One Piece : Noble Phantasm Maker

Chapter 231: Chapter 231: Protect Robin

Seeing that they were starting to waver, Aokiji’s face turned cold.

”Would you like me to explain which forces she has brought down? I’m sure it would change your opinion of her.”

Before Aokiji could say more, Luffy shouted:

”Shut up! I don’t want to hear it!”

”Even if it’s true, that’s just how history has unfolded. History will never repeat itself because of one person!”

”Robin is our crewmate. If you want to take her away, you’ll have to defeat all of us first!”

As soon as he said this, all the crew members behind Luffy broke into bright smiles.

Sanji calmly lit a cigarette and took a drag.

”Our idiot captain can actually make a pretty convincing argument when he wants to.”

Even Zoro had a smile on his face. He pushed his thumb against the hilt of Wado Ichimonji, drawing the blade slightly.

”I don’t trust that woman, but I have no choice but to follow the captain’s orders.”

While everyone else prepared for battle, Raynor was calculating how to escape.

He knew that even if they all joined forces, they still had no chance against Aokiji.

Aokiji’s strength was far beyond that of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

Even Hawkeye had been unable to defeat him. Beating Aokiji was even more impossible.

But just as Raynor was thinking about how to get away, the system’s notification suddenly rang out.

[Ding! Congratulations, host. You have triggered a story mission: Protect Robin. Upon completion, you will receive 1,200 points of all-attribute experience, several forging materials, and a blueprint for a gold detector.]

Hearing the system’s notification, Raynor frowned slightly.

Since there was a mission, he would have to at least fight Aokiji.

With that in mind, Raynor quietly moved in front of Robin.

Noticing what Raynor had done, Robin bit her lower lip, deeply moved.

Seeing that Aokiji was about to say something else, Robin shouted:

”Stop talking nonsense! I already...”

Before Robin could finish, a cold look appeared in Aokiji’s eyes. A terrifying chill began spreading from his entire body.

In an instant, a stream of cold air gathered toward Robin.

At that moment, Robin activated the Flower-Flower Fruit and caused arms to sprout all over Aokiji’s body.

Since Aokiji had a Logia-type Devil Fruit, Robin had to attack quickly. Once he turned into an element, her attacks would no longer work.

Robin wrapped the arms around Aokiji’s entire body.

Then she pulled downward, and Aokiji’s body broke apart.

Luffy and the others stared in shock.

But Aokiji had turned into a pile of ice.

The next second, a wave of cold air instantly wrapped around Robin.

Seeing this, Raynor knew that Aokiji would appear again very soon.

With that in mind, Raynor silently spoke in his head:

”System, extract the Dragon Talisman!”

As soon as he said this, a hexagonal stone appeared in Raynor’s hand.

Raynor gripped the Dragon Talisman tightly and gathered a mass of flames in his mouth.

The next second, Aokiji suddenly appeared and pulled Robin into his arms.

The freezing cold instantly covered Robin. In the blink of an eye, a thin layer of frost had formed over her body.

Raynor did not hesitate. He immediately spit out a blast of fire.

Robin had already been frozen stiff, so the flames should remove the cold from her body without hurting her.

The powerful flames shot into the sky, and the temperature around them rose sharply.

Luffy and the others could not stand the heat and hurriedly backed away.

Even Aokiji, standing at the center of the flames, showed a hint of shock.

He had not expected Raynor to possess such incredible power.

However, this level of attack was still not enough to overcome the Ice-Ice Fruit.

With that thought, a chill slowly gathered in Aokiji’s hand.

A blade made of ice soon appeared in his grip.

He swung it forward, and the raging flames were split in two.

Robin had managed to maintain a little warmth with the flames, but Aokiji still froze her.

Raynor’s brows drew tightly together.

He immediately charged toward Aokiji.

Before Robin could freeze completely, Raynor kicked Aokiji away.

The next second, Raynor breathed out a stream of fire, trying to melt the ice covering Robin.

But the ice on Robin’s body did not melt. Instead, her breathing grew weaker and weaker.

Raynor stopped the flames. It seemed that this would have to be left to Chopper.

With that in mind, Raynor turned to Chopper and said:

”Chopper, hurry and take Robin away. Melt the ice on her body. I’ll hold this place.”

Without saying a word, Chopper transformed into his gorilla form, hoisted Robin onto his shoulder, and started running.

But the next moment, Aokiji was already waiting along Chopper’s path.

A statue of ice suddenly appeared in front of him, and Chopper was so scared that he nearly jumped out of his skin.

Just as Aokiji was about to raise his leg, Raynor’s voice suddenly came from behind him.

”Hey, picking on small animals isn’t nice.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Raynor kicked Aokiji in the side.

In an instant, Aokiji turned into ice, which Raynor shattered with one kick.

With the danger gone, Chopper carried Robin toward the ship.

At that moment, Aokiji re-formed in his original position. His eyes were filled with seriousness.

”Not bad. No wonder the World Government is so wary of you.”

”You’re already this strong at such a young age. Who knows how dangerous you’ll be when you grow up?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Aokiji bent down and launched himself into the air.

Luffy, who had been waiting for the right moment, stretched out his arm and attacked Aokiji.

Seeing this, Raynor slapped his forehead.

That idiot was actually attacking Aokiji with his bare hands. Wasn’t he just handing over his weakness?

Sure enough, before Luffy’s fist could even reach Aokiji—

Aokiji muttered something under his breath, and a wave of cold instantly traveled along Luffy’s arm, freezing it.

One of Luffy’s arms turned into ice.

Luffy’s face went pale with fear.

He tried to pull away, but his entire body froze in an instant.

He became a statue.

Raynor could have stopped it, but he chose not to.

Luffy’s arm had turned into ice while stretched out that far.

If only the lower half of his body had remained unfrozen, Luffy might have shattered his own arm in a panic.

It was better to let his entire body freeze and avoid any trouble afterward.

Seeing this, anger flashed in Zoro’s eyes. He was about to draw his sword and fight, but Raynor stopped him.

”Wait, Zoro. Hurry and take Luffy back so Chopper can thaw him out.”

”Be careful. Don’t let his arm hit anything. I’ll handle things here.”
