Peerless Divine Doctor

The two stood silently in the elevator, and Ye Luo was the first to speak, ”Nurse, did that guy do anything to you?”

”No, thank you. If you hadn’t stepped in, I might have...”

Just thinking about what might have happened if Ye Luo hadn’t shown up sent shivers down Lin Xiaoyan’s spine, and her pretty face turned pale.

”Don’t worry, it’s all over now. That guy won’t be bothering you anymore.”

Ye Luo said to Lin Xiaoyan with a mischievous smile on his lips. He meant what he said, and he already had plans to take care of the director; with the latter’s past deeds, even if the hospital chief wanted to cover for him, it would be easy to arrange for someone to throw him in jail—forever, if necessary.

He could also ensure that the director wouldn’t die of old age in prison. Scum like him didn’t deserve such an end; there were plenty of ”brothers” inside who’d take care of him.

Seeing Ye Luo’s devilishly radiant smile, Lin Xiaoyan’s eyes flickered with a bewildered glow, her heart fluttering as she remembered how he had suddenly appeared when she was in despair.

”From now on, don’t call me nurse. Just call me Xiaoyan.”

As the elevator doors opened and Lin Xiaoyan followed Ye Luo out, she said it softly. Xiaoyan was her nickname, usually reserved for those she was really close to. Letting Ye Luo use it hinted at a blossoming fondness.

”Sure, Xiaoyan, and why don’t you call me Luo Luo?”

Ye Luo looked at Lin Xiaoyan with a teasing expression. As an experienced player, how could he not understand her thoughts? Pushing the boundaries was basic strategy for him.

Lin Xiaoyan’s cheeks flushed again, her long, fair neck also turning rosy as she stuttered, ”That wouldn’t be right, I should call you Ye Luo instead.”

”Okay then, Xiaoyan. Didn’t you say you wanted me to do acupuncture for your dad? How about I go today?”

”Right, that’s what I wanted to talk about. I mentioned you to my father yesterday. Are you free after I finish work tonight? I’d like to take you to my place.”

”Meeting the parents so soon doesn’t seem quite right; I’m not even prepared,” Ye Luo said awkwardly, glancing at Lin Xiaoyan. ”And if I’m going over in the evening, does that mean I have to stay at your place overnight? Should I prepare anything? You know, safety first...”

”Oh... what are you talking about? I just want you to do acupuncture for my dad, to see if you can help his legs recover.”

Lin Xiaoyan glared at Ye Luo with a mix of embarrassment and irritation, her eyes both reproachful and resentful, which only made Ye Luo’s heart race all the more.

”Ye Luo, what’s gotten into you?”

Seeing Ye Luo’s mischievous grin, Lin Xiaoyan couldn’t help but ask.

Huh?

Ye Luo quickly snapped back to reality, flashing a grin: ”Nothing, it’s just that you’re so beautiful I got distracted without realizing it.”

”You... you...” Ye Luo’s frankness left Lin Xiaoyan, the innocent girl, at a loss for words, blushing and looking down, unsure of what to do.

Ye Luo laughed heartily. Such an adorable girl was a rare find indeed, naturally cute, unlike those fake ingenues he’d swiftly kicked to the curb.

”Ye Luo, will you be free tonight?”

Lin Xiaoyan looked at Ye Luo, her eyes filled with hopeful anticipation.

”Of course you can, how can I refuse a beauty’s request? When you finish work, give me a call, and I’ll come to the hospital to pick you up. Then we can go to your place together.”

Ye Luo said, giving Lin Xiaoyan his phone number.

Afterward, Ye Luo flirted a bit more with the cute sister Lin Xiaoyan, laughing heartily as he left the hospital.

After leaving the hospital, Ye Luo called Situ Luoyun, then headed straight for the villa where he had treated her chest before.

As Ye Luo drove up to the villa, a woman dressed in black came out.

”Mr. Ye, my sister is inside.”

The woman in black said coldly, looking at Ye Luo.

”Hey beauty, why the long face? Smile a little, it makes you even more beautiful,” Ye Luo said with a slight upturn of his mouth.

Despite Ye Luo’s teasing, the woman in black remained cool, her icy gaze betraying no other emotion.

”Ah, I really don’t know how Situ Luoyun trained you guys to be so icy cold,” Ye Luo murmured, following the woman in black into the villa and heading directly to a side that housed a huge swimming pool.

In the crystal-clear water, a graceful figure swam like a mermaid, stirring up ripples. The figure was slender and elegant, unmistakably Situ Luoyun.

”Big sister, Mr. Ye is here,” the woman in black said to Situ Luoyun in the pool.

Splash!

Water splashed as Situ Luoyun’s figure emerged from the pool, her hair scattered with water droplets, and her stunning face bejeweled with water, looking even more glamorous.

She slowly stepped out of the pool, glanced at Ye Luo, and said indifferently, ”Mr. Ye, you’re here? Please wait for a moment, I set a goal to swim a thousand meters every day, and I’m still three hundred meters short.”

Ye Luo made a ’take your time’ gesture, sprawling comfortably on a poolside lounge chair. A woman in black brought him cut fruit and drinks. Although they were all cool and detached, it’s undeniable they had been trained well by Situ Luoyun, knowing how to serve people.

Ye Luo relaxed, eating fruit and drinking, with the delightful view of Situ Luoyun’s graceful swimming to enjoy, a scene many men would dream of.

Sitting by Situ Luoyun’s pool, being waited on with fruit, watching Situ Luoyun swim by like a mermaid - other men would have given up years of their life for this.

As for Ye Luo, he was simply appreciative, not dreamily so. Giving up years of his life? No way.

Situ Luoyun could feel Ye Luo’s gaze upon her, feeling neither embarrassed nor bothered. She just thought Ye Luo was rather unabashed. Every time she turned her head, his gaze was fixed on her, blatant and rude without a hint of politeness.

But then again, considering Ye Luo’s character, politeness seemed nonexistent with him. He always looked at people so openly, taking advantage of them. He could really be called a rogue, which somehow made him less repulsive than those nauseating hypocrites.

Situ Luoyun emerged from the water, exhaling softly. What was she thinking about, why was this guy always popping into her head lately? He was far from meeting her standards for a partner.
