Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 356: Chapter 338: Aquatic Combat (Part 2)

We must find a way to enhance its strength from other areas.

Such as Effort Values, technique proficiency, adaptability, even Super Evolution, even if the subsequent level doesn’t increase its combat power, these can still enhance it.

Aggron has such a deep Special Attack Technique Pool; it would be a shame not to develop in that direction.

Anyway, in the animation world, Effort Values might not have a ceiling. Pikachu can use Iron Tail as Giant Beast Slash, so is there any problem with Aggron becoming a turret with Special Attack techniques?

No problem at all.

People need dreams.

Baimu glanced at the screen’s lower right corner, and the interval time was also half an hour.

”One more round, everyone, hang in there.”

He shook three Pokeballs.

In each round of the qualifying, the opponent’s strength will increase; you could tell from the last opponent.

Starting with a team in their initial state, followed by a fully evolved Bug-Flying team, unsure if the next opponent will be particularly strong.

For the starter... it’s safer to send out Mawile, whose mobility is relatively strong.

He silently made up his mind and chatted with Liuqia.

She’s challenging Shuijing City’s Gorgeous Competition today. The long-awaited appearance excites her immensely, causing Baimu’s phone to constantly vibrate.

Among many acquaintances, she loves surfing online the most.

Others like Xiaogang, Xiaoguang, and Courtney don’t message and chat online at all; they prefer communicating face-to-face.

——

Half an hour later.

Baimu put away his phone and placed the three Pokeballs on stage.

The battle arena on the screen changed again.

The rocks and sand around the field transformed into a large rectangular deep-water pool, surrounded by rocky walls and floating with some pitiful-looking plastic boards.

”Wow! Water stream arena!”

He was somewhat surprised; this kind of arena is rare, generally appearing only in Water Attribute Gym or water-centered competitions.

According to online descriptions, the tent’s battle arena changes due to participating Pokémon’s influence.

The previous ordinary arena and the second round rock-sand arena serve as evidence.

Does this mean the opponent is Water Attribute this time?

As if proving his thoughts.

When the battle began, machines on both sides shot out Pokeballs, and a large Tentacruel with numerous black tentacles and a hat-like cranial structure, with red gemstones embedded on sides, plunged into the water.

Bang!

Crystal-clear splashes soared, waves shook the plastic boards, making Mawile unsteady.

”Chido...”

The latter frowned and floated off the board directly.

This board couldn’t keep steady at all; that strange creature sways slightly and already causes heaps of trouble here, making it hard even to balance, let alone exert force?

Seems necessary to rely on the wall’s strength.

Mawile pondered on attacks against Tentacruel bobbing in water.

Water... Water Attribute?

Based on this deduction, it should be right, waah, should’ve learned more from trainers earlier; now needing to guess its attribute upon seeing the opponent.

Let’s just be straightforward like Aggron.

”Chido!”

Mawile sighed, slightly raised its hand, and tilted its head.

Whoosh!

Several dark shadows pierced through the air with a whistling wind, barely missing its temple and hand and other parts.

In the water’s ”sneak attack,” Tentacruel’s heart trembled; it swore this randomly flying guy hadn’t noticed its actions at all earlier.

Then how did it evade?

Coincidence?

Coincidence doesn’t dodge so many tentacles together, right?

No, must tie it down!

Tentacruel shook its shooting tentacles, trying to bind Mawile in mid-air.

Never expected the latter, instead of further dodging, grabbed the tentacle and manipulated Electromagnetic Levitation underfoot for substantial repelling force, utilizing waist strength to yank it out of the water!

How can something so small possess such strength!?

Tentacruel helplessly watched itself being pulled out from the water, as tentacle contractions swiftly drew it closer to Mawile, feeling danger decided on heroic spasm choice!

Its pincers-like organs swiftly swung, cutting off all extended tentacles, showing slight pain on its face.

Luckily, as long as roots aren’t pulled entirely, such tentacles will regrow.

Thud!

It fell back into the water, slightly relieved.

As long as it continues to hold the home advantage, even if the opponent is strong there’s still a definite winning chance on this side.

In mid-air, grasping two severed tentacles, Mawile was initially stunned, then disgustedly tossed them away.

The young lady couldn’t imagine an ordinary battle with the opponent making such ”great” sacrifices, despite having multiple hands can’t waste them like this? But obviously looked so short; why can it suddenly stretch so long?

”Chido...”

Getting dragged into the water by tentacles is troublesome; this guy is a type it cannot handle moderately.

After brief contemplation, Mawile suddenly started spinning mid-air, its Momentum increased rapidly, brightening the Ability Value enhancement glow.

In the pool, Tentacruel’s eyes sparkled.

Great chance!

It suddenly emerged from water enveloped in violet viscous liquid, directing it like a living thing shot towards Mawile!

Mud Wave! Get poisoned!

Tentacruel happily swung countless tentacles, instantly deciding on next skill connection—

[Misfortune Never Comes Alone].
