Chapter 616: Lia’s Adventure Begins! Part-5.

[That seems like overkill...]

”When dealing with monsters and beasts that you don’t have much information about, it’s actually better to just obliterate them with absolute firepower before they can cause any problems...”

Lia way of fighting was simple, target an enemy’s weakness and win with maximum efficiency, but if you don’t know the target’s weakness, then forget about efficiency and saving mana; just obliterate everything in sight regardless!

”You are amazing! Hehe!”

Even the little golem’s big eyes seemed to be shining with admiration looking at Lia’s masterpiece.

A massive crater was created in the ground, and at the center of it all, a deep pit was formed with particle beams!

The sand was turned into crystals with the sheer pressure and heat of the lasers, and every single atom of the monster’s body was disintegrated into the purest forms of energy and elementals!

Lia completely erased that corrupted creature from existence with sheer firepower!

”This one was an S-ranker, yet it’s quite weak...”

[No, after fighting Alverto, you have become stronger... moreover, don’t forget that those affected by miasma get debuffed when fighting you...]

Lia had a passive ability called ’Conqueror of Darkness,’ which gave her the ability to resist miasma and corruption to the extreme limits, and every demon or corrupted being that fights her will have to face a major debuff.

This flying bird was a corrupted beast, and thus it was heavily debuffed, and as Divine Spirit Magic is quite efficient at dealing with miasmic corruption, Lia had a massive advantage when fighting corrupted beasts like that.

”Talking about overkill... I ended up destroying its corpse; now I can’t examine its body structure and see what kind of weird mutations it had...”

The creature remained alive even after having half of its body blown apart, and it even managed to control its internal organs at will to prevent them from spilling out and facing damage.

Lia had never seen, read, or even heard anything about such a bizarre creature that refused to die even after suffering such a fatal wound.

”I am quite sure that its presence and aura disappeared once I landed the first blow... which should indicate that it had died right away...”

”But then it got up again and its presence returned... this is quite weird... don’t tell me that it turned into some kind of ’undead’ the very moment it died...”

[That is possible too... even I mistook it for dead but then its presence reappeared... this kind of situation can only happen when a creature turns into an undead...]

[But the process of a dead body turning into an undead takes a long time and massive amount of miasma accumulation in the body or around the body...]

[This one turned into an undead a very fast pace... is it because it already had a massive amount of miasmic corruption in its body from the very beginning?]

”That might be a possibility... if a creature already has enough miasmic corruption in its body, it can turn into an undead after its death under right conditions...”

”Usually, this kind of thing doesn’t seem to happen often though... after all, there are barely any sightings of undead demons in the outside world...”

”As creature of miasma, the demon race should have produced a massive amount of undead if this kind of thing was common...”

Lia looked at the deep empty pit and shook her head in regret.

”Alas, I destroyed its body... otherwise, I might have been able to figure out what caused it to mutate and turn into that weird undead form...”

Shaking her head, Lia sheathed her sword and decided to fly deeper inland to look for clues.

While flying, Lia came across a small stream and decided to follow it upstream.

The possibility of encountering monster settlements near streams and rivers is the highest, due to which Lia took this route, as she wanted to find some clues to the location of the final boss of this massive-looking dungeon.

Looking at the vast forest and hilly area stretching far and wide until the horizon, Lia couldn’t help but shake her head helplessly.

”This dungeon is really too big... it’s almost as if I have entered a big continent or something. There’s endless vegetation and ordinary animals along with various weaker type of monsters...”

”How am I supposed to find Father in such a massive place with no leads or clues...”

[Talking about that muscular airhead, I already suspected that we might get separated from him inside the dungeon so I put a divine spirit mark on him before entering the dungeon...]

[But for some reason, I am unable to sense that mark now... I have no idea where he is...]

[Perhaps something’s interfering with its connection...]

”Interference, you say... must be because he got thrown to some place with higher density of miasma in the environment...”

”The dungeon is massive; I won’t be surprised if there are places like that inside it...”

”Forget it... let’s go and try to interrogate some monster to find more information about this dungeon’s internal structure...”

Just when Lia was speaking with Kai and flying upstream at a low altitude, her spiritual sense reacted to a particular miasmic fluctuation, and a scream entered her ears from the nearby dense forest!

”Help!! Help!! Stay away, demon!! Let Miria Go!!”

”Let Miria Go!”

Hearing this plea for help, Lia once again activated extreme stealth before changing her flying course and headed straight towards the source of those shouts and pleas of help.

[A demon... miasma is interfering so I don’t know if the cries of help are genuine or not, as I can’t properly sense the presence of anyone beside that demon...]

”Doesn’t matter if it’s a trap, I want some intelligent creature to provide me information about this dungeon... even if it’s a demon, it will do...”

”I just have to capture it and pump purification divine spirit magic in his body to make him tell me everything it knows...”

[Err... don’t say it like that... it makes you sound like a psychopath villain...]

Hearing those words, Lia raised her eyebrows and replied with a smirk,

”You just found out that I was actually a psychopath villainess all along?”
