Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 204: Chapter 201: Mobile Illustrated Guide

The Milotic was anchored in a sea area fifteen nautical miles away from Jinqing Port.

Even though it was unclear why it had to dock so far out, it was indeed worthy of being the fourth-largest luxury cruise ship in the Pokémon World, leaving you awestruck by the enormous pure white hull as you approached.

At first glance, it looked like a moving city on water.

According to the information Baimu had checked, this thing had a total of twenty-two floors, with twenty of them open to visitors, meaning he could go anywhere he pleased. Inside, there was everything from a Pokémon Center to a theater and cinema, and even an incredibly beautiful botanical Eco Park.

Not only that.

To accommodate trainer passengers, one floor was specifically designed as a Pokémon battle arena, equipped with the latest protective installations that allow trainers to battle to their heart’s content as long as the energy levels are within the protective range, no matter how intense the fights get.

A boon for trainers.

After Baimu was ferried to the ship by speedboat, the Milotic arranged for an attendant to greet him and, with the help of the ticket, ushered him to a deluxe room on the eighteenth floor.

The room had a three-meter-high ceiling with over a hundred square feet of space, with a small balcony and two lounge chairs included.

”Here is your room card. If you have any questions or needs, please call the hotline on the wall. Have a pleasant journey.”

The attendant bowed and took his leave.

Baimu glanced around the guest room and exhaled, releasing all his Pokémon.

Aggron landed and immediately headed to the balcony, quickly retracting its head after noticing that the dark below wasn’t land but the sea.

”Roar!”

Feeling somewhat displeased.

The Mawile, also displeased at not seeing a princess bed, decisively occupied the soft sofa and patted the coffee table, ”Chi do!”

Clearly, it urgently needed a cup of tea to solace its mind.

Chansey and Deino were not as demanding, the former slightly disappointed at not finding a kitchen, but upon hearing Mawile’s call, went to make tea willingly.

Deino...

Deino was chewing its hands.

”You little rascal.” Baimu looked at it helplessly, wondering if he should correct this habit.

At least it never happened during battles where it stopped to chew on its hands, so maybe it wasn’t a big deal.

Unquestionably, the released Pokémon did not include Steelix.

Its massive size left little room to move freely within the ship, let alone the cramped guest room, so until they reached their destination, it was unlikely to get a chance to stretch.

To ensure its physical and mental well-being, Baimu used the [Pokémon Box], a black technology, to transport it to Pyrite Town anytime, left in N’s care until they arrived at Hoenn.

With its ability to flexibly travel between Baimu and Pyrite Town, Steelix was also tasked by Aggron with guarding the place and [Cultivated Land].

The [Cultivated Land] skill, when used with fertilizers, can rapidly increase the fertility of the land, greatly aiding crop growth. In Shanren’s five-year plan for agricultural self-sufficiency, Pokémon’s [Cultivated Land] played an essential role.

Steelix had no objection, finding comfort inside the Pokeball, though it didn’t compare to flying in the air or burrowing underground.

After getting used to the new surroundings for a while.

”It’s getting late; let’s rest first. We’ll deal with everything else tomorrow.”

Baimu checked the time on his phone and said to his Pokémon.

”Chi do~” ”Roar~”

Mawile and Aggron raised their hands together; one felt there was no need to lie on a bed that wasn’t a princess bed, and the other, although able to swim, had no fondness for the salty sea water, requesting to return to Pokeballs to sleep.

Baimu had no choice but to comply, briefly washing up before falling asleep with Chansey and Deino.

——

The next day.

Baimu pushed off the Deino dozing on his chest, dispelling the suffocating feeling from his dreams.

But then, he was hit by a mild dizziness.

Getting seasick in the Pokémon World was unexpected for Baimu, though fortunately, it wasn’t particularly serious, easily managed by focusing on something else.

Compared to him, the Pokémon were in good condition, even Aggron, who disliked the sea, seemed unaffected. Apparently, Baimu was the only one ”hit.”

”Lucky~”

Chansey rubbed its eyes while looking at him.

”It’s okay, you can continue sleeping, I’ll have breakfast brought in.” Baimu patted its head, grabbed the phone by the bed, ordered breakfast, and inquired about the fishing competition.

The customer service said that to participate in the fishing competition, simply sign up at the front desk on the eighth floor, with the event scheduled for three days later, at which time the Milotic would dock near a sea area in the Lantier Region.

Lantier Region?

Baimu didn’t immediately recognize the place, so he looked at the Pokémon World’s map and searched. He found out that the Lantier Region was an undeveloped archipelago, composed of various islands with different natural landscapes —

The background setting of ”Pokémon Snap”!

Since it came out after Sword and Shield, this region even had Pokémon from the eighth generation.

Hosting a fishing competition near it, there might be unexpected surprises.

Could it be that my Ghost-type Pokémon was really fished out?

With this question in mind, Baimu finished breakfast and went to the eighth floor to sign up. One of the benefits of the liberation in the Ore Region was granting him a legal status.

No longer a stowaway fleeing illegally.

”Here you are registered as a rookie trainer, I suggest you go to the Pokémon Center on the tenth floor to receive your illustrated guide.”

The receptionist handed back his Trainer Card.

”Me? A rookie trainer?”

Baimu pointed to himself, a bit puzzled.

”Yes, that’s how it’s registered on the computer. If it’s a mistake, please go to the Pokémon Center to update your information.” The receptionist smiled.

He nodded, ”Alright... Thank you.”

”Have a pleasant journey.”

After bidding farewell to the receptionist who scored full marks in service with a smile, Baimu took the elevator to the Pokémon Center, though Miss Joy was nowhere to be seen.

Apparently, there weren’t as many Miss Joys as people thought.

He thought, and began to chat with the front desk staff, soon acquiring a black-designed phone guide.

Currently popular guides come in many, with the trendiest being a square card type guide, the XY design. The phone guide is a prototype, with hints from staff that in Lumiose City, an inventor was working on a guide that Rotom could inhabit.

Even the Rotom guide is still under development...

Baimu searched some news about Fladari, finding him intact and not yet disgraced, and then checked last year’s Unova Region competition results.

He guessed the timeline might be when Ash Ketchum had just arrived in Carlos Region, or wasn’t long after departing.

Of course.

This wasn’t particularly significant; he wasn’t going to Carlos to hang with Ash Ketchum. They’d mind their own business.

”Pretty interesting indeed.”

Playing with the phone guide for a while, Baimu found it more intriguing than expected, though the operation was slightly complex, it’s typical for novice trainers to lose out to more sophisticated phone Rotoms.
