Rising Shards

We here at Rising Shards HQ are thrilled to announce the first ever Rising Shards video game, RISING KARTS™!

RISING KARTS™ is a high octane kart racer ready to get your blood pumping and your fangs biting. Featuring 64 characters in the base game with many more coming as downloadable content, your favorite characters from Rising Shards will surely be there! Featuring impeccable graphics, tight controls, fun powerups, a solid 20 frames per second framerate most of the time, and so much more, RISING KARTS™ will be the most kart racer of all time.

Can you race your kart good and be the top kart racer at Rising Shards?

Each Cani racer will feature their own specialties. For example, Kalei is more likely to recieve the beam chasers powerup and can utilize her ice powers, Principal Penteldtam can expel others from the race, Chumbler can gamble on the track, Laenie can power up into an Exa Cani which slows her down greatly, Ovie (Season 1) can stop time, Ovie (Season 2) can use acid, Zeta can use her storm powers, Oka can use her plant life powers, Lillia can use her fire breath...in fact, every Cani has their power available to use at select moments during races!! Teachers like Dr. Diast get a special disciplinary power up as well. You can also create your own Cani racer, giving them powers! While the game is still early in development, the character models, reminiscent of game board pieces, are final and will not be changed.

RISING KARTS™ will feature a robust story mode with an exclusive story written by series author Chiral, where a custom racer of your design will rise in the ranks of the school’s deadly kart racing circuit. The story mode will include 19 different endings based on your choices, and 15 unique romanceable characters exclusive to the game.

Each kart is lovingly designed by our dedicated team of game devs, who promise this isn’t the first game they’ve ever made.

RISING KARTS™ will feature at least 12 courses, including the school fields, Vita Coa, girls dorm, little garden, the Sky Clay Late Night Circuit, and Litus Empirica!

Why do the karts only have two wheels you ask? That’s a secret that can only be revealed in the extensive 90 hour story mode.

Some early reviews of RISING KARTS™ from the cast:

”I said, ’If I’m gonna be in the game, I need to be in the top tier of playable characters or no deal.” —Kalei Koridia

”The graphics may look rudimentary, the controls feel clunky and have severe input lag, but I will win every race I play.” —Lillia Cadence

”Is this like that Farty Karty game? If so I’ll probably be pretty good at this, yeah?” —Oka Ohri

”I don’t want to play this.” —Zeta Faleur

”I played a few rounds with my sister and this game is a disaster.” —Ko Matora

”Yeah, this was not a good time.” —Kai Matora

”I saw my character in this and they made her hair not-green. My hair has been green for a really long time, come on!” —Iris Arco

”The character creation system seems really barebones. What’s even the point of a character creator when everyone’s just a dinky little game piece?” —Maia Oloro

”As long as Rain’s in it, I will tolerate this ’video game.’” —Amara Allegro

”If there’s one goal I have in life, it’s to race go-karts very, very fast.” —Principal Penteldtam

A beautiful day for racing! This last screenshot for the exclusive debut reveal also features the reveal of the villainous Wheelie the Deluxe Doughnut™ (bottom left corner), the main antagonist of RISING KARTS™ who will stop at nothing to take home the trophy to honor his bretheren from the doughnut racing void node.

RISING KARTS™ will release on your favorite console for a base price of $99.99 with the deluxe versions costing significantly more. If you preorder the game, you’ll receive the day one DLC character, Z.O.K.! Look forward to learning more details about RISING KARTS™ in the coming months!
