conversation with her, much of the exhaustion weighing on him had faded.

He felt renewed—confident and strong once more.

But he also knew: only women of true gentleness could give such comfort. In this age, such women were rare. Most were self-centered, difficult, and exhausting to be with. The kind who drained rather than nurtured. A man who married such a woman would not find rest, but only endless fatigue.

Fenric did not log off immediately. Instead, he headed to his personal warehouse.

From his recent mission, he had obtained two particularly novel rewards.

One was a black credit card.

The other, a Samsara Wanted Order.

Fenric picked up the credit card first.

The system’s prompt rang out:

Special Item: Black Credit Card

A credit card usable only in mission copies set in modern societies. It carries a spending limit of 100 million USD.

Note: Cannot be used in the real world.

Fenric blinked in surprise.

It seemed both useless and invaluable at the same time. Perhaps not a combat tool, but certainly a practical one. Next time he entered a modern-world copy, he would never need to worry about money again.

Placing it back on the shelf, he picked up the rolled parchment of the Samsara Wanted Order.

Consumable Item: Samsara Wanted Order

Contains the identity of a wanted criminal.

Defeating the target yields bonus Samsara Points and a random ability from the criminal.

How to use: Break the seal to reveal the target’s information.

Fenric frowned slightly.

Interesting... so it’s like a bounty mission? Who could the target be?

For now, he decided to wait before unsealing it.

Finally, he withdrew the Golden Treasure Box and opened it.

Congratulations! You have obtained the ability: Death Sense!

Death Sense (Passive): Alerts you to danger in advance.

Strength of sensation varies. When the warning is overwhelming, avoid at all costs—your life is at stake.

Fenric’s eyes lit up.

As expected of a golden treasure chest. Always something good inside.

Though not directly increasing his combat power, this passive ability massively strengthened his survivability. With Death Sense, his chances of avoiding fatal danger had increased by at least seventy percent.

”Similar to Spider-Man’s spider-sense... but stronger. Not bad.”

Fenric smiled, satisfied.

Now only his Samsara Points remained. He had earned 55,000.

After some thought, he exchanged 50,000 points for 100 Potential Points

, leaving 5,000 as reserve. He then distributed the potential evenly among his four attributes.

Fenric studied the property panel with satisfaction.

Very strong.

Closing the warehouse, he turned his attention to the Global Master List.

His name had yet to appear.

Then, summoning Thor’s Hammer into his hand, Fenric watched as the list suddenly shifted.

The 99th rank was pushed down to 100, and the original 100th place vanished entirely.

And there it was—his vest name.

Shura – 99th Place!

Fenric’s gaze sharpened.

This meant that with just Thor’s Hammer, his power was enough to stand among the top 100 masters in the world.

Each one on that list was a giant, someone courted by nations, someone who commanded respect and fear.

Fenric exhaled, calm but resolute, then withdrew the hammer back into his warehouse.

Immediately, his name disappeared from the rankings, and the displaced masters returned to their positions.

Satisfied, Fenric logged off from Samsara Space.

One Minute Earlier, Zone E.

Three Samsaras were walking toward Samsara Tower Fourth Floor, chatting idly as they passed the Global Master List.

Suddenly, one of them froze and screamed:

”OH MY GOD! LOOK AT RANK 99—!”

”Wha—Shura?! Damn it!”

”That guy just cleared a tenth-floor copy, and now he’s in the top 100?”

”God... is this man a demon?”

”Huh? Wait—why did his name just vanish?”

”Were we seeing things?”

”Impossible! All three of us hallucinating at once? No way.”

”Then what happened? A system error?”

The three Samsaras stared at the list, unwilling to look away, as if the truth might appear again at any moment.
