One-Eyed Monster

Igor and Master Lao finally reached a smooth level of communication, ensuring that no misunderstandings would arise between them anymore.

Such misunderstandings are easy to happen but also easy to resolve—once all issues are clearly explained, all misunderstandings will be eliminated. Master Lao and Igor are not people who distort facts; they both have a rational side and would certainly reflect on this misunderstanding. At this moment, Igor and Master Lao exchanged silent glances, knowing well that it was best not to speak now, lest their words break the serenity and make things more awkward.

Kadi was still playing with his Butterfly Dual Blades, not as sensitive as Igor and Master Lao, nor did he think so much. For him, everything he encountered or experienced now was a valuable gain, so he was enjoying the moment.

Master Lao was also feeling conflicted, unsure of what to do, with a mix of sour and sweet feelings. Facing Igor, he didn’t know whether to say thank you or to apologize.

Of course, these concerns were still superficial. Master Lao remained entangled with the Craftsman Spirit on him, unsure whether it was good or bad or why it appeared on him. These questions suddenly surfaced; originally, he hadn’t interacted with such things, but now he was forced to step into that world.

May Igor and his comrades lend him some help.

At this moment, Igor felt relieved that the misunderstanding had finally unraveled, and the knot in his heart eased, leaving him feeling much lighter. Reflecting on the experience, he couldn’t help but think again of the Craftsman Spirit on Master Lao.

No matter if Master Lao was willing or not, he now had no freedom to choose. Even if he was kindly protected, Master Lao could no longer live the way he used to.

In the past, Master Lao might have been happy for days over crafting a weapon, living carefree within the blacksmith shop, without worrying if anyone would come for forging tomorrow or if someone would return to wreck his shop. Such days might be gone forever; the invisible enemy had evidently set eyes on the Craftsman Spirit on him, and these enemies would use new methods to extract this energy from him to form a new Spirit Core. Although the Puppet Monster failed, it confirmed to other enemies the existence of the Craftsman Spirit on Master Lao...Next, more people would come to Master Lao, would come here to contest for the Craftsman Spirit, and would come to capture him.

Master Lao had no resistance; he was merely a blacksmith. Even though he possessed this precious Craftsman Spirit, he didn’t know how to utilize it. He was completely an outsider yet had to endure various pressures.

Danger had unknowingly approached Master Lao, yet he was oblivious to it. Now Igor felt that regardless of whether Master Lao was willing, he had to take him away.

There’s no way around it; the more he thought, the worse it seemed. Additionally, Igor felt that it might be difficult to ensure Master Lao’s safety with just him and Kadi...

Igor’s thoughts were wandering further and further, clearly making a projection into the future. Even though the projection result wasn’t very satisfactory, all indications pointed to the importance of the Craftsman Spirit on Master Lao!

Otherwise, the invisible enemy wouldn’t have come here.

Igor was not only projecting but also reflecting; the Craftsman Spirit on Master Lao was definitely not a recent acquisition. If it had always been there, then why did the invisible enemy wait until now to make a move? Why was there no activity during his and Kadi’s intensive training?

Igor couldn’t figure out this issue right away. Now he had too many questions in his mind, such as how to plan Master Lao’s future and how to face the invisible enemy, all turning around in his head.

Strangely enough, although they were talking with Master Lao in the blacksmith shop before, it was now silent... the sound of a pin dropping could probably be heard. This silence made Kadi somewhat restless; he quietly stepped outside the shop, leaving the two deep in thought inside.

Kadi just stepped out when he saw a blue circle of light rising slowly across the way, with a sense of familiarity—a feeling from a friend.

”Kadi, hello!” As the light circle disappeared, a Thunder Army officer appeared in front of Kadi, looking mighty!

”How do you know I’m Kadi?!” Kadi asked curiously, clearly thinking that he wore a mask and people wouldn’t easily recognize him.

”Because your scent never changes, don’t forget, I’m an ancient Hunter. No matter how many masks you wear, I can pin you out immediately!” The speaker was naturally Stan Sol from the Sol Brothers, who came alone this time.

”Alright, long time no see, Stan!” Kadi finally uttered the greeting he should have said at the beginning.

”Is Igor inside?” Stan Sol wasted no time on pleasantries with Kadi and directly asked.

”Yes, he seems to be pondering something very difficult; I saw his frowning expression and stepped out...” Kadi truthfully told Stan.

”Alright, I’ll go take a look!” Stan Sol walked briskly into the blacksmith shop.

Igor was aware someone came in but didn’t expect it to be Stan Sol; he thought it was Kadi coming back in and didn’t pay much attention.

”Igor!” Seeing Igor, Stan couldn’t restrain his excitement, not caring whether Igor was contemplating a significant issue, and greeted him directly. Old friends meeting each other had many things to share, and Stan Sol seemed to have a lot to say to Igor, so he couldn’t wait.

Igor looked up and realized it was Stan Sol, immediately standing up: ”So fast! Your speed is simply unbelievable now!”

”People do need to improve; we’ve now mastered the teleportation technique expertly!” Stan Sol responded calmly to Igor’s compliment.

Igor and Stan Sol exchanged a brief hug, for friends had indeed been apart for a long time, having much to discuss at this moment.

”It’s wonderful you can come here; evidently, Gaga County’s administrative office hasn’t reached the capacity to deal with such problems. No disasters like this have ever happened here before!”

”I’ve heard all about it, fortunately, you are here, or we’d have failed again this time!”

”Again?” Igor seemed to catch something from Stan’s words.
