Peerless Divine Doctor

Leaving the antique market, Ye Luo followed Qing Ya back to the Capital City Hotel.

”Do you like President Qin?”

Qing Ya’s gaze fixed on Ye Luo, her tone somewhat subdued.

Ye Luo’s lips curved into a smile as he walked over to the sofa and sat down, crossing his legs, ”Judging by your expression, it seems like you’ve already taken a liking to me. That’s why you care about my relationship with other women, right?”

Qing Ya’s expression changed. ”I do not like you. Regardless, you are still officially my fiancé for now. I don’t like it when you do things that disgrace myself and the Ling Family.”

”Really? Is that truly what you think in your heart?”

Ye Luo got up and slowly walked over to Qing Ya. His gaze pierced straight into her eyes as he pressed his body tightly against hers, the two feeling each other’s breath.

Qing Ya’s expression turned panicky, and she involuntarily took a few steps back. ”I... I’m going back to my room.”

As she was about to turn around and leave, Ye Luo grabbed her and pressed her against the wall. He placed his hands on the wall beside her head, assuming the most classic ’wall-pin’ pose.

In a flash, Qing Ya’s breathing became rapid. Her eyes, filled with panic, looked at Ye Luo, completely devoid of the composure and calmness of the great Ling Family CEO.

”What... what are you doing?” Qing Ya became increasingly nervous, her gaze avoiding Ye Luo’s eyes, her heart swirling with complex emotions.

”You don’t dare to admit it, do you? That you already have my image in your heart. I could call this jealousy,” Ye Luo said with a wicked smile.

”I... I don’t, and I don’t like you either,” Qing Ya quickly denied, though what she truly thought, only she knew.

”Mmm...”

Ye Luo fiercely kissed her, forcibly kissing Qing Ya. In an instant, her eyes widened, and she let out soft groans, struggling in his arms, yet without any effect.

This was Ye Luo’s first kiss with Qing Ya, and it was also Qing Ya’s first kiss, stolen by Ye Luo just like that.

But Qing Ya soon snapped back to reality. She despised this good-for-nothing, unserious fiancé of hers. How could she let him have his way? This scoundrel, daring to treat her like this!

A surge of strength burst forth from Qing Ya’s body, and she pushed Ye Luo away. Her cheeks flushed as if she were drunk, her eyes a mix of shyness, complexity, and a touch of resentment as she shot him a glance, then hurriedly turned and left.

”It seems that the first step went smoothly,” Ye Luo touched his lips, smiling devilishly.

Rushing out of Ye Luo’s room, Qing Ya happened to run into Ling Huatao coming back. He looked at Qing Ya’s expression and couldn’t help saying, ”What’s wrong, Qing Ya?”

”I’m fine,” Qing Ya said before quickly returning to her own room next door.

”She just came out of Ye Luo’s room... could it be...” Ling Huatao thought of something, his expression darkening, a frown creasing his brow.

”No way.” Ling Huatao shook his head firmly and quickly left the hotel.

At this moment, Ling Qingya returned to her own room and sprawled on the bed, feeling her heart beating violently as the scene from before played repeatedly in her mind.

”Damn that guy!” Ling Qingya cursed under her breath, pulling the blanket over herself.

As for Ye Luo, he immediately took out the emerald jade stones and started his cultivation; he did not use the emerald for now, instead, he began absorbing the Spiritual Energy from the other jade stones.

The strands of cool Spiritual Energy entering his body made Ye Luo feel instantly lighter all over, his entire being felt extremely comfortable, and the Nine Yang True Qi within him swiftly grew stronger.

In the blink of an eye, more than two hours had passed, and it was completely dark outside; Ye Luo had absorbed all of the Spiritual Energy from two emerald jade stones.

The Nine Yang True Qi inside him had more than doubled. He felt he was at the threshold between the Early Phases and Middle Stage of the Innate Realm, ready to break through to the Innate Middle Stage at any moment, lacking only an opportunity.

Noticing the darkness outside, Ye Luo felt a bit hungry. He walked out of his room, and just then the door of the neighboring room opened. Ling Qingya emerged, dressed in a plain white long dress, her entire demeanor graceful and poised.

Their gazes met, and Ling Qingya’s complexion quickly took on a shade of crimson.

Ye Luo, with his thick-skinned demeanor, asked casually, ”Care to join me for dinner?”

”Let’s go,” replied Ling Qingya, a veteran in the business world, quickly regaining control of her emotions, her complexion returning to normal, and she walked out without further ado.

The two headed straight to the first floor, planning to go out to eat as the food in the hotel was not to their taste.

However, just as they stepped out of the hotel’s elevator on the first floor, a barrage of police sirens approached, and several police cars stopped outside the hotel. A throng of officers rushed in, and the leader, after scanning the room, saw Ye Luo and waved his hand, directing the group of police straight towards him.

”What seems to be the matter?”

Watching the group of police approach him, Ye Luo’s pupils sharpened as he said.

”We received a report that you illegally took possession of an immensely valuable emerald. Please come with us to the station for an investigation,” said the leading police officer to Ye Luo, his tone grave.

Ye Luo’s expression darkened, ”Who said that? The emerald is mine; I bought it and unveiled it myself from a stone.”

”Yeah, officer, could there be some mistake?” Ling Qingya chimed in quickly.

”The report came from the owner of the jade store. As for what happened, we will be clear once we investigate. Now, please come with us,” said the officer, and one of the police took out handcuffs and clasped them on Ye Luo, who offered no resistance. He was, after all, a good citizen. If there wasn’t a misunderstanding, then there must be a conspiracy at play.

”Search for his room and find that piece of evidence—the emerald,” instructed the leader to the other police officers before taking Ye Luo away with them.

”Ye Luo!” Ling Qingya’s complexion sank, and she involuntarily called out, her eyes flashing rapidly as she thought of something and hurriedly pulled out her phone to dial a number.

Soon, Ye Luo was taken to the Capital City Police Station and was directly locked in the interrogation room. He didn’t object to this treatment; on the contrary, he was somewhat prepared to let things unfold, whether it was a misunderstanding or a conspiracy. He could only wait, as someone was bound to come forward eventually, and that would be his moment to act. For now, waiting was acceptable.

In the office of the Police Chief within the station, Situ Ao sat on the couch, accompanied by the owner of the jade store and the Chief of the Police, Zeng Fang.
