Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 231: Chapter 228: A Wonderful Summer Night

Farewell to the busy Officer Jenny.

She just came to check on things and warned him to have Steelix restrain itself a bit.

Not only Trainers come to Petalburg Forest, but also many people with Pokémon who have little to no combat ability, like Medicine Gatherers, Woodcutters, and Fruit Farmers, families out for picnic camping, and even ordinary people hoping to obtain Pokémon.

Besides, the outskirts of Petalburg Forest are mostly small and weak Pokémon, showing off too much would cause a small panic.

A Medicine Gatherer reported to her; after gathering herbs, he accidentally looked up and nearly had a heart attack from witnessing a Steelix freely soaring in the sky.

Recently, the ”Big Monster” series of movies is very popular, telling the story of a Mechanical Tyranitar appearing and destroying towns.

That person directly immersed himself in the idea.

”Although taking the movie seriously is a bit problematic, being frightened is understandable...”

Baimu awkwardly glanced at the equally awkward, and even slightly aggrieved Steelix.

”Roar~”

The latter growled lowly; it was quite popular in Pyrite Town and had never been ’disliked’ like this—actually it had, a lot of minions in Pyrite Town were extremely afraid of this guy, just that it didn’t care at the time.

And Steelix now recalls, Pyrite Town only gave it memories of happiness.

Especially being able to ’Dig’.

”In that case... then you’ll have to work a bit harder and travel back and forth more between me and Pyrite Town.” Baimu patted its huge head.

To look after the Pokémon, he transmitted over, N specially arranged an Indeedee who is extremely cordial, ensuring that even if he doesn’t have time, Baimu’s needed Pokémon can be transferred over timely.

”Roar~”

Steelix was delighted by this and expressed its determination to train harder once back in Pyrite Town; tunneling can still make it strong!

”Let’s hope so...”

Baimu recalled Xiaogang’s teachings on nurturing Steelix, feeling a bit relieved.

Even nurturing Pokémon doesn’t require keeping them by your side at all times; regular check-ups and maintenance are sufficient.

Glancing at the time.

”Time for dinner! Everyone, let’s get to work!”

He shouted, calling back the playful Pokémon, assigning commands to each one, striving to make sure they all felt involved.

Engagement will make the food taste better and help improve the Pokémon’s physical and mental health, mentioned in Uncle Ranch’s health management Chapter.

Dinner consists of fried rice and mushroom soup, not much, as space backpacks can’t allocate much space for food, but fortunately, there are plenty of Tree Fruits in the wild.

With the addition of Tree Fruits, even big eaters like Aggron and Steelix can be satisfied.

Many fruit trees are guarded by Wild Pokémon, but thanks to Steelix’s presence, nine out of ten have been scared away, the remaining one is either asleep or fainted from fright. Regarding picking Tree Fruits, they’re mad but don’t dare voice it, just hoping to send the plague god away soon.

Baimu is not worried that picking Tree Fruits will leave Wild Pokémon unable to survive. Most forests have a surplus of fruit due to the presence of Grass-type Pokémon, with no shortage situation.

However, the occasional destructive behavior like Rocket Team’s is another matter.

The fried rice is fragrant, and the mushroom soup is delicious.

Baimu watched Chansey’s joyful expressions, even though traveling alone, he never felt lonely.

Cooking smoke rose up, sunset, and nightfall.

Soon.

The sky was already filled with stars.

Chansey willingly took on the chore of washing dishes, always liking to do small, tedious tasks to show its value.

After a short rest, everyone started training as usual.

Baimu also participated, doing various aerobic and anaerobic exercises, hoping to improve his physique to Ash Ketchum’s level, able to withstand Pokémon’s moves head-on while shouting, ”Unexpectedly, what are you doing?”

Maybe getting electrified has some effect?

Actually, he’s never dared to take a Pokémon’s move directly because he doesn’t dare.

In the distance.

The sound of crashes rang out.

That’s Steelix and Aggron colliding; one wants to learn Iron Head, the other aims for Heavyweight Charge, both diligently striving.

Actually, if he could choose, Baimu would prefer Aggron to learn Double-bladed Head Hammer, a Rock Attribute physical big move.

However, it’s a hereditary move and can’t be self-learned; either learned from simulator rewards or from another Aggron who knows this move.

Just those two methods.

A bit closer, Mawile is dancing; Sword Dance is indeed difficult for it, even Shadow Clone seemed mysteriously acquired, but Sword Dance shows no sign yet.

Chansey, though it can’t attack for now, eagerly learns support moves. Whether it’s Helping Hand or Light Wall, it makes other Pokémon envious.

Now, it’s helping Deino learn Dragon’s Pulse, using Helping Hand to boost Dragon Breath’s energy amplitude, letting the latter experience how much energy Dragon’s Pulse should output; a method highly recommended by many Trainers online.

Baimu doesn’t know if it’s really effective, but after a few harmless attempts, he let them continue.

Deino indeed gained new moves over two months—Flame Fang, Thunder Fang, and Frozen Fang. Clearly learned from Mawile, plus Deino’s love for chewing things.

Everyone’s striving hard.

Including the usually lifeless Galarian Corsola, despite staring at the campfire in a trance, it’s actually learning Ghost Fire, comprehending the power of flames from the campfire.

Baimu initially didn’t believe it could learn this way, mainly because back at Pokémon Center in Littleroot Town, while sparring culinary skills with Xiaogang, he set it aside. The stove was lit, and it inexplicably shuddered from seven or eight meters away, spitting out two wisps of flames.

This inspired him.

The only two Fire Attribute moves Galarian Corsola can learn are Ghost Fire and Sunny Day; regardless of which is learned, it’s a gain.

Kept at it until nearly eight o’clock.

Worried Officer Jenny might show up working overtime, Baimu called it quits, taking all except Steelix over to the creek for a wash.

”Blow dry the fur, tomorrow will be another energetic day.”

Baimu used a brush and cordless hairdryer to dry and groom the furry Pokémon, exhaled a breath under the still relatively cool breeze.

Camping is indeed tiring yet enjoyable.

He sat on a camping chair, Deino resting asleep by his feet, picked up the kettle boiling on the small table, listening to the bubbling sound, made himself a hot cocoa, and covered his knees with a blanket, gazing at the starry sky.

The campfire not far away crackled, with Aggron and Chansey staring at it in a daze.

The noisy sound in the woods behind, whether from the wind or nocturnal Pokémon beginning their activities, occasionally rustled.

Yet, Baimu felt incredibly content.

The animated world is bizarre, mysterious ancient technology, majestic legendary spirits, and sinister evil ghosts; however, with Aggron and the others by his side, he fears nothing.

”Tomorrow will surely be good weather...”
