Chapter 3238: It Can’t Be True (3)

“Even if it was written by Divine Lieutenant Li, he might have been coerced by someone! This… is really hard to say!”

Hearing Jing Shaoyuan’s analysis, everyone fell silent.

Meng Shurong frowned and began to ponder.

Jing Shaoyuan’s guess made them feel hard to swallow, but it was reasonable and logical.

To tell the truth, even Meng Shurong didn’t believe that such a ridiculous thing would happen from the bottom of his heart. Sky Devil Rui Ze was so powerful that even these Dao Profound Realm practitioners had a bad headache. But they were actually killed by these two Heart Profound Realm youngsters?

If this matter were to spread, no one would ever believe in it, right? Even if these two juniors were first-class peerless geniuses in God Realm, it was simply unbelievable!

Meng Shurong muttered irresolutely, “If this war communique is indeed not written by Li Yukun, then we’d be in huge trouble! The demon tribe could control our Divine Lieutenant and even make him leave his spiritual imprint! Wouldn’t that mean that the strongholds in the frontline have completely fallen into the enemy’s hands? If it was true, the devil army would probably arrive in Blessed City within these two days!”

Hearing this, all the Divine Lieutenant’s expressions changed abruptly!

The Divine Lieutenants assigned to the frontline were full of experience. If even they couldn’t hold off the devil army and were annihilated, then would the rest of them really be able to protect Blessed City?

Everyone simply couldn’t accept this result!

Someone pondered for a moment and objected weakly.

“Divine General Sir, This Subordinate feels that Divine Lieutenant Li had always been loyal towards the allied armies and his willpower is also very powerful. So it shouldn’t be possible for him to be controlled by the demon tribe… this war communique… might be real?”

When he said that, Jing Shaoyuan immediately rebuked, “Divine Lieutenant Li is indeed loyal. But the demon tribe has plenty of ways to bewitch people. They also have magic skills to make someone lose their consciousness! Divine Lieutenant Li might not be able to resist it!”

“But…”

Seeing that person wanting to continue speaking, Jing Shaoyuan immediately said, “Why? Don’t tell me you believe that two Heart Profound Realm practitioners could defeat Sky Devil Rui Ze?”

“This… this definitely isn’t possible, but…”

This person was Li Yukun’s best friend and he wasn’t willing to believe that Li Yukun would write a false war communique.

Meng Shurong heard the conversation between them and he kept silent with a grave expression.

Rationally speaking, he felt that Jing Shaoyuan’s analysis was more logical.

But from an emotional aspect, he hoped that the information was true!

If Sky Devil Rui Ze was really dead, Blessed City’s crisis would be resolved!

“We can’t be careless towards matters related to Blessed City’s safety.” Meng Shurong thought over it for a moment before he said, “From now onwards, all of us should be prepared for the arrival of the devil army immediately! By then, we must guard Blessed City and wait until the reinforcements from the Headquarters arrive!”

“Besides that, we must send someone to the frontline and find out in detail about the situation…”

Although he felt as if he was still dreaming, Meng Shurong held a sliver of hope that the contents of the war communique would turn into the truth!

Just at this moment, a flurry of hurried footsteps rang once again in the corridor.

Immediately following that, another personal guard appeared in the study room. He was also panting heavily.

“Divine General Sir, a war… war communique from the frontline…”
