Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1812: The Dark War (14)

Sure, the likes of Neomi, Vexthra, Lani, Meiko, Pandora, Unity, Liora, Enzi, and a couple of others are killing much faster, putting their names at the top of the ranking.

That speaks volumes about their strength, and it goes without saying that they are some of the most powerful warriors in the harem.

However, a much more serious threat loomed. One that, if the ladies currently at the top of the list weren’t careful, would be dethroned.

One such threat was the succubus, Adina. Just like some of her sisters, she had also become a Demigod, boasting incredibly powerful illusion abilities.

Unlike the rest of her sisters, who had thrown themselves into the carnage of battle, cutting down their foes with their own hands, Adina sat in an elegant lotus posture, surrounded by a formation naturally created by Alina.

Resting on her lap was a zither that oozed an insidious pink mist. With every note she played, waves of illusory energy that seemed to reach into the soul, worm their way into the heart, and finally invade the mind spread across the battlefield.

Those who lacked the will to resist her spreading power were dragged into illusions. With a mere whisper, she planted commands into their ears, turning them into her swords and blades.

The longer her zither played, the farther her encroaching power spread, taking hold of more minds and hearts. As a succubus, even the Dark Fiends found it difficult to resist the budding feelings of lust and the overwhelming desire to please their mistress.

The Dark Empress was powerless against what her Dark Fiends felt and how those feelings controlled them. She knew she had to kill Adina, or else all she could do was watch the carnage unfold around her.

But to reach Adina, one first had to get past the Ancient Evil Grand Shaman Vorgun.

That was nearly impossible because, when it came to the highest death count on the battlefield, the kills kept piling up under Grand Shaman Vorgun’s name.

Shade King Nykali had been thoroughly humbled by Grand Shaman Vorgun. While the former specialized in cultivating Soul Wraiths, Grand Shaman Vorgun specialized in cultivating Soul Fiends.

The two arts were similar, yet fundamentally different.

Shade King Nykali could preserve only the original form of the soul he had harvested. If the soul came from a human, then no matter how powerful he made that Soul Wraith, it would always retain its human form.

Grand Shaman Vorgun, however, could reshape souls entirely. Using nothing but his imagination, he could manipulate a soul into any form he envisioned. As long as he could picture it vividly enough, he could create it.

Aside from that, Grand Shaman Vorgun was a Celestial Supreme, far stronger than Shade King Nykali, who was only a Demigod.

Shade King Nykali boasted forty thousand quality Soul Wraiths, but compared to Grand Shaman Vorgun, he still had a long way to go.

Currently, Grand Shaman Vorgun stood atop a mountain of Dark Fiend corpses, holding his staff as he gazed across the battlefield with a chilling smile.

Scattered across the battlefield were ghastly Soul Fiends, each towering over 200 meters tall, their presence both chilling and devastating.

Every single one of them was above the rank of a Supreme King. The more they killed, the stronger they became. It was as though they would continue growing until they reached the point where even the heavens could no longer contain them.

That point was still far beyond them. But even so, the mere fact that he alone commanded such power spoke volumes about the might possessed by the Twenty-Four Grand Shamans.

Of course, the others weren’t messing around either.

Veera and her undead legion were advancing relentlessly, growing stronger and more devastating in every regard. She and Shade King Nykali also had a bet of their own, one that revolved around who could claim the most kills.

But if commanding vast armies was under discussion, then the Mind Cultivators also deserved a place in the conversation.

Zaila had already taken over the minds of ten thousand Dark Fiends, with two Celestials among them. The reason the Dark Fiends were struggling to gain the advantage was their lack of versatility compared to Kent’s side.

Someone like Zaila, who was merely a Demigod, had managed to seize control of ten thousand Dark Fiends, including two Celestials, whom she had sent after Demigods and Gods.

It was like opening a dam and letting the floodwaters pour into a city of mortals. They were practically defenseless against such a tide.

It was what Zaila had done. The Celestials and Supremes she had mind-controlled are not killing gods and demigods.

In the end, everything depended on whether the Dark Empress could kill her before her mental powers spread deeper into the minds of even more Dark Fiends.

Some members of Kent’s legion who cultivated the Mind Path were also using their abilities to their fullest potential. The legion of Mind Cultivators continued doing their part, constantly adding more forces to Kent’s side.

Suddenly, a sense of tension enveloped everyone.

The feeling came from the direction where Kent was locked in battle against the three Pseudo-Primordials. Those who managed to turn and look witnessed a truly chilling sight.

High in the air, millions of swords hovered behind Kent, each one empowered by Sword Energy and infused with evil qi, chaos qi, and abyssal qi.

However, that alone wasn’t enough. Thousands of blood runes lit up across the swords, further augmenting them and boosting their power to such an extent that the moment they appeared, everyone sensed overwhelming danger.

Perhaps the greatest source of that danger was the subtle trace of Origin Qi hidden within some of the swords. Kent made sure to use only the smallest amount to avoid provoking a backlash from the heavens.

Yet that tiny amount of Origin Qi was more than enough to shake the hearts of the three Pseudo-Primordials.

”Die, you worthless maggots!”

Kent slashed forward, and the millions of swords surged ahead, causing the very ground beneath them to tremble.

The Dark Empress panicked and quickly summoned her defense, manifesting the silhouette of a gigantic scorpion. It covered her entire body just as the swords arrived.

The three Pseudo-Primordials didn’t back down either. They each activated their own defenses, meeting the oncoming storm of swords with determined expressions.

The danger didn’t last long because the moment they became preoccupied, Kent realized he couldn’t kill them with his usual techniques.

So he changed tactics.

”Gaap, turn into a hammer.”

His sword changed form, becoming a massive hammer with a black steel head and a brown handle.

”Pseudo-Primordials are indeed worthy opponents. However, I didn’t come all this way just to be stopped by mere bugs.”

Kent’s Barbarian nature awakened, causing his body to expand into that of a giant barbarian with arms powerful enough to wield the hammer Gaap had transformed into.

”Today, you will witness the power of my Sixty-Six Hammer Art.”

Kent’s body surged with power, the air crackling with elemental force, leaving everyone watching the battle with numb scalps.

He flew into the air and raised the hammer...

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

”First Hammer.”

The clouds churned as lightning flashed through them. Within the lightning, the silhouette of a colossal hammer appeared. The moment it manifested, an invisible force crashed down upon the three Pseudo-Primordials and the Dark Empress.

”DIE!”

Kent descended and struck with a devastating force.

A gigantic hammer split the clouds apart, and a large hammerhead came crashing down with overwhelming force...
