However, Jing Shaoyuan’s concerns were not without reason.

He was also thinking about the alliance army.

During this period of time, as the battle between the two armies became more and more intense, both sides had sent a large number of spies and scouts to the enemy.

In the past, there had been cases where Devils disguised themselves as humans and tried to sneak into Blessed City. There had also been cases where the soldiers sent by the alliance army were brainwashed by the Devils and sent back to Blessed City, ruining the battle that was bound to be won at the critical moment.

As a Divine General who had experienced hundreds of battles, Xuan Jiuling had seen such situations countless times over the years. Therefore, he was very cautious. Ever since he decided to retreat to Blessed City, he had issued a strict order to prohibit anyone from entering or leaving.

He didn’t even let anyone open the door when some refugees who hadn’t entered Blessed City in time came to call.

It was not that he did not sympathize with the homeless refugees, but no one could prove that they were not spies of the Devil Clan. For the sake of the people of the entire city, he had no choice but to make a choice.

This time, Xuan Jiuling had agreed to let Xuan Chaoyi and the others enter the city because he knew Xuan Chaoyi and also because Xuan Chaoyi’s mission was very important. Otherwise, he would have chased them away long ago.

Xuan Jiuling frowned and thought for a long time, but he couldn’t make a final decision.

The generals who had gathered heard the conversation between Jing Shaoyuan and Xuan Jiuling and quickly began to discuss.

“This… Divine General Xuan, I think Commander Jing’s words are reasonable! At this moment, Sky Devil Ruijiang was probably worried that they would not be able to attack Blessed City. The possibility of them sending spies was extremely high! It’s really too suspicious for Xuan Chaoyi and the others to return at this time…”

‘ That’s right, Divine General Xuan. Think about it. The Dark Divine Guards have been missing for almost a month. They didn’t come back sooner or later, but they came back when Blessed City was sealed. This…lsn’t this too much of a coincidence?”

“Even if Xuan Chaoyi is the genius of your clan, you can’t let all the citizens in the city take such a huge risk for him, right?”

“You can’t say that, right? The Mystic Divine General had just said that the Mystic Divine Guards had accepted a secret mission to leave the city. Now that he has returned, he might have obtained some crucial information!”

“What other crucial information can there be? Can he snatch the secret treasure of Sky Devil Ruijiang?”

‘ No matter how valuable the information is, it’s impossible to kill Sky Devil Ruijiang. On the contrary, letting spies sneak into the city might cause the entire Blessed City to fall!”

‘ But Xuan Chaoyi is a comrade who fought alongside us. Are we going to give up on him just like that?”

‘ There’s nothing we can do about it. He’s already working for the Devils. How can he be pitied?”

The generals discussed animatedly, expressing their own opinions.

Although a small number of people sympathized with Xuan Chaoyi and felt that he should be allowed in, more people chose to support Jing Shaoyuan.

As a member of the alliance army, they had long disregarded life and death. Not only did they not care about their own lives, but they also did not care about the lives of others.

As long as it was for the final victory of the battle, it was reasonable to sacrifice

Xuan Chaoyi and the others.

Xuan Jiuling, as the general, naturally understood this principle.

He stared at the small group of people under the city gate tower and was silent for a long time. However, be careful not to injure them. Just warn them and let them leave.”

In the end, he still gave the order..
