Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1325: Jealousy and Venom ( 1325 )

That night.

Other Continent.

Zeyrinda sat upon a magnificent, ethereal throne, its surface carved from pure crystalline light, radiating a soft, divine glow. Her posture was regal, but her eyes held a calm, controlled fury as she rested her cheek on her knuckle, gazing down at the scene below.

Before her, the King of Divinitas knelt on one knee, his head bowed low in reverence.

”O Keeper of my Soul, your humble servant awaits your divine will.”

Zeyrinda’s gaze flickered down at him, her voice smooth but carrying an edge of impatience.

”Garreth.”

The king’s head lifted slightly, his voice steady and composed. ”Your servant hears you, O Supreme Goddess.”

Zeyrinda’s eyes narrowed, her fingers tapping lightly against the armrest of her throne.

”Drop the formalities. Speak to me as you would in private. I grow tired of the endless titles and bowing.”

Garreth raised his head and slowly stood up, his movements calm and deliberate. He straightened his royal attire before meeting Zeyrinda’s gaze, his voice soft and concerned.

”You look troubled, my goddess. What weighs upon your heart?”

Zeyrinda narrowed her eyes, her jaw tightening as she glanced away, her breath escaping in a slow, controlled exhale. She lifted a single finger, gesturing for him to come closer.

”Come here. I need to ask you something.”

”My life is yours to command, my beautiful goddess.”

Garreth bowed slightly before ascending the stairs toward the throne. Each step was measured, reverent, until he stood before her. His eyes traced the lines of her revealing silk white gown, the fabric glowing faintly, clinging to her curves. It parted just enough to reveal the smooth expanse of her thigh, the gentle curve of her waist, and the soft outline of her belly, her navel visible through the sheer material.

”What troubles a goddess as radiant as yourself?”

Zeyrinda rested her chin on her hand, glancing away, her voice low and irritated. ”Something... has happened. Something I did not foresee.”

Garreth nodded, but his gaze lingered on the swell of her breasts, the sheer fabric hinting at the outline of her nipples beneath. He swallowed before speaking, his voice steady but warm.

”Tell me, O beautiful one, and I will do whatever I can to ease your mind.”

Zeyrinda’s eyes remained fixed on the distance, her voice carrying a note of frustration. ”Will you keep it a secret? From everyone? Including Julius... and the other two goddesses?”

Garreth’s hand slowly rose, his fingers brushing against her smooth thigh.

”I swear it. My loyalty belongs to beauty such as yours, and yours alone.”

Zeyrinda let Garreth’s hand caress her thigh, his fingers tracing slow, deliberate circles against her smooth skin. She turned her head slowly, meeting his gaze with a mixture of irritation and vulnerability.

”Tell me, Garreth.”

”Yes, my Supreme Goddess?”

”Tell me...” She glanced into his eyes, her voice low. ”Tell me that the unit I requested is ready.”

Garreth smiled, his hand sliding higher along her thigh as he nodded. ”Yes, my beautiful goddess. The unit is ready to serve you. Every soldier has been injected with your divine blood, bound to your will, and trained to obey your every command without question.”

He paused, his lips hovering near hers, close enough to feel her breath.

”But why do you need them now? What has happened to trouble my goddess so deeply?”

Zeyrinda bit her lower lip, her eyes burning with irritation as she met his gaze.

”I can feel it. One of my heroes, Gorak, has been defeated. His divine weapon was absorbed by another hero... one of Rafazelia’s chosen.”

Her voice dropped, laced with venom.

”I hate betrayal like this. Rafazelia always acted as if she was above such schemes, but I should have known. She’s always been jealous of my power, my influence.”

She exhaled sharply, her eyes narrowing.

”I’m sure this was Rafazelia’s plan all along. She must have ordered her summoned hero to do this, to weaken my forces before the invasion even begins, to steal what is mine.”

Zeyrinda tilted her head back slightly, her eyes locking onto Garreth’s as his hand slid from her thigh to rest on her stomach, his fingers tracing idle patterns against the sheer fabric. His gaze lingered on her lips, waiting.

”Rafazelia has always been jealous of me,” Zeyrinda continued, her voice sharp. ”She envies that I summoned twenty heroes, while she could only manage five. This is her petty revenge.”

Garreth smiled, leaning closer, his voice dropping to a low, intimate whisper. His hand slid upward, his thumb brushing just below the curve of her breast.

”Tell me, my beautiful goddess... what command do you wish to give me? I live only to serve your will.”

Zeyrinda’s lips curled into a cold, satisfied smirk.

”Send the special unit. Hunt down Jaigar on the other continent and retrieve what was stolen. Make sure Rafazelia’s little pawn understands the cost of crossing me.”

Garreth bowed his head, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered.

”Your servant hears you, my goddess. It shall be done.”

He paused, his breath warm against her skin as his voice dropped lower, tinged with a subtle, yearning desire.

”But tell me, my beautiful one... what reward shall I receive for serving you so faithfully? It has been so long since I have tasted the warmth of my queen’s embrace, and my body aches for a touch that only you can grant.”

Zeyrinda’s eyes glimmered with amusement. She reached down, taking his hand and guiding it upward, slipping it beneath the fabric of her gown, letting his fingers cup her bare breast. She pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss, her tongue meeting his before she slowly pulled away, her voice a low, honeyed whisper.

”I have always known your eyes were for me, Garreth. Your devotion has not gone unnoticed.” She pressed his hand more firmly against her breast, her voice dropping to a seductive murmur. ”Serve me well in this, and I shall grant you a night in my divine embrace. Let your loneliness be soothed by my presence.”

The moment the words left Zeyrinda’s lips, Garreth’s composure shattered. A low, guttural growl escaped his throat as he surged forward, his hands cupping her breasts with a desperate hunger. He pushed the sheer fabric of her gown aside, baring her chest to the cool air before his mouth descended, lips latching onto one nipple while his fingers kneaded and teased the other.

Zeyrinda let out a soft, pleased hum, her head tilting back as she enjoyed the eager, feral touch of the king. Her fingers threaded through his hair for a moment before she hooked a single finger under his chin, gently pulling his face up to meet hers.

”As much as I enjoy your enthusiasm...” she whispered, her voice a silken purr. ”Relay the command to the special unit first. Then, and only then, you may return for your reward.”

Garreth’s chest heaved, his eyes dark with barely restrained desire. He swallowed hard, his voice hoarse as he bowed his head.

”Thy wish is my command, my goddess.”

He straightened, adjusting his royal attire with practiced grace, his composure slowly returning as he turned and walked toward the door, each step measured and regal.

Zeyrinda watched him go, a dark smirk curling on her lips as her thoughts wandered.

I wonder... how much bigger is he compared to Julius? A king’s stature often matches his ambition...

Her eyes glinted with cold calculation.

And if Julius ever dares to betray me... I will have Garreth, the strongest king among all three nations, as my weapon.
